Hey Josh, We started seriously planning this series in April or May or 2020 and had no idea if anyone would be interested in paying much higher tournament fees. We had to start somewhere, so we just reached out to people that we knew who took electric-only tournament fishing seriously, had a decent track record in the clubs that they fished, and might be willing to pay the higher tournament fees. Due to the size of most of the lakes we fish, we could only take 20 teams. The Electric Elite is just a name and is referring to this being the top club, or an elite or premier club. (If you can find a club that has higher payouts, sponsors, etc. please let us know!) This name isn't referring to the anglers in the club specifically (although most of them are really good). I know Danny and myself are far from elite anglers. If we get top 15 in this club of 20 boats I will genuinely be surprised. In the future, especially seeing people's interest in the club, we plan on having a much more intense qualification process. Our goal is to eventually get to where everyone in this club has earned the title of "an elite" and it is truly the best anglers competing against each other. I hope this clarifies some things. Thanks for stopping by and checking out our video as well. - Josh McKague
There are several great anglers throughout Ga that did not get an invite due to the limitation of 20 boat field and some of the lakes we fish having limited boat ramps. As stated several times before this is our first year and looking forward to expanding in 2021. We made the decision we made for several reason not any one specifically but we are also looking forward to extending invitations to many other great anglers in 2021. Thank you for your support. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
