Thanks for all your support for the new series! We saw your feedback regarding how the perspectives flip back-and-forth too rapidly during the gameplay, and will tone it down in future episodes! This episode was already finished before Episode 1 was released!
Glad this issue is being addressed, because yeah, it got annoying real quick in Episode 1. It'd be much better if both players' facecams but only Cimo's perspective was displayed constantly.
I mean, I like seeing both hands tbh. What if you did something like a hand-cam using a rotoscoping/masking effect on his capture? Feather the edges of the mask so it blends into your capture a little cleaner? Best of both worlds? Love this new series btw.
Rarran had a great start, then fumbled a lot in between but, just in general, he did good. That's something to be proud of, so congrats for giving this Draft a chance, you evolved so much. In general, this series is a good way of teaching new players and returnees, while still having a high level for veterans. PS: Saying "f-ck this guy" to arguably one of the best and strongest cards ever in GOAT Format is to be laughed at. I won't scroll through the comments but you expect some beef from it.
Rarran did great, and people bag on him for BLS but the other picks when he had BLS were equally as good, both snatch and graceful are never dead and let’s be honest BLS would’ve ended up dead in hand with no light in grave. Now, passing on Torrential on the other hand…
@@charlesf.7947 ye it was funny skipping on bls but understandable considering the choices. i facepalmed when he faded torrential for whatever it was he took instead lol

I think that, at least with non Yugioh players, explaining cards like Metamorphosis in advance is a good idea. That way they aren't so uncertain over Fiend Skull Dragon and Dark Balter type cards.
Rarran is unofficially the wild card. I love seeing his perspectives of the game coming from a Hearthstone background, and his hot takes like saying “fuck this guy” about BLS with his flippant delivery sends me flying. I don’t care who wins, I just know this will be a fun match up to watch
I'm actually really happy to see Rarran on this series, I know that this is part promo for his channel & goat format is a different world of Yu-Gi-Oh but after seeing him be so heavily against modern Yu-Gi-Oh the fact he said yes & seemed to actually be enjoying himself while playing it makes me happy. :)
I like seeing things like this. As you don't have to be the best player to just be good at drafting. It's also just a fun way to get new players interested in trying out the game even if it's not the modern version of the game.
I love how rarran started by dunkin on the game on its very real issues, and the community responded by helping him and including him in, that he slowly became one of us.
to be fair, the community was not extremely helpful until he invested hours into learning modern yugioh. Am pretty sure he would have had fun from the start playing old school drafts though.
A little suggestion, do a short introduction of the guest of the video. It true that their name is on the video’s name but it helps to know who you are dueling
@@CD-zi6rb Tbf, I don't like him either. He's acting like in a baby show (aka overacting) while also pretending he's smart, which is quite annoying. He doesn't even know what "Hot take" means (A take that would put you like the Tangled meme) or how to be sarcastic.

I love this series but what I love about this video is that you got a non Yugioh player to participate. Reminds me of teaching friends how to play when I was younger. Great vid!
This was epic. Sad to see Rarran's deck having almost no outs to the wall of revealing light. But he couldn't have known noblemen wouldn't work so its understandable
It looks like Alex threw game 2 for content. Wall pay 1000 on attack declaration would have caused Rarran to have more lifepoints and megamorph would cut darkfire dragon down to 750 instead of boosting it to 3000.
Watching a non Yugioh player's though process while drafting was kind of fascinating. I hope I don't sound mean by saying that cause I'm really not judging him and I think he made overall very solid decisions for someone unfamiliar with the cards beforehand it's just interesting to see him evaluate the cards on the fly.
I like this idea, it's a lower ceiling format which is good for rarran as he's still semi new, by the end of the series he'll be one of us! Rarran, you may have had hate but the points you made actually made sense, I think that's why you've been embraced more by the community than act man, and cimooo gets to do a capitalism so everyone wins 😅
I think my only thing i wanted ranran to do differently was take dark dust spirit, torrential tribute(these could turn the tempo back in his favor in an undesirable position) and ha des(is great for keeping pressure). Other than that i have no complaints i feel like he did a good job of not falling for some of the bait cards in here and determining the strongest card choice. If i we're to grade his card choice in the draft id give him a 90% A. All in all really proud of ranran for his choices looking forward to seeing more of him in the yugisphere
Man, watching Rarran's progress with learning the game reminds me of when i was a kid learning the game. He's doing well. Of course older formats are better for learning the game because of the simpler card design.
I love the new series! This reminds me of trying to play arena style in Shadowverse and failing miserably, lol. I wish MD could program this as a game feature
I understand why the modern game is the way that it is right now, but there's something about early yugioh where everything is much more generic that makes the incidental synergies more fun to discover. I think there's definitely a version of the game that uses tribal synergy as well as generic good stuff cards.
