That couple that told you no on Jordan box own a card shop near Chicago. I do card shows all the time and have to deal with them. They are some pain in the rears!
Neither one of them seem to have any communications skills. Meant for each other haha. Like you can say no thank you nicely. And also are you there to even sell your cards. Picker just asked if he can make an offer to the guy and he was like no? Like what is it for decoration?
I just don't understand flat out refusing to sell a whole box. Set the price however high you want, but pushing a potential customer away immediately makes no sense to me.
I watch all your videos. Was surprised you came to Amish country. I have lots of relatives living in shipshewana. Quite a few Amish. Keep the videos coming I learn a lot from you. I’ve definitely learned to look up comps instead of just buying it because it looks like it would sell. It’s saved me from many mistakes
Girl in the bengals jacket came off super rude. Definitely not the way to talk to people OFFERING to buy your product. A simple, no thank you and a counter offer would’ve done just fine. Definitely would never purchase anything from that booth.
To be fair he did lowball with a $100 offer. Not sure if he meant too (I’m assuming not) but $100 for what looks to be close to 300-400 Jordan’s cards is a very low offer. Some people get offended at offers like that.
Sweet haul John.. That's really cool to see most of these dealers willing to make deals.. You definitely will make out good on the boxes you acquired.. Take care always..👍💕🔥⚾🤙
I have a huge Sports card, magic the gathering, Funko Pop and diecast collection that I will be having a garage sale with soon. A ton of very rare stuff. I live in Cincinnati
Watching you make those deals is fascinating - I don’t know a thing about modern cards - I only like sports cards from the 1960s/1970s but watching you make those buys is crazy fun.
Good haul. I like the way you bargain, no tricks no smooth talking, just what you want to pay and what the dealer wants to give. Those PSA 9's are a good bargain, regular people who collect cards will buy those, you just may have to sell them slowly though. PSA was closed down last year because of too many cards they had to grade and sent back everyone's cards as 9's, hardly any 10's. There are a ton of dealers that will unload their PSA 9's in bulk for cheap. Small time collectors will always buy them at market value.
You should look into coming to Gordyville USA in Gifford IL super good prices nice people usually 300-700 booths open every second weekend of every month.
Morning. Just bought a whole lot of trading cards from a coworker. All this stuff is bout 30 yrs old. Paid bout $80 for approx 70 boxes of all types of cards - baseball n basketball n football n hockey. Also bought bout 12 ball caps n 12 metal tin posters n bout 20 or so hot wheels for another $70
I sure wish I knew more about cards ! I have at least 3 small boxes of cards from when my kids were young. 80's- early 90's probably some value but have no knowledge on them
1986 Fleer Basketbal rookies or sticker has good value Jordan , Magic , Bird , Barkley. Depending on condition a Jordan card can bring $500 or more. That time period 80's,90's cards , known Rookies will have $10 or more in value. If more 90's could be a bust on most the card, manufactors flooded the market, but some known rookies might have better value. Check ebay on 10 name familiar to you of cards and you can tell if highly value..goodluck.
More than likely not worth much unless they happen to be 86-88 fleer basketball. Everything else in those years were mass produced and what is known as junk wax..
I found around 3,000 baseball cards at my grandson apartment they evicted somebody and they just set all the cards in tote boxes in dumpster I was taking out trash and said what is that and I was shocked all the cards had sleeves on them and were just sitting there I hollered for my husband get over here we are getting those cards out. Well I went thru them but know nothing about cards I guess I will put in my yard sale. My brother owned a Mickey mantle card from the 60s but it got burned up in house fire in the 80 s. Great videos
Kills me how upset sellers get when you make them an offer. On top of that they tell you they aren’t selling the box. Crazy bad salesmanship to not even provide a price.
Spencer, you are right on. Poor Salesmanship, or lack there of. You get an offer to clear out a box and you reject it? The least you can do is counter-offer and really, do you think you are actually going to sell the whole box during the entire show (yes, you can wait for future sales, but always be open to offers)? You can really see the difference with the experienced and the inexperienced dealers. John, stay well and all the best to the family!
I've learned that when I see a lot of good thing in one container I just buy the whole container and wait till I get home to see what other gems I might hVe scored.
Hi john i love the videos i want to ask with your sports cards do you put all the diffrent cards and diffrent players into their teams lfor example john tavares mitch marriner etc
I have never been into cards but enjoy the videos so maybe it might be a stupid question: why would someone NOT sell a whole of cards they brought to a card show?!?!? I mean if the price is right…. Am I missing something?
Love your videos John you have a good eye I would have walked away on the girl who said no to your offer let me ask my partner then he said no their loss.

Its CP, ppl c'mon man...j/k too bad u couldnt get it, a whole box of Jordans, man oh man the WN chat would of went crazy...🤣🤣
hey great video, i do a lot of buying/selling/trading of sports cards myself and i just wanted to comment that i really dont think you overpaid at all with that $375 box. From just the small amount of cards you skimmed through it seems they seem like solid cards that would average around $4/card assuming the whole box has similar cards. i am guessing there is at least 200 cards in that box which would get you $800 for a total gross profit of $425. not too shabby!
@@PIP-zf9yb you mean the $2 box that he basically paid $0.50 a card on? lol.......yeah he did well on that one too, even if he sells each for $1 a piece he would double his money and i guarantee he can average better than $1/card
@@slugger82685 if he sells them all in person he may do ok. Not on any platform where you pay fees and shipping he won't. That was the worst buy of it all.

Unless they know the buyer and know they won't pay much. I agree don't make much sense
@IYG OUTLAW I don’t see you doing this either and before you say anything yes I don’t do it either
Not to mention, they were miserable
Thanks for stopping by and making a deal on both of my boxes! Was a pleasure to meet you and hopefully you make some $ from them!
Hope you make a bunch on them!! Looks like there were some dealers that actually wanted to sell their cards!! Glad you got some good deals!

Great pick ups! Enjoyed the video. I look forward to maybe picking some up on Whatnot.

Making them deals🔥🔥
It's funny that a card show is in an Amish community. My parents have been down there.
I’m loving more of the card show stuff. It’s really interesting to see how card dealers deal with the haggling. Great stuff!
I swear this is why I will never go to a card show people like them who get mad for offering $100 thinking it worth more
Will you post these for sale anywhere??
Interested in Jrod a ja’marr
Cincinnati Picker were due for a packaging video
You’re the best!
3rd year card for trout, his rookie is 2011 update
U def did pretty well with everything. U can def make a decent profit off everything
Will u do some more videos on eBay selling what u sold ready to ship
Great video John I find the cards really interesting as we obviously don’t have these in the uk 👍😊
Great video, hope you do more card videos soon.,
Good video I see was a lot of good dealers up there minus one
Looks like you got a lot of good cards
Hi John, questions. When you post items on eBay do you also cross post them like on market place?
Why did you removed the previous Card show vlogs?
I thought the vendors were there to sell or am I wrong ????

The top loader protectors by themselves add up. Trading card supplies aren’t cheap
Top loaders on ebay you can by a 100 for about $25 more or less.
Those $2 cards looked good
what happened to the sports card convention video where you showed the haul at the beach or something.
The Jordan box was weird. Why have it on display not to sell it lol.
