When Elvis lied about the other women to Priscilla and Linda, both knew he was lying and eventually had their own affairs. When Elvis lied about the other women to Anita, she believed him and she stuck it out a long time and through a lot of loneliness to try and make it work with Elvis. When Anita left Elvis, she told Vernon and Elvis who were sitting at the table in the dining room at Graceland she was not coming back and Elvis said he hoped he was making the right decision letting her go, apparently misunderstanding he was not letting anyone do anything, Anita was claiming her life back. All of the women Elvis chose to be in a relationship with were/are incredibly exceptional women, each a polished diamond in her own right, but of them all, Anita might have been the best.

I too think she had a very good life after Elvis. But she, as any woman who really loved him, certainly always had a place in her heart for Elvis. Who could forget him? She seemed like a wonderful woman. She was so courageous to have to leave Elvis because she knew about Priscilla. Not a lot of girls could do that with Elvis. She stated Elvis was her first love and her husband was her true love. She went in to live a rich life. I heard someone say she was loved by all her schoolchildren. I wonder if she was a teacher at some point. I have her books but haven’t read the one yet. She was so good for him. Hod bless her & May she rest in peace.
