Old Footage of Performer Sightseeing on Streets of Berlin With His Wife.
This is one of the very few unofficial films from East Berlin. Most existing shootings before the German reunification are propaganda films from the government of the time (Erich Honecker) .
In 1987/88 I was booked during 4 months as a performer (juggler) in East-Berlin at the famous music-hall of East-Germany and USSR, the "Friedrichstadt-Palast". It was forbidden to photograph or to film in East-Berlin but me as a "west-performer" I had some "liberties". I owned a good video camera for that time and I filmed around in East-Berlin.

I was able to visit about this time period..so interesting...and kind of eerie.

I was first time in both sides 1988 ,second time in 1989 and last time in 2004 and could drive car under brandenburg gate .Next year in 2025 I plan go with my wife and children.Best regards from Breslau (Wroclaw)
