    The biggest difference was not discussed. The Tempest can is not as heavy as the Champion can. Under oil press of 100 psi, the Tempest can will deform and may blow oil out from the seal. Ask me how I know! I lost all the oil in the engine in a couple of minutes. I tightened the Tempest filter by hand using the usual 3/4 turn after the seal mated and had the oil blow out. While cutting the can off the filter to examine it, the difference in the thickness of the two cans was very evident.
