I can’t imagine this would be easy. I’m sure it was not comfortable for the patient as well. It almost looks like a choleostoma (probably not spelled correctly) or at least it was turning into one. No matter what, it’s a great video.
@@BaybertWallaceit’s an abnormal group of cells that form in the ear. They can be really gross looking. The way I recognized this one was that it was all encased in a rubbery type of mass. When it’s pulled out like one it has a lot of gross looking white stuff that comes out at the end. If you follow some of the Asian doctors ear was removal channels you see them. They can be caused by a lot of things. Once they’re found they have to be removed because they will eventually eat through to the bone and can cause brain fluid leakage if left untreated. To be honest I usually can’t watch them be removed they’re so gross but this one wasn’t that bad.
@@PRETTYASSP you’re welcome. I’m a self proclaimed “waxoholic” as someone once called us. I’ve been following these ear wax removal channels for 6 years. This one actually is not that bad. That brown stuff is mainly dried up skin mixed with wax. Choleostoma’s are really yucky. I don’t normally watch them be removed because it’s really gross. Especially if they’ve started eating through the ear canal. This one really didn’t. There’s another condition that’s really gross but cool to watch them removed. It’s called Keratosis Obturans. It’s an overgrowth of skin inside the ear canal. The skin should detach off the wall of the ear canal and by natural process just migrate out of the ear. In this case the skin doesn’t migrate it keeps growing and because it has nowhere to go it starts coiling up like layers of an onion. It gets mixed with the wax and hair and whatever else debris is in the ear. They get real gnarly looking too. But it’s not quite as nasty. To me, what is so interesting is all this is happening inside an area that’s 3 inches from front to back. Because we’re seeing it magnified, it looks a lot bigger than it really is. Some of these people can have this stuff in their ears for years and never know it. As long as there’s the tiniest hole for sound to travel to the ear drum, most people don’t even know. They usually find out when they have hearing loss. They go in and their ears are full of stuff. The only thing I can’t watch is when they find insects in their ears. I have to turn those. I can’t watch 🙈🙈
This is a patient who suffers from a disease called "cholesteatoma of the external auditory canal". Earwax and dead skin will grow quickly after the operation. He hasn't come for treatment for 2 years, so he has accumulated a lot.

This patient's eardrums is not bulging. He is a patient with cholesteatoma of the external auditory canal. This disease has not affected his middle ear. There is no infectious inflammation in his middle ear cavity, so there is no sign of eardrums bulging. This can be watched during cleaning.
Under normal circumstances, if the tympanic membrane is bulging, it usually indicates that the pressure in the middle ear cavity is greater than that in the external auditory canal. There are many issues to consider, 1: whether it is caused by congenital structural abnormalities or acquired trauma; 2: whether it is abnormal Eustachian tube function; 3: whether there is Exudate or transudate in the middle ear cavity that may increase the pressure in the middle ear cavity. 4: Whether there are inflammatory space-occupying lesions or tumors, etc. Sometimes we need to do other necessary examinations according to different situations.
I have psoriasis and during one horrible inflammation attack on the body my ears were sheading so much flakey skin daily. It looks to me like this patient has the same condition as I do. So much dead flakey skin inside the inner ear.

When I was in boot camp in 1994 and had to go 17 days without being able to put a Qtip in my ears to clean:( When I finally got some Qtips and twisted that thing in my ears it was borderline Orgasmic !!! I can't imagine what this person must have felt !!!
