Somehow, Gustavo feels like he's supposed to be the Mario of the Pizza Tower universe, while Peppino is more like the Wario of the Pizza Tower universe
Its neat to see how in the steam release they made this level almost exclusively Gus and Brick, yet somehow ended up changing very little in that process other than removing the little relay points.
Man pizza tower looked so floaty and slow in the pre release builds, Im so glad the game is blisteringly fast now, or it wouldn't be nearly as fun to get good at imo
Old version where if you took 8 hits (very hard challenge), you'll be rushed to gustavo's pizzaria where you'll say the bad news, he gets pizzed, releases his ultra instinct, grabs peppino, and punches his balls almost like 6 times even though you take damage like 4 times
As someone who has only played the final build, whenever I watch gameplay of Eggplant I'm always shocked by how finished the game seems, with only some smaller differences... then there's Gnome Forest. While I do think the changes to Gustavo's moveset and the removal of multiple switches are good, I don't think the stage was changed enough to make up for that. It's most noticeable to me in the secrets and getting to Gerome, but the previous Peppino sections also feel just a bit off and points placed on wall jump spots don't always line up well with the way it works now (also noticeable on the part in Pig City where you have to walljump between the shockers)

This game, (if it comes out) might become a new favorite of mine. I love Wario land games and just kinda accepted that we might never get something like it again. This game has proved me wrong. I definitely want to play the full game soon. Hopefully we get news next year.

well the game is based off of the warioland games, which had some smooth and fast movement.
The Wario Land games were 2D Sonic but 1000x better. This is modernized Wario Land, hence it's obviously going to be better.
