Point to ponder…both of these guys are FAR more eloquent in describing their adventure in English (as non-native speakers) than 90% of American big-mountain skiers are…”Bro…like…the descent was…like…f’in hard and scary!”
I’ve done some snowboarding in the Alps and the Rockies in Canada, and the Alps are way steeper. I guess that’s why people from north America are less cautious about the dangers.
In my humble estimation, the most inspiring aspect of Messner's career was not his solo summit of Everest, or summiting w/out supplemental O's, or surviving Nanga Parbat and the pain that entailed, but having persevered and survived to tell his story to the generations that follow. In a word--wisdom. And life is so very rich and rewarding on many levels, especially as we mature and our peripheral vision expands to absorb what we've achieved. What remains unachieved, wisdom the alchemist coverts to a sweetness called enough

Very nice video. That’s great to hear the relation you have with feelings and calculations. You need to be 100% rationals and in the same time you have to « feel it » and there’s nothing that can explains it. Respect to have shown in so well here!
I have no interesting in skiing having tried it a few times. However, it is very cool to me that people challenge themselves like this. The video was well done.
Finally, I will have a chance to move to the mountains in a month time. It is just hard to do any sort of expeditions with a full-time job. You take a vacation few month down the road and you can not really think if you really feel like going or not when the time comes... I failed in many expedition attempts just because I was not feeling it (nothing similar to this one of course).
Awesome. This face is massive! Is this the line that is 'usually' climbed? Great adventure, and straight to the point wrt risk management in the mountains.
@@letoatreides5165 What they do is 5.x(bc thats all there is), but yeah this was way over 50. The difference between 50 and 60 is immense though, since a 40 degree slope is very easy but a 50 degree one is a completely different sport.
really don't know anyomore when the sentence "exit from the comfort zone" pass the line between something new and challenging not only for the main characters of the story and narcisism.
I mean, repect but I don't see the fun of ski if it's jumping slowly on a very steep slope. Just climb and go down normally. OK it can be a bit faster on some legs. Images are not so great in the end. I don't like it.
10:38 "She believes in me, but of course sometimes she's a bit afraid when Kilian is picking me up." Wise woman.
"We have to think that I'm ready even in the worst condition, not in the good ones." Genius! Put yourself in the worst situation'

I really hoped people ll appreciate as we didn’t want to do another redbull like skiing movie. Thanks for your words!

Bravo 🤘
Somehow making the climb up the easy part 😮
Eres increíble!
Good job 🥰🥰
An incredible travel
NZ crew checking in
Se les ve disfrutar en la bajada skiando 😂😂😂😂
Skiing on a 50 degree slope is insane! 🤯
Must have been more than that in this project no? (It obviously depends on the terrain too) 50° is 5.x, what Kilian and David do is more extreme still
@@letoatreides5165 I can’t imagine! Just crazy!

Dificil pensar en alguien que haya hecho más daño al medio ambiente que este personaje
