Buggy is seriously the most compassionate and empathetic child ever! I remember watching one of your vlogs and you were waxing lip and she started crying cuz she saw you were in pain! So sweet!!
I'm starting recovery from my Eating Disorder and it's a rough road :( but hearing people can and have recovered fully always gives me hope so thank you x
Hahaha I remember your hair with the blonde bangs in your very old videos !! Great q&a!! You are glowing in this video Carah ! 😍 would love to see more look books if you are willing to do them ! Xxx
Love these videos and all of your videos! I'm pregnant with my first and you and your family make me want a girl so bad! We find out in three weeks! You are such an inspiration to me. A wife, mom, and still having your passions. You go girl!
Carah, I've been a long-time viewer of yours, way back to when you would do what I wore for the week outfit videos, and your personality and genuineness has always stood out to me! Since I watched so much of your videos, I've noticed a lot of your quirks and it's so cute. Haha. Anyway, I think one thing you can do to further improve your channel is to elaborate more on why you love certain products. Often times I hear you say "Oh I love (insert name brand here) so much, because it's just so awesome and cool". I think if you explain more, it would be beneficial to your viewers. Like saying, "I love this brand because they offer a huge collection, they cater to all skin types, it has good quality, etc". I think you have such great knowledge on make up that explaining more rather than using a broad adjective would be really helpful to a lot of us :)
I have been recovered from anorexia and bulimia for 10 years as well. I struggled for 14 years of my life and I feel so blessed to have come through it. I worry for my kids as well, but as long as we model a healthy body image we can reduce the likelihood of them developing issues in the future.
Yaaaaay!!!! I LOVE LOOVE LOOOOVE this type of videos is real nice getting to know you more n I've missed you so much I used to watch your daily vlogs all the time you were actually my first youtuber I watched n been watching since then! Love your beautiful family!! Can't wait for more videos from you! Xoxo
Love you Carah! It was so sweet what you said about older women looking beautiful and wise even with wrinkles. I'm only 31 and I sometimes catch myself starting to freak out about wrinkles. You helped remind me to embrace what I have now and into the future :) thank you ! xo
+rachael0814 one of my favorite quotes is... "growing old is a privilege denied to many." i always tell myself that when i feel like I'm looking or feeling older.
Yes Carah I always wondered why so many elderly or just old women cut their hair off. I imagine it just becomes hard to manage but I will always have my long hair. My culture being Native we keep our hair long. I will just have a braid full of grays and be so proud of it! lol :-) Oh and i LOVE your Q & A videos xoxoxoxo
i love that you give us the opportunity to get to know you better from video to video :) i enjoy watching every video you put on and hope that you will be able to do and live your passion youtube as long as you want to :)
So I've been getting into vegan and vegetarian food and one day I made some really good chickpea tacos. They're kind of messy, but I definitely feel like chick peas can hold place of meat for a lot of foods.
+Carah Amelie well you are super beautiful. And I love your videos and always watch your mommy ones. I have a little girl who just turned one. Thanks for replying to my comment, it's really awesome.
i struggled with eating and my weight from age 18-21...i got over it when i fell in love with my husband. i took a jogging class at the same time when i met him, and i think it was the perfect storm. i never starved myself since and my relationship with food has been so different. im 30 now :)
Carah I had no idea you had an eating disorder! I also suffered from one from the age of 20-22. I had bulimia so badly that some days I felt deathly ill. My eyes were always baggy, my neck swollen, along with so many other issues. My personal, professional, and educational life was affected greatly. One of my biggest regrets was struggling with that while on a once in a lifetime study abroad in Italy. I missed so many great memories because I chose to sneak off and binge instead of enjoying the country. It made me so sick that I'd sleep in and show up late for the group outings. My fellow students and professor made a "Where's Candice" t shirt after the trip. They had no idea what was really going on so it hurt. Well that was 2003-2005. I overcame it and never went back! It was a huge accomplishment :) Anyway, long story. You just inspired me to share that with you. If you don't mind me asking, what disorder did you have?
+Candi i had anorexia. i have a whole video talking about it. so happy for you that you overcame it and never went back. its so amazing to be well and not suffer from those horrible thoughts all of the time.
Awesome video & funny intro Carah! 👍 love your personality and style 😙. Did I hear Alaina say she likes the name Neha? coz thats my name...or atleast close enough...yay! 😃😚
You need to go to a "real" Mexican restaurant because there is a huge variety of meatless dishes (trust me i am Mexican and live in México, no Taco Bell, Chipotle or anything like that).
Just a warning, beans and rice at Mexican restaurants are not vegetarian or vegan! I wasn't sure if you said that meaning you eat that so just wanted to give you a heads up :) I wish they were because I used to love eating Mexican food :P
Kaite Simons I can't speak for all restaurants but the ones I have talked to it about use chicken broth in the rice. As far as the beans, I'm not sure what makes them not vegetarian :/
I totally understand what you mean about not wanting to "plant the seed" of eating disorders but from a kids point of view I would like to say that maybe you will reconsider around high school age talking about it. My mom has depression but never talked to me about it and when I started getting depressed and self harming I felt even worse cause I didn't know it was even a thing. I think if my mom would have been more honest with me (maybe not even the whole story) but things like "it's ok to feel sad and if you start feeling this way please talk to me" maybe with your girls "I know there's a lot of pressure to look a certain way" maybe not even your story specifically but making them aware of unhealthy behaviors so it doesn't go so far. Hopefully that made sense but I just wanted to comment because I think I could have gotten help a lot sooner if those hard discussions were had! (:
+Teionna Monae yeah I agree. if either of them ever seem to be struggling with body image, or say passing comments to me about how they look etc, i might bring it up in a very simple manner and that they can always talk to me.
This is going off the question about telling your girls about your eating disorder and also the title of the video. Do you think switching to veganism and modeling that diet to your girls could influence an eating disorder into them? I know veganism cuts out a lot of "normal" foods and can sometimes can label them as "bad."
+Emily Davis im not making them be vegan or vegetarian. however, because my and my husband don't eat it anymore, they automatically don't eat quite as much anymore. Because of my past, I don't want them to have any worries or anything like that about food. but if Alaina or Emery are interested in vegetarianism.. or veganism, I have a feeling they would let me kno and ask me about it, and we can work on it together. I'm always going to try to keep open communication with things like that. :) but right now i do think its they are too young to explain to them that i don't eat meat and why. I will save that convo for later. :)

I love how articulate and animated you get when you talk about your daughters! So beautiful to see how you glow as a mother!
Your eyes look so different! They kinda looked pinned back! Gorgeous!
