As the final installment of this Halsey discography journey is coming to a close, man did we go out with a bang!
"Manic" being her most recent release for 2020, I would say this was her most experimental and meaningful project to date. All different vibes from Country to Rock to Punk and even some Hip-Hop sprinkled in as well. Don't get me started on those transitions. All in all, now that I've heard all the albums, definitely excited to see what the next moves going forward in her career will be coming off the heels of this album.
    Standout Tracks:
    Graveyard
    You should be sad
    I HATE EVERYBODY
    3am
    Without Me

btw More is about her struggle with endometriosis and reproductive health. She's had multiple miscarriages over the years. So More is about her desire to have a child and her struggles with doing so---the production and lyrics are some of the most beautiful I've ever heard from her. Truly an incredible track.

5 droplets that you MUST react to
1- Nightmare (with the music video)
2- Be Kind *her lastest single*
    3 - 11 Minutes ft yungblud
4 - Experiment On Me (from the Birds of Prey Soundtrack)
5 - Die for Me (from Post's album that is a tie to manic's Without Me)
also Him&I is controversial bc of her & G-easy bad relationship but its shows how "manic" she is

@@mohibullahawan3001 IKR! And now I can't decide, so for me they'll both be N1 for different reasons. For introspection, I definitely gravitate towards Manic, the cognitions she tapped into are unrivaled, but Folklore has so many lyrically and musically beautiful melodies and swells. No need to pin them up against each other. They're both beautiful for different reasons

'More' she talks about wanting to build a family, before the pandemic she said she was going to take a break for her personal life, and you can hear in the song the lullaby sound and at the final minutes a sensation of hearing from the womb

If anyone is interested here is the translation of "Suga's Interlude" lyrics:
    [Halsey]
I’ve been trying all my life
    To separate the time
In between the having it all
    And giving it up, yeah
    [SUGA]
Ey, in my head, these wanderings that are only full of blue
In my mind, living are the self-loathing and excessive pride
I, full of dreams, grew up to have all my dreams realized but,
at the same time, am living with a thought that dreams are better when kept as dreams
That my leap would not be my fall,
that your convictions, efforts, beliefs, and greeds are not ugly nor dirty,
    믿어 ey
    I believe, ey
Though the dawn right before the sunrise is darker than anything,
never forget that the stars you longed for only rise in the darkness
    [Halsey]
I’ve been trying all my life
    To separate the time
In between the having it all
    And giving it up, yeah
    I wonder what’s in store
If I don’t love it anymore
Stuck between the having it all
    And giving it up, yeah
    [SUGA]
Sometimes I wonder if I’m walking on the right path,
what else will be there if I run unceasingly towards the end of the tunnel,
and if it is right to do so in the first place
Honestly, it’s different from the future I hoped for,
    but that doesn’t matter
Now it’s the matter of survival - however it is, that doesn’t matter, yeah, yeah
Things might be different from what you wanted (they might)
How you live as well as what you love might change (they might)
    That’s true (That’s true, that’s true)
(Yeah) Yeah, so, are you gonna move?
We’re too young to drag our feet, so let’s try crashing into it
    So what you gonna do?
    [Halsey]
I’ve been trying all my life
    To separate the time
In between the having it all
    And giving it up, yeah
    I wonder what’s in store
If I don’t love it anymore
Stuck between the having it all
    And giving it up, yeah

Halsey has this disorder called endometriosis and it makes it difficult for her to have a baby, she had a handful of miscarriages in the past and that's why "More" was created and is a song for her future child

Halsey said the fifth track “Forever... (is a long time)” is about how she feels when she falls in love. It starts off beautiful, lighthearted, then the thunder and rain sets in and the string music comes in to represent the anxiety and treacherous nature that comes when you get closer with someone, before the end you crash and fall wondering if you’re even good enough for this person, so you have to break it off.

track 12:killing boys- soundbite from "Jennifers body"
track 14- "more" song about how she thought having children and being a mother was a dream she'd never achieve due to health complications such as endometriosis, however she recently received news that she may actually be able to have children someday- a dream reborn, re-realized, brought back to life. kill me

Room 93, Badlands and HFK are written in Halsey's perspective but Manic is written in Ashley's perspective.. the storyline is that Halsey AND Ashley lived in Badlands (city), in the Room 93, Ashley got away from Badlands and she escaped but Halsey was just a captive experiment from Badlands's authorities.. HFK is a state of mind where Halsey imaged herself after she escaped the laboratories and she tried a new life and she kept running to escape Badlands just like Ashley did. It's all the concept story!

Okay, if nobody else has said it, she was in a serious relationship with g eazy and he had cheated on her many many many times. Too many to count. She wrote, recorded, and released 'without me' as a single before their final split. She showed him the song cuz it is about him. He loved it. But they broke up not too much longer after that but basically they actually talked about having a baby, where ' you should be sad' comes in. Anyway she started writing Manic a little while after 'without me' but still put it on the album because she's expressed that Manic is her most personal work and felt that 'without me' expressed that. Anyway a lot of the songs on Manic relate to her struggles personally with losing someone she loved so much in the most painful way possible. But shes grown and healed and has learned a lot about herself. Hope that cleared up some stuff.... Lol

Please record your reaction to her live album 'BADLANDS From Webster Hall' !! The energy is MENTAL and her vocals have improved so much. The concert was from 2019 so you can really see how much she grew 4 years after BADLANDS 💜
