I've said so often how do you begin to explain to the younger generation the rise of Michael jackson'? Because there's no equivalent today. Yes there's superstars today but no one as globally famous as mj was in the 80s and beyond. And their likely never will be. I feel so privileged to have been old enough to witness that rise and enjoy such a phenomenal talent because well never see his Iike again. When he left us he had been the most famous person on the planet for decades and in reality the most famous person to hsve lived with Jesus christ and hitler because there was virtually no one who didn't know his name and his music.
Stars dont shine that bright anymore. I couldnt even fathom being globally famous, in every corner of the world, CONSISTENTLY, from 6-7 years old til your last breath.
Great reaction. Glad you done the full show. Let's not forget they hadn't performed together for around 7 years so this was a big deal. You saw elements of future MJ greatness at 1:39 and the screams that came with it. Let's not forget that MJ was already a superstar here. Then he went up into the upper echelons of super fame. After this kids of all races wanted to be like him, dance like him. You had Motown legends behind the stage in awe, Fred Astaire in awe, most of the audience was made up of legends and record executives and they're all losing their minds. He was the most famous man on earth all the way until his death. Much missed.
The kids of all races probably wanted to be like him once his skin turned white I bet he wouldn't achieve that same global fame if it wasn't for his vitiligo
Today's artists ought to be very thankful they wasn't rising up in Michael's era,((early 80s), Michael was knocking down ALL up, and coming artists then, like bowling pins!! 8 Grammys collected in one award show alone! When Mike finally dropped the 'mic' for good, pure, real entertainment came to a screeching halt for good! Drake and Beyonce missed being hit by that train!
@@jasonloring I think he meant ‘Chicago 1945’ - it was leaked yesterday and recorded in the bad sessions.. later becoming Al Capone then Smooth Criminal! The fandom is going crazy at the moment
Music today is not sweet, smooth and pure like it was in this era. I miss this kind of music.
Me too Dorothy!

@@jasonloring facts. And they wonder why he had issues? Added to the fame the fact he was supporting his family at age 8.
