How is this audio so bad? The crowd audio is way better. It's like the mics in their hands weren't even on and there was a mic in the crowd that recorded everything.
HBK between Mania 12 & 14 was the greatest wrestler in the planet in my eyes.
He was a great in ring performer wasn't the guy who was going to carry the company. Too many guys didn't like his gimmick and his attitude and insecurities wouldn't allow him to do it, he liked being in the spotlight but the pressure of being champion wasn't for him. He didn't want it in 02 and after he lost it a month later he had a career resurgence. His journey and that's ok.

Wow this was the wrong video to watch while dealing with tremors I've recently been dealing with out of nowhere. Shawn Michaels seems to have it worst than me in this video lol Watching it makes me feel like we're both in the midths of a nervous breakdown. I've never seen him seem appear so nervous and shaky as he is in this video, and it makes my tremors go into overdrive as if he's mocking me haha

Shawns title run was too short
He didn't have many good top guys to work with back in 96. HBK, Undertaker, and Bret Hart were the only great Main Eventers in the Mid 90's until Rock, Austin, and Kane became big main event stars in 98.
@fmthebaron he had great matches in '96! Diesel's best match ever, Bulldog, an all-timer with Mankind. The Vader series was a bust, but c'mon.

@@stephenbrooks9509 I know HBK had great matches with everybody. He's the GOAT for sure. He worked with what he had and still had excellent matches no matter who was in the ring with him whether it was Diesel, Sid, or even near 700 pound Yokozuna in 96.

The injury was such a blessing in disguise, forced Shawn to face his demons and be a better man. Scary as it sounds, he might be dead rn if he never got injured. No telling what 90s HBK would’ve spiraled into.
He would have continued his drug use, continued down a terrible path and would probably be dead.
there's conspiracy theorists that think he wasn't hurt and that Vince just made him go away for awhile. I don't know the legitimacy of that but he was "back" as commissioner within like a year wasn't he?
@@mecha2001Why do people think that if he went and had back surgery? He was injured but it probably wasn’t as bad as they say it was. They have even admitted to a story where Shawn was supposed to return in 2001, but he was too messed up. I’m guessing he had the back injury and was ready to return soon after but Vince was weary of him returning. For a while they went with the career ending back injury story but it was likely exaggerated.
Shawn definitely wouldn’t be here. He would continue to spiral down and Vince might’ve fired him. A lot of people say Vince would never fire Shawn but I can see him having enough of him if he was still there every week. It’s possible that if he went to WCW if he was fired, he would have met his wife even earlier than he did, and he would still be alive but it could have gone really bad.

HBK interviews are the worst thing on the planet. He can't finish a simple sentence without jumping around the subject of whatever he's talking about. If you ask him about about a diner he'll literally talk about anything except the diner and proceed to give you a very unclear opinion of whether he liked that diner or not.

Nah, HBK had a lifetime contract. Like Vince said in that famous 2002 Ruthless Aggression Promo with HBK's nWo that HBK earned his bones long ago and he was the epitome of Ruthless Aggression. Plus he never even left the WWF and was still involved with WWF after he retired in 1998 as the WWF Commissioner and WWF Spokesman all throughout the Attitude Era making many appearances so it's not like he was off tv for years. Plus he had his TWA Wrestling developmental promotion during that time as well which gave the WWF some good young talent in guys like Bryan Danielson, Lance Cade, and Brian Kendrick.

I’m pretty sure this was in 2018, before he got his first job in retirement as a trainer, or it might have been during the beginning. A lot of wrestlers have done interviews for this guy, even active wrestlers.
He was never injured. Left because of his ego and then came back in regret. There's no way a severe back injury disappears all of the sudden. Always a little weazel😂
