Love this!!! My favorite were the coasters. I have been saving a ton of pages of old Wonder Books from the 1940s and 50's and now I know what to do with the adorable images. :)
These are really creative ways to preserve something from books that are past their prime, pulled from circulation in the classroom- giving them another life, in a way. I'm the first one to donate to our little libraries in the community and of course sharing with educators or other charities that can use the books. No one wants books in landfills. In my years teaching- and my own experience creating very special, ie, construction paper birthday crowns for littles- they would feel like Max from Where the Wild Things Are, wearing that adorable crown!! :) If I had one teeny suggestion because everything was great. After assembling the crowns, I might take some wide ribbon or just strips along the long edge of 11×17 construction paper to create a strip just to line the inner band. We only stapled in a couple places, but the backs of staples can tangled in hair, you get it. Aside from that, I would have loved to receive a set of coasters or that candle idea! Love it, can't wait to see more of your ideas.
Great ideas ! Really appreciate, especially because Christmas is next week and we are doing a lot of diy gifts, so these were really handy! Thank you! Blessings!
Gosh , love your creative ideas , especially the earrings , so amazing , loved it !!! I love making quiling earrings , will give this a try next time .
Wonderful looking coasters! I have seen book cover coasters that have the majority of a book cover on the coaster. Can you tell me how you would go about getting the image if you did that, how to resize it, and what is the best paper to make it stand out brightly on your coaster project? Thanks, I have the decoupage part down, it’s just figuring out how to get the image for the coaster! Thanks!!
Hi! Thank you!! I resize EVERYTHING on canva! It's a very easy to use website .. you can easily upload your cover image and print from your at home computer! I have a laser printer so I would use laser computer paper! Also def get the mod podge HARD COAT for the coasters. I learned that tip after making this video! Good luck and thank you for watching!!!
A: ,Buy a Cricut B: Buy a laminator. Half arsedly throw together some ideas and smile pretty for the camera! Sorry, but you could at least have made an effort to make your alternative suggestions for folk without equipment, the book marks needed backs on to make stiffer and the crown too, which you clumsily stapled together without any decorative bits...D for effort! 😕
Thank you so very much! Very cool
Love the candle holder!

No pictures in my books. Just words.I do have old issues of Victoria magazine. Maybe I could use them this way.
When I make earrings out of books, I like to laminate the page before I cut out the earrings…. To make them MUCH stronger!
ooooooo that's a GREAT IDEA! I am trying this! thank you for that tip!! And thank you for watching 😃
Well but what do you do with books without pictures (novels)?
Ha! Great question. Probably a whole lot of book marks!!! Could even cut them up and make a giant paper chain for a party!!!
Book paper folding! It's great fun and easy to do
Can you make a video putting lights in balloons
sure! I'll put this in my notes! Thanks for the suggestion =)
