We thought our little dog had the muscle thing as well, started treating him for that but it unfortunately turned out to be a tumour :( Sometimes we couldn't see the lumps growing under his fur but we could feel them. Really not trying to be malicious and scare you, just trying to help and I hope it is just a grass seed! Living in dry parts of Australia our dog definitely had run ins with grass seeds all the time

Such a shame that you and your mom arrived on the one rainy weekend in NL. You’ll have to come back because there are some really fantastic places here. There is a stall close to the rijksmuseum that sells authentic Stroopwafels. He freshly makes them right in front of you and they are 3x as big as the ones you had on that tea cup.
