It’s refreshing to see makeup applied NORMALLY, without all the contouring, highlighting, microblading, lip fillers, etc. You look like you, only more lovely. Thanks for all the tips, Angela!❤
Absolutely! There are a lot of make-up tutorials for older women, and my God- sometimes 20 different make-up products are used, and that doesn't even include all the skin-care products before that! I do not have more than 5-10 minutes for my face before heading to work, let alone hundreds of extra dollars to spend on products! I LOVE that you are using items you can buy in a grocery store, keeping things simple and light and that you are not after looking like an air-brushed oil painting! When I'm seen without make-up, I do not want to look unrecognizable; I don't want people to ask me "Oh, are you sick?" when they see me sans make up! Sheer, natural enhancements are where it's at for me, so I applaud your desire for a more natural look. And thank you for bringing up how horrible black eyeliner looks (personally I think on anyone) especially on older ladies! The grey you used was super nice; I typically use the darkest eye shadow I'm wearing that day for a liner when I have the time. I use mascara on my bottom lashes too, and that usually results in a lined look (I use brownish-black mascara). And, BTW- I thought your brows looked great and you don't need them done! I wish I had never plucked mine when I was younger, they too are getting thinner on the outer corners as I'm getting older, like you mentioned. I use that exact same brow product by Elf; finally found a color that works for an ashy-blonde that doesn't end up looking orange. Your hair color is great! I'm a natural blonde and my hair has gotten darker over the years (not out in the sun anymore) and now am starting to grey- time to do blonde highlights for blending in the white and grey! But I really appreciate the suggestion for the fly-aways on the top of the head- the grey/white hairs are the culprits, and your method of taming them is great. I have naturally wavy hair and really like your beachy waves! You look fantastic with straight hair too, nice that you have the option to go with either style. Keep on; enjoyed your vid a lot!
As a makeup artist may I suggest just one tip? blend each product after application. Blend with a brush or a damp sponge so that the makeup doesn't; appear blotchy or spotty. It will even out the color. especially on your lids. Use a brush to contour your blush so that it is even. (hands won't allow the pigment to look more flawless ) Just a tip ! Love your beach curls!! Love your channel
I’m not a make up artist but could see how all the colors could be evened out over the face. Maybe when she looks back at her video she’ll see that also. I love all the things you’re using on your face. Nothing screams make up. Just brings out the nice face features.
I bought another brand of the balm which was less expensive than Jones Road. I think because I have dry skin it soaks in more and actually seems to disappear several hours later. I’ve heard JR is sticky and your photo proved it.
I adore your new look! The grey eyeliner really enhances your blue eyes and the beach wave is a much younger look for you, and it really makes your hair look thicker. Young and flirty, but not too young. It’s just right. 😀
You may like this BB cream I been using for like 10 years, it’s Cover Girl CG Smoothers BB cream tinted moisturizer + sunscreen broad spectrum SPF 21. I’m fair like you and I use 805 fair to light. It drys, it’s non greasy and super light. Label says: natural looking radiance, sheer color, all day hydration, improves skin elasticity, blends effortlessly, light weight, helps skin feel smooth, won’t clog pores. I feel it does all these things!
@@angelamasson-fashionover50 i had the exact same experience with all with all the bb creams as you did, way too much glow, looked sweaty, the Jones Road is vasaline like yuck!
I couldn't agree more with the Jones product - I bought it and ended up throwing it out! I felt like I was putting Vaseline on my face!! Love the way your hair came out!! Very cute and perfect for a special occasion! I just started watching your videos and enjoy them very much. I am 71 years old and need the more mature ideas!

Love your beachy waves❤. You look younger with them. You did great with the makeup choices. New hairdo new makeup😊 You go girl you look gorgeous. Love your channel. Have a bless week. Stay safe. ❤️😊😊
Dear Angela, thank you for your tip about the mascara primer: I had never heard of it. I instantly bought it and it turned out to be an eye-opener for me. It suddenly looked like I had longer eyelashes: fantastic!! It makes my look so much more expressive.
Angela, I really like the new makeup look. All the new products that you have used still make you look fresh and natural. You also look really good with both hair styles. It is nice to have a different look to change up the routine. Thank you for all the great tips!
I just came across this video and I love her! She sounds so much like me!! No fuss and not too much of an effort to look like someone else and the when you take the make up off people will say “ “Have I met you?”
You look great! The products reviews were very helpful and I appreciate your honesty and sense of humor. I had been wondering about Jones road…glad I saw your review first.
I'm older than you and I'm pretty hooked on bare minerals every thing and only Mary Kay slate eyeliner and their eye primer. But I really like your choices ..pretty 😊
I love the curls! Your hair is cute straight too but always nice to have a look that is a little extra occasionally. I put the beach wave flat iron in my Amazon cart. My hair is so much like yours!
I highly recommend No 7 Protect and Perfect. Just the right amount of coverage and NO GLOW. It does have an spf but I don't rely on that alone for sun protection. I'm pretty fair and go between cool vanilla and calico. The No 7 Lift & Luminate is also a great foundation.
Thanks for your honest reviews. I love the beachy waves. I think its fun to play with makeup and hairstyles and switch em up based on your mood for the day.
Ps. Thank you for your honesty re: the “Miracle balm”. I had seen other similar reviews and it saved me from wasting my money! I don’t like makeup I can feel. And I certainly don’t like sticky, tacky stuff!
I’m 72 and l also have had to find different makeup. I like the Maybelline concealer and the Age rewind eraser. Love the sponge. And it doesn’t feel greasy or come off on your blouses.
I agree with everyone else… what’s better than someone else trying it out for you?! 😊 thank you, Angela! I’ll have to try some of these out. I have hard to cover dark spots… and under eye circles that just don’t let up ! Not so many wrinkles yet but in my mid sixties, I know it’s coming 😢
OMG TFF. I agree 100% about Jones Road miracle balm! My hair was literally stuck on my face too! Mine came off pretty easily but very uncomfortable and I LOVE Bobbi Brown and I really wanted to love this product but I had to gift it! Her mascara by Jones Road beauty on the other hand is amazing!
Thanks for the tips, Angela. Love the gray eyeliner, beachy curls (would be a lovely, out-to-dinner look)., but those concealers settle into my lines. Try Fiera brand - fabulous! Non-settling! Grey eyeliner really suits you. And so do the beachy waves! Thanks for trying out all those new products and I have been very curious about City lips. To buy from Australia costs about AU$100 plus so it’s good to get an honest review.
Great video Angela! Thanks for the tips and sharing your thoughts on the makeup products! Love the mascara tip! And your hair looks great both ways! ❤❤
I agree with the Ilia tint serum. I started using it in January and love it. Easy application with the eye dropper type end. Dries very smoothly and looks great all day. I put it on about 15 min. after my face cream.
I love the beachy waves style! I follow Justin Hickox as well - seeing how well the curling iron worked for you I really need to try again ( my first time was a disaster and I put the iron back in the box and in a drawer!). The Jones Road clip was hilarious - you feel the same way as Kimberly at "Pretty Over Fifty" - she lives somewhere in The Villages too. Have a wonderful week.
I agree on the jones road, expensive waist of money. I'm in my 70s and still have oils on my face. Luv the Laura Geller makeup. It really is lite on the skin, doesn't run in the heat and has great coverage. Also use the Elf and Thrive.
For a skin tint… try Australian gold sunscreen skin tint! It’s a big bottle for 16 dollars. It makes your skin look blurred and never shiny. It’s a mineral tint so not greasy at all.
The green sweater really makes your eye pop green. Beautiful. M tip is from Nicole Johnson where she uses Wet and Wild Megalast Incognito concealer under her eyes and also as foundation. It works well for me with my skin allergies; no rash or breakouts.
I love your beach waves. I love your hair both ways. I think you can go with whatever mood you’re in. I have a very similar hair tool. l’Ange le duo grande. Best curling/flat iron I’ve ever had! 😊
Angela, how pretty you look, love the waves! Looks so youthful. Appreciate all your product investigating. You also made me laugh at your description of the products. Thanks for being genuine you.
I literally was watching the commercial for the 15th time before the algorithm gave me your channel, and it stopped me from placing an order for that Jones road stuff today! I was a little suspicious because everybody looks really glittery in the product. So glad you saved me some money.
Angela, I like your hair better straight, but the curls are nice for a change occasionally or for a dresser look. I ordered the tool you used. Love your channel! Thanks for the tips!
Angela, you look beautiful no matter how you style your hair. It looks cute naturally straight, and the beachy waves look great maybe for date night or other special occasion. Thank you for taking the time to test drive all these products. Blessings. XO
Kudos to you, Angela, for trying all these products and giving your honest opinion! I’ve been using SAIE products since they were first introduced, mainly because their “Clean” rating is excellent. I’ve used Mary Kay for over 30 years. Love the CC cream and mineral foundation for more natural look. I’ve also found Thrive in the last few years and love their eyeliners. I have hazel eyes and love to use the thrive purple eyeliner. I also use MK grey eyeliner and love the MK mascaras.
Hi Angela! Thanks for taking the hit for the rest of us!😊 I’m 57 with dry to very dry skin, and for years now, I’ve been using Paula’s Choice tinted sunscreen (blue tube). On casual days, I will use that with some concealer under my eyes, mascara, and tinted lip balm or lip gloss. If I want more coverage, then I bring in the Laura Geller Baked Balance and Brighten powder. I never feel like it makes my skin look cakey! It’s very buildable, and I enjoy her blushes and bronzers, too. Both Paula’s Choice and Laura Geller have great discounts available either through emails or Instagram. Oh my gosh 😂 I’m dying laughing with the hair stuck to the Jones Road balm 😂😂😂
Right? I cackled, and I never laugh at Internet stuff.
Hilarious about that Jones junk!
Jones Road works really good for me. But I have really dry facial skin. And I like to wear it a night.
It is so sticky! I hated it!
