This here is the Ferrari F430 GT race car that Risi Competizione that used to race in the American Le Mans Series from 2006 to 2010 and now they race their Ferrari 458 GT. Risi Competizione decided to bring out their retired Ferrari F430 GT as well as their Ferrari FXX and F1 - 2000 Formula 1 car to Coffee and Cars. Risi Competizione's Ferrari F430 GT has obviously won the biggest races in endurance racing such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 12 Hours of Sebring, Petit Le Mans and so on, so the car sure has lots of racing pedigree. The Ferrari F430 GT or as some others may refer as a GT2 car is the race car version of the normal Ferrari F430. The car originally had a 4.3 Liter V8 but for racing it has been destroked to 4.0 Liters so the car can have a lower weight of 1,100 Kilograms or 2,425 pounds so it can have a better pound to weight ratio and as you may know, the lower the pound to weight ratio number is, the faster accelerating car you got. The engine is putting about the same horsepower the normal F430 puts out like in the range of 450 to 480 HP but it is much much faster, especially with a ultra quick sequential gearbox and that huge rear wing at the back and other flaps and ducts to create downforce so the car can go round corners fast with huge amounts of grip. Everything about the car is pronouncing fast: slick tires, stiff suspension, the insane revving, the low ride height, everything. This car seen with the F1 - 2000, Ferrari FXX, and the F40 shows just how much history Ferrari has and that racing legacy that will just keep on going into the future.
