Enjoyed your channel last year and know I will this year also Just a suggestion why not take some of the insulation ans put it at the top and fill in any spaces in the logs with it It will cut down on the bugs and make it more comfortable for yourself All the best Take care
Yes, that Cabin Door worries me you leaving it open, especially, you being there alone. Once Ole Brutus steps in, it'll be hard to get him out, I'd think. You cooking meals would attract him around maybe. Do be careful.
Such a stunningly beautiful location 😍 you have made the cabin look so cosy already, enjoy the ambience of the wild life and 10.30pm dappled sunshine ❤
Wow, love the work done to the Cabin, Awesome ! Those rafter's are heavy duty & sweet ! They certainly done some upgrading for real ! By the time you spend the Summer there & have to depend on yourself without Jack/Hubby, you'll definately learn a few "trick's of the trade's ", but you can do it ! LOL, Leaving that Cabin Door open, just might invite your favor friend inside - BRUTUS ! Be careful ! Enjoy the view from the table & enjoy the Lake & Wildlife. It will be so peaceful there I'm sure. Oh the Cabin looks really good, I'm glad for you & Jack. So glad you uploaded this video, I'd missed you & Jacks videos.
Thank you! It's been wonderful transforming the place into something closer to a home. And yes, you're right, I am learning to do all those things that I took for granted that Jack would take care of. :)
I am thrilled by all, of this. I hope that I can get there, for a visit and to even help out some in the future. Oh yeah I would bring photo and video gear.
Good work woman! Loved the critter footage and can't believe how big Chewy got. So how did the fancy outhouse hold up over winter? Oh..... and sorry about the dock. Be safe and put up your "bear bells" too.
Outhouse did well although I just learned that Billy shoveled the snow off because the roof was bending! I think we'll have to add a little more roof support next summer!
Great to catch up with what's been happening since last summer....looking at all that greenery and water while scorching here in 109 degrees --- YOU GOT IT GOOD up there! Just wondering.....Is it too much of a pain to remove the battery from the Beast over the winter??

Believe me...I don't leave it open at night!

There's nothing quite like a lake in the wilderness! Every time I look out my windows I see beauty and magic!

I remember you from last year. Hi from Colorado Springs 😀
Hi! :)
I am thrilled by all, of this. I hope that I can get there, for a visit and to even help out some in the future. Oh yeah I would bring photo and video gear.

The cabin looks so inviting you have really dress it up. I bet Jack is wishing he was there as much as you do. Be careful and see ya next time.
It's still pretty rough but already feels like home!

I'm so glad to be missing that heat down there! You be careful when you're working around your property!
Good job. Lots of hard work. Maybe you can facetime with Pookey.
We have done that a couple of times! :)
Whoops -- I guess that would be "The Monster." "Beast" is what's in your trail cam.....
Loved the update, so looking forward to the wildlife, great start !!
How did the beautiful outhouse survive?
The out house did well but still strained under the tremendous weight of the snow last winter; I think we'll have to beef it up a bit next summer!
Lovely, maybe some curtains to keep the sun out of your bed area???
Yup! i found a lovely piece of material at a thrift store today and will start working on that! :)
hi, if you have wood, built a small shed and put the stuff out of cabin in it, and fix your wall with tongue and grove and floor in laminate.
I was hoping a mouse didn’t jump on you
Lol!
Was that a frog “ribbit” I heard while the muskrat was swimming?
Yup! They don't say much but they do pipe up with a few random ribbits from time to time!
hi, love you show, why are you so late going to lake cabin ,this summer
I had to delay my departure because my kitty Pooki had an infection.
