- It's time to reveal what has happened to our massive terrarium! As of the release of this video, the project has been ongoing for 26 months, and for 9 of those months, it has existed as a closed ecosystem without any interference from us. Since we last shared it with you, there have been a multitude of fascinating developments, all of which we documented throughout the year. In this video, we showcase the incredible growth and changes within the terrarium, where a spider coexists with fish, and ants are on the hunt for snails! Join us as we explore this unique ecosystem and witness the interactions between its inhabitants.
16:59 “marbled corydoras”?! Are you sure about that….
Clearly English is not their first language
@@ChadfromChad Corydoras is a latin word. Also those are Marbled or Opaline Gourami which can reach 6". Way too big.
@@stanglemeirwb sure, but I think the creator comes from a country where the Latin alphabet isn’t the first alphabet of choice. I can see how the mistake was made
Definitely some kind of gourami not cory. And they guys don't stay so small
Very cool.
It does feel like things are rushed here though. If you want a self sustaining ecosystem you have to let the plants and decomposers establish themselves, which can take months. Then add a few herbivores, and see how they do, then add a predator to keep the herbivores in check.
On this, the aquatic part of this ecosystem seems dangerously unbalanced. Too many predators (opaline/three-spot Gourmai? Which get to 15cm) and no way too feed them after a while, they will eat the shrimp and the daphnia, then all you’ll have is snails
Blue gourami
Еее, меня переводят на другие языки😅
