  • Piaggio Medley 125 owner review. One Year Later
    This video was shot in late July 2023 when it was hot and sunny, but I've been very busy doing other things and only just got around to editing it.
    I hope you enjoy

    Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the little 125 Medley. Very interesting, always thought I’d never think about owning a scoot’ but, with a recent foot injury, advancing years and high cost of motoring, I think they make more sense than ever. Will always ( hopefully!) hang on to my Moto Guzzi and Triumph Bonnie, but there will be days approaching all too soon for the simple step-thru approach…. How is the finish and build quality holding up? Quite like the luggage space available and belt drive too. Infact, not much to dislike.

      Build quality is as good as all major brands and had no problems with the little scoot so far.

    Thanks for this. I live in Rhodes and have been puttering along on my 50cc scooter. A danger to traffic and myself! So I was looking for a 125 and looked at Symphony, Honda etc and decided on this one. At the moment it's on its way from Italy but I'm looking forward to riding it and with that extra power get to explore the island a bit more. You've definitely enthused me about the machine. One question. You say the seat is on the firmer side of spongey. Any tricks to make it spongier? Thanks.

      Hi glad you liked the video and happy to hear it made you want to buy one 👍
      I think you’ll enjoy riding it very much, as for ways to make the seat more spongy I don’t have any tricks for that but I’m sure it will soften with use.
      Ride safe 👍

      I'm getting my 150S next week and I'm so excited about it.
      Regarding the seat, I noticed that my Beverly 350 ones is a bit softer.
      I believe they made it that way on the Medley so in order to gain some room under seat and to lower the seat height they had to reduce the thickness of the foam but it has to be more firm.
      I also noticed the same aspect on the Sym 200, the seat sponge is thin but more firm.

    Great to see a new vid from you. Going from the greenery evident in the footage you have held it back a bit. I must ask, I have a later model (euro 5 engine) and it is a little sticky around the 40 mph mark. Perhaps between 36-42. It feels like a flat spot on a tyre, which is at is worst around 40 mph. Nothing massive, but noticeable regardless. Is this true of your bike?

      Hi thanks for your message and for watching the video, yes I definitely held back on posting the video 😂 been busy on diy projects. I can’t say that I’ve noticed any hesitation of the engine at any speed on mine, just the normal lack of power on steep hills.
      Ride safe 👍

    Thinking of getting this scoot .
    Looks like it will sit between 50 /60 mph without much effort.
    It makes decent bhp and torque .
    Would you agree🤔👍

    • @BikeMates
      @BikeMates  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi thanks for your comment and for watching my video, yes this scooter will sit at 50/60 mph without any problems. It’s also quite economical and has enough torque and the horsepower is as high as is allowed for a 125 which is one of the reasons I bought one.
      Not sure what you would use yours for but I use mine for pleasure rides mainly and it’s great for long distances.
      Hope this helps and ride safe 👍

      Hello, I took delivery of one two weeks ago. Absolutely fantastic! As you imagine, it will easily tootle along between 50mph and 60mph. Also very comfortable and as Sparky (?) says, the brakes are incredibly good.
      P.S. My local Piaggio dealer charges £125 for the first (600 mile) service.

    Hello, I'm doubting between the medley s 125 from 2024 or the honda sh125 from 2024. Why would one be better than the other? Thanks in advance.

    • @BikeMates
      @BikeMates  13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@ChrischrosBelgium hi 👋, it all depends on the spec that you want I suppose. The Piaggio has much the same as the Honda other than the Honda has keyless ignition which I’m not a fan of so personally for me it would be the Medley but if you like the idea of keyless then choose the Honda. As for running costs and reliability I would say it’s even.
      I prefer the look of the Medley but again it’s a matter of personal preference.
      Hope this helps.
      Ride safe whatever you choose 👍

      @@BikeMates well, I am especially concerned about the resale price. And reliability. I also don't like keyless and I prefer the look of the Medley s too. I really don't know what to choose.
