If you go to Lectic bikes in Phoenix, they have a test course you can ride the bikes before you buy! Be sure to get the large seat and the extra comfort pkg with the shocks on the seat and wheels.! Also we got a pet trailer to carry groceries. We don’t have a pet currently.
Oh shoot, when did you leave Michigan? We just got back from Niles Michigan, we were there for two weeks. We will be at the Illinois spot Aug 29-sept 8th. 😉 Hope to see ya!!
We're still in Michigan and will probably be here for another 2 weeks. It sounds like we'll miss you in Illionois- we have to head down to NC to help out Gary's parents at the beginning of Sept and will be there for a wedding. Bummer! But I'm sure we'll cross paths again!
Ok so a few things. First off tell Gary he ain’t the only one who enjoys being in control of anything with an engine. I’ll keep it PG but every time I hear that Ram diesel engine start up and roar I get “excited”. Secondly what happens if someone wants it who lives in Alaska? 😜 Ok all jokes aside I hope you two find a buyer. I can only imagine the price that boat would go for here in Southern California where we have only a few lakes spread out over a wide distance. 💰💰💰 ✌🏽
I hear ya... I think Gary gets a "rise" too with his truck, though the boat holds it's own as well 😉 And it would be just a rough thing to *HAVE* to go to Alaska if need be -- the things we'd have to do to stay on the road, ha! Luckily, as of a few days ago, the boat has been sold and went back to where we purchased it - here in Michigan. There's a bazillion lakes around here to make that boat sing. We even got to ride it out on the north side of Drummond Island. It honestly made both of us question selling it! Ah, so many areas to explore, so little time!
I'm trying to get my wife onboard with a truck camper and boat to tow and fish everywhere. I love our travel trailer, but we want recliners. I want to not rent a boat at the lake we travel to even though it's probably cheaper. I'm not a fan of being on someone else's timeline for renting/fishing. Good luck with the sale or your boat!
I completely get you! That's why we bought our truck camper in the first place - we didn't want to deal with 2 vehicles every time we wanted to camp and fish at the same time. Prior to this we just tent camped, but it's nice to have the comforts of a good bed! You might just have to get her into one of these truck campers to see - it's a bit eye opening - both the amount of space and the cost of these things!
Interesting scenery, sorry your ebike trip was a bust, I thought you wanted foldable bikes so you wouldn't worry about them getting stolen of a rack, more secure in the truck at night....jus say'in. Would you PLEASE sell that boat!!! Be safe and have fun!!
That makes a lot of sense having the bikes foldable to fit in the back of the truck. But MAN, there are some really fun ones out there that aren't foldable. We will see... :)
Good luck in selling your boat. Thank you for sharing the beautiful scenery.
Thank you! And it's easy to find such beautiful places in Michigan!
If your ever near the coast of Alabama come check out Dauphin Island it has a campground and that small town feel
That sounds fantastic! It's been on my list but glad to hear from someone else that it's worth heading out to see!

Wow, I didn't know that - that's really cool! A pet trailer is a great slides to haul stuff- love it!

We just road by this lake yesterday. We're up in Mackinaw for a few weeks!
It's either tons of trees or beautiful lakes here, it's just awful, right? 😄 What's your favorite thing so far about Mackinaw City?

Very nice! Do you guys carry bear spray on those hikes in the woods?
Not here. Black bears aren't too prevalent where we were. And Gary's just as scary as a black bear, ha!
