I was 25 in 1992, in my first apartment in the big city (well, New Haven), and you literally showed the soundtrack my friends and I played and listened to during that time. Fantastic! I did see k.d. lang live on her Ingenue tour a few years back: goosebumps all night. 😎🎶

Great choices once again! So many I love...Sade, Annie, Kd, Harriet from the Sundays, Neneh, Sinead...it really was a great time for the females rising to the top. I gotta add Tori Amos' Little Earthquakes, an album derived from Kate Bush but so good it doesn't matter. I'd add REM--Automatic for the People, Suzanne Vega--99.9F, Tom Waits--Bone Machine, The Cure's Wish, Peter Gabriel--US, Nick Cave--Henry's Dream, Lush--Spooky, Bel Canto--Shimmering, Warm & Bright, and XTC's Nonsuch. I'll add Nine Inch Nails' Broken EP as well...short but stunning. 92 was sort of transitional in a way but took us deeper into the 90s for sure! Should have mentioned Prince's Diamonds in 91 and Love Symbol here also...2 pretty great funk rock records...Bring on 93!

I love that 10,000 Maniacs album! My favorite song by them is on it - “How You’ve Grown.”

I have to add one thing, Neneh Cherry, never been really a fan, never dislike any of her work, but one time I got the chance to see her live (in a festval in France in 1997) and she was amazing... we were not supposed to but we stayed her whole set, yep that good...

@@brunohebert1351 I would have loved to see Neneh. If you have not heard ‘Homebrew’ definitely check it out. It’s highly underrated.

I just discovered your channel through Robert Fithen. I love it. We don't listen to a lot of the same music, but your discussions make me want to listen to some new stuff with a new set of ears. So I'm now subscribed. Thank you!!

First, Hi from Robert Fithen because he sent me ;-)
Second, I got to say it but I love the t-shirt.
Third, what a great year 1992 was... (plus I turned 20 that year)
I had to look on Wikipedia to make sure, so many that are worth the top.
I mean Dirt by Alice in Chains and Core by Stone Temple Pilots being released the same month!
    Rage Against The Machine debut
    Peng! by Stereolab
    Going Blank Again by Ride
I remember the Ministry album, it was on a listening booth at the store and wow such a slap in the face bought it right away along with Dirty by Sonic Youth of whom I had never heard before but will hear a lot from in the years after (even saw them live in Paris in the late 90s)
    Copper Blue by Sugar
Broken EP and Fixed EP by NIN.. which were bundled together where I got them
    Nurse by Therapy?
    And that's 10...
But I'll add an extra one which you've probably never heard of Tostaky by Noir Desir, French rock band of that era.
Full of energy, not my favorite album from them but still very good for 1992
Honorable mention: Automatic for The People by REM, not a big fan but you gotta give credit for this album...
Amused to Beath by Roger Waters, even though I only discovered this one many years later

@@brunohebert1351 thank you for stopping by! Fithen is great! You mentioned a lot of great albums (some I’m not familiar with). I think the 90’s get beat up for crap music but if you really dive into it there’s a lot of amazing music.

Hey Craig...the only song that sounded good back in 1992 was Don't Speak by No Doubt.
