Think of yourself as a teacher.
Have multiple teachers.
Choose a talkative teacher ( native if possible).
Don't translate.
Follow a simple pattern.
Don't jump around, change one or two words.
Get the big picture, don't analyse.
Natural pace.
Keep the content relatable.
Add natural emotion to your voice.

His method sounds good in theory, but as a 65-year-old language learner, I find it difficult to retain new sounds and tones without something written down in translation or transliteration. In the short example he used, I was easily confused, and I think it would’ve been much simpler to see the sentence in English to help my brain understand what I am saying in the new language
