Personally I enjoyed just about all of em except for Thor, Songbird and Penence (and I haven't played this game yet so I don't know what the fuck's going on with Fury) but to each their own I guess
Meh, their not all bad. Carnage's was pretty cool. Deadpool, I feel like they could've done something like his X-force costume instead, but at least they didn't do his classic costume. Venom's wasn't that bad, either, and Spider-Man's looks kind of cool (in my opinion)
Marvel Nemesis was fucking trash. The fights were so sporadic and sloppy, the powers felt like they had barely any effect or did TOO much damage, the ring out mechanic was absolutely ridiculous when you had characters who could fly and or swing, the Imperfect characters were super generic, etc. That game was shit.

Gambits alternative costume is the only badass one. This game is so poor compared to the first game. I mean you could play as Victor Von Doom, Blade, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, Eleketra and many more.
mua2 needs a larger roster...i mean...penance? we need kickass heroes like ghost rider, doom, sabretooth...BUT....this game is old anyway and decent to play (prob more exciting when it was originally releases)...hope we get an exciting mua3 that offers a better/larger roster!!

That's what it was supposed to be about, what got rushed was the civil war itself, we got thrown into the crappy nanite bullshit. What would've been nice is if during the Civil War arc we see little hints of HYDRA operating the in the shadows. Then towards the end of the Civil War plot we see that the Super Human Registration act was all a scheme to try and control the world's super humans to help HYDRA take control of the world.

I absolutely love this game and thought that Vicarious Visions did a great job. I didn't mind that each character only had one suit as Vicarious Visions explained that they had a choice between either giving them multiple suits or making the characters look as good as possible and they went with the latter, which I can respect. When you look at the character models and their details, the levels, assets, etc between the first and second part there's no contest, they look ridiculously better and extremely more detailed in the second part.
What happened to having like 4 skins for every character in the first one not only that each alternate skin for each character had unique upgrade abilities. In this one this just said fuck that and gave you shitty costumes that doesn't really do anything

Honestly, in terms of everything else, MUA2 improved upon MUA1. From the level design, to the cutscenes, and how it combines two different Marvel stories but it somehow works. The only things that keeps it from being a perfect sequel (Or the best one) are the lack of extra costumes, the special character interactions like in the 1st game, and the cheats disabling your safe file.
Nevan Dempsey because this game takes place during the civil war storyline. This venom isn't Eddie brock which explains why his alt costume is classic venom.

Were there several versions of Ultimate Alliance 2? Because I had a copy for the PS2, and there weren't nearly this many characters (plus, there weren't even alternate costumes).
Back when it first came out there were a heap of "console exclusive" characters you wouldn't have seen on PS2. A few of them were bundled into this release, but not all.
Carnage, Cable Black Panther, etc were all downloadable for about a week or two before the developer decided to drop the license and then the game was basically unplayable between people with different DLC packs
Gods, I remember the limited time DLC, it went away, but you could still "download" it off the marketplace for free. Which I did, the characters didn't show up obviously, BUT if you plugged in the cheat to unlock all characters, the DLC characters showed up, and you could select them and play for about a minute or two before the game crashed.
Yeah they had a DLC pack, they removed it pretty quickly after it was released. The only way to get it now is if you happen to locate a Download code for MUA2 on PS4, XONE or Steam, those versions include the DLC

Their are definitely some things this game did better than the first one, like the graphics and the combat, but then their are things that the first game does better, like the roster, and the amount of powers and costumes it had for each character

It forced you into a look based on the stats/play style you want. MUA 2 did it best with giving you a unique costume w/out being tied to stats.
STM the first one had multiple costumes and they all had different buffs, the second one had alternate skins and they really were just for aesthetic and I can’t say much for 3 although from how you described it the first 2 handled costumes better.

They should add Wasp to the roster in Ultimate Alliance 3. Use the whole roster from the first game, keep Songbird from the second, add Wasp and maybe add Groot as an hidden unlockable since every seems to love him so much.

I miss this game, my one specific team was always Spider-Man, Deadpool, Wolverine, And Iron Man (if any change it was, Cable, Carnage, Thor, Captain America, Luke Cage, or Green Goblin) only specific favorites
Oh, I remember this game. I tried to make the fantastic four and the game called me a loser. 😂
I personally like this game over the first. They might have cut it short on costumes but imo it more than makes up for it in gameplay
Let's hope that Ultimate Alliance 3 will have more costumes. It already looks like it has more characters.
But is this is a physical copy or digital only? I don't like that digital only crap. I like actually owning a game.

this game was disappointing compared to previous, that's why it didn't sell well and in the long term is price for disc went up but now it's online so price went down again

They should add Wasp to the roster in Ultimate Alliance 3. Use the whole roster from the first game, keep Songbird from the second, add Wasp and maybe add Groot as an hidden unlockable since every seems to love him so much.

They delisted it a few months ago. I believe you can still get a download code from gamestop.com though.
Deadpools costume is just ultimate universe deadpool actually alot of the costumes are just ultimate universe versions of the characters.

One of the gripes I have with this game is to at the very least give Deadpool's alternate costume it's mask back.

They weren't in the original. They were added as DLC.

Does anyone remember playing the promo turn based game they had for this title on PC? I didn't have a nee gen console at the time so that is what I played until they shut it down.
