PigHandButtah Perhaps but it isn't necessarily CO2 emissions that I'm concerned with. I believe CO2 pollution has been grossly over-exaggerated. Nonetheless, diesel does emit reduced CO2, hydrocarbons, and carbon monoxide, making it very safe to work with. Diesel is also a more stable fuel than petrol so there is less risk of fire. You are right that dirty diesel IS bad for the environment as it causes acid rain. However, in recent years there have been huge improvements in direct fuel injection, catalytic converters, and CRT particulate filters which reduce the amount of soot and other harmful byproduct by roughly 90% [source: Diesel Technology Forum]. Diesel has come a long way and I believe that is now quite clean.

With someone driving the Z that knew what they were doing, the 570 wouldn't be able to overcome the power to wt ratio. But the 570X SRT8 would present a different challenge altogether, pun intended, and would be a good race. Its 6.1 produces 700hp and the 570s 5.7 only makes 500, which isn't a whole lot more that the 6.1 is stock. I have a 2010 chally srt8 currently and with some simple upgrades that I've done which is full 3''exhaust with open chamber racing bullets, CAI and a diablo tune, the 570 wouldn't embarrass me
