- With disinterested and curt onboard staff, and a confused onboard service routine my expectations for Gulf Air definitely weren't met. It wasn't awful by any means, but it definitely wouldn't encourage me to fly them again.

Aer Lingus serves drinks BEFORE meals. It so hard not to finish the tiny can of cola. If you ask for a drink during your meal, they simply tell you to wait.
There should be drinks before and with the meal IMO. 😅 Perhaps just drinks WITH the meal on redeye flights when people want to sleep!

I traveled on Gulf Air from LHR to the Maldives last November. I was initially excited to try the airline as I’d never flown with them before. Boy. was I disappointed! The crew seemed very tired and grumpy (there didn’t seem to be many crew which surprised me considering the flight was absolutely full). The food wasn’t great, but hey its economy! The drinks service was infrequent and you didn’t get a drink with your meal which was strange. Price wise it was okay, but I think I’ll probably pay a bit more and fly either Emirates or Qatar next time as their inflight service is better!
Yes, they were the cheapest option for my trip. Get what you pay for I guess!
I am ex gf crew, so shocked at the low level of service you received, in my day economy was excellent. Thanks for a great video, we are travelling with Gulf in March 2023, let's hope it has improved by then 😀

You should see their short haul international flights on their A320/21's, even less underwhelming.
Wow that service looked very poor! If you want affordable prices and a good service (if not maybe even better than Emirates or Qatar) then you should try Turkish Airlines, they are truly amazing! 😊

I have a question this is my first time flying gulf air and there is restriction of 6kg hand luggage per person, do they check the weight of hand luggage ?
I can't remember to be honest. They may have checked at check in.

Yes!
Gulf Air is cheaper compared to Qatar, Emirates, and Etihad.
As long as the plane is comfortable (looked great to me actually) and the food is fine, combined with cheaper plane fare, it's fine by me so I'll take it. 😄.
The next time I fly, I'll definitely try Gulf Air.
The plane is a plane, generic 787 configuration and amenities. Ticket price shouldn't account for the missmatched service though.
Thats the basic seat configuration of any 787 ive been on, They're very similar to Qatar's economy class to be honest.
The crew might have been lazy or tired , this is a very unusual service for airlines in the Arab Gulf region. Airlines there have really high standards when it comes to passengers , this shows how the "crew" can really make or break an airline's reputation.

i booked an all rounder ticket with Gulf Air as a first time flier (With Gulf Air not in general), The experience was so horrible that i cancelled my return ticket with Gulf Air and instead booked my return ticket with Qatar, Gulf Air is Ryanair/WizzAir on a silver plate, The Deck Crew was very unprofessional, Their serving times were horrible (as mentioned in this video).
My trip was almost ruined, It was a pretty long flight too! Glad i was able to book my return ticket somewhere else.
Personally, Avoid Gulf Air if you can, They just improved their Fleet of Planes and Interior, Hospitality is the same as 2017 when the airline was basically dead and unheard of, Not to mention the Bahrain International Airport was underwhelming, However i dont blame them for the Airport since it is a country of only 1,4 Million people and not a hub for international flights, So having a giant airport wouldn't have made sense, From their perspective i think they did pretty good with the airport, But since they have opened a new $1,1 Billion terminal, Im guessing their trying to improve their Aviation, Also considering that Gulf Air is the flag carrier, Some minor changes can bring BIG DIFFERENCES!
I do have high hopes for the airline, Hopefully they'll understand having a giant fleet of planes and a big airport won't make the Airline any better.

Someone had just spoken my mind😂 I travelled from Chennai to London having connecting flight in Bahrain, Both the Gulf Air flights had megre Man power, no one was there even to serve water to elderly and for kids, Which doesn't happen with Anyother airlines. Food was very average and quantity was soo less which cant even fill 30 percent for a good eating Human. Coming to the movie part, they have subtitles off or in Arabic, Man who cares to watch them in Arabic? Gulf air should really improve their services.

Why don't Gulfair look around and see how their neighbours Qatar and Emirates provide excellent service on their flights ?

Not trying to defend GF, but usually their prices are lesser than the neighboring big 3 so the service is expected to be bit low

@@VisualApproach I have been on GF few times (short haul) and their service was appropriate for a short haul....never had any issues in terms of meals, luggage allowance, connectivity.... possibly they need to improve on long haul
