I love dms as a club dj it is amazing and the community around dms is one of the most wonderful. It makes you feel like you are in a exclusive community of djs and entertainers
I am an old school DJ and agree with DJ Alex. BPM Supreme does not have old catalog music but there are other pools i.e. DMS where you can download those songs. As I am a mobile/club DJ, BPM Supreme has worked very well with me. Easy to use and they update on a regular basis. They also have BPM Latino for latin music which is also great. Just wanted to add that all BPM music does have high quality music in both basic and premium accounts. The only option you do not have access to as a basic user is the playlists and curated sections which I don't care to much for.
Thanks for the review. I subscribed to BPM back in 2015 and used it up until a few months ago. Their back catalog disappeared, and they didn't have alot of the new songs I was looking for another record pool and tried zipdj, barbangerz and heavy hits. I ended up sticking with heavy hits, but also wanted another pool that had a better back catalog. Thanks to your review I ended up signing up to DMS, it definitely helps fill the gaps with heavy hits. I do highly recommend heavy hits over BPM.
Very helpful review! I am a having trouble submitting my BPM Supreme membership. It asks me questions such as professional DJ company name or Professional DJ website. I am a Beginner DJ. Any advice on how to go about this? Thank you.
Camilo, thanks for the kind words, happy to help with your situation, I would just put something like "DJCM" for DJ name pick whatever you want, you can always change it later (I have changed my branding soooo many times), you will also probably need to show a facebook page or website, just make sure it matches what you give them in that form for info.
They both have good varieties. BPM has a bigger spread but due to that its not always quality, DMS has a bit less but good quality. If I where you I would do a month of each (use my referral link in the description for a discount on DMS) and see which works best for you.
Hi Alex, Thanks for this video very helpful in out lining the two DJ pools. From the 2 which has more and the best latin pop mixes ??? or do you know of another DJ pool ??? please advice thanks
yes very helpful review thank you. now im a beginner dj and I only have about 600 songs on my iTunes and it mostly 70s 80s 90s and early 2000s. now I would like to get mostly that same stuff but I don't feel like paying a fortune to get my music. what do you think will be best. thanks for your help
In your opinion, which pool is the best For Top 40? Artist like? Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, The Weeknd, Krewella, iggy Azalea, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Kygo etc. music you would hear at a school dance, or a nightclub? I can never just find the standard version. What’s the closest DJ pool to Spotify?
Between BPM and DMS they should have most of that stuff, BPM is cheaper so thats what I'd go with. As for DJ pool close to spotify, none, they are apples and oranges but I would look into beatsource link, I have multiple videos about it on my channel they are more similar to spotify but are not a pool
hey thank you for the info as I'm looking for new pool's bas I'm a club and a mobile dj. I've tried bpm for a couple of years promo only mymp3 pool smash video list goes on what are you using and happy. with
Appreciate your video, thanks for your work and new sub here :) Just one thing I wanted to mention and maybe you mentioned it in your other DMS video but you can get unlimited downloads with DMS for 64.95.
To be politically correct I should say “nightlife” however festivals/tours/shows vary a lot based on size. Something like hyperglow I would lump into clubs but ultra I would say is a totally different ball game. Most people in those big shows are getting a lot of music from labels and producers directly from what I know. Hope that helps you.
Good question, for the most part yes your going to get more variety but DMS often has the tracks like no guidance that BPM doesnt. TO that its your call, I prefer BPM's selection for the price
I heard that, sometimes the volume changes with different formats. Kind of like the volume fluctuates on different tv channels. Often times this happens when you buy music(for example Apple Music) than when you burn it. For example, burned music can sometimes be louder or more quiet or blast the crowds eardrums, all of sudden, in the middle of a mix. I'm looking for consistency in the volume. I know there will always be difference in volume, I'm talking about a drastic change, that happens with ripped or burned copies of music, that and I want to be legit. I am interested in BPM, but if DMS is better at this than BPM, then I'll go that route.
While the things you mention to affect volume, the largest thing that affects it is mastering of a track or an edit of a track. If your just looking for originals either service has the same track volumes because they are the original master which are usually done right. But when you get into edits dms has a lot better volume consistency because they have more professional edits from experienced producers that know how to master. On that note I’ve only seen a few poorly mastered tracks on bpm and if you are using serato you can adjust the gain for that track, so its volume is correct and each time you load it, the track will be at the pre determined level going forward. As far as rips from youtube or playing off apple music, the volume change is usually caused by a lack of quality (most youtube audio is capped at around 96kbps I believe) and streaming is up to around 192kbps on a good day. Compared with dj music at 320. Because of that you lose data and as a result volume. Typically oh the high and low ends of audible sound. And yes my numbers are estimated because I dont have the time to look up exacts. Hope this helps you!
@@DJALEXBROWN a sincere thank you for an expedient and educated answer. I will have to start an website, because I'm just starting out. I think BPM matches my price range. I may use Apple Music until I can get a website started. Maybe the turn of the year I can get rolling on starting BPM. I might use some Christmas money. Again thanks for the quick and honest answer. Do you ever do any live sets? Or do you do a live set anywhere on other channels?
@@generaseven You're welcome! Sorry if it was overly technical, but the question/answer crosses from the analog to digital/technical realm which can be complex. You can always do just a month of bpm, then cancel, to try it and often they do a first month for $10. With bpm and apple music, I feel like thats a better deal as I mentioned in my most recent video. I do sometimes do live sets on twitch.tv/djalexbrown and my personal instagram @djalexbrown
There are tracks like that on any label, theres a lot of travis scott missing which makes me think he has some issue with them but theres no way to be sure... if you ask them they just tell you its disabled content or something so the world may never know.
Great video! I want BPM Supreme, but just like the comment below I’m having trouble as well. I’m a beginner DJ so the questions they’re asking me I don’t have an answer for. What shall I do?
Basically the same thing I said to Camilo, make a facebook page or something like that, they aren't strict about it, you could also reach out to their support for help
i dont understand these record pools selling intros and edits or dj edits as a dj and any other good dj male or female has the ability to make their own intros and edits.
I think your missing the point a bit there.. for most DJ's its not worth our time to sit and make intro edits and don't have access to the files needed to make the same quality intro edits that the pools have.

What's best for wedding DJ'S? Thanks
probably BPM by a narrow margin
@@DJALEXBROWN That's the one I went for, it's really good. Cheap too ,👍
Very good review and comparison

I would go with BPM latino out of the two... That is dedicated to latin music whereas DMS doesn't offer anything like that. Hope this helps.
@@DJALEXBROWN Thanks, I appreciate your help and advice. If I have other questions can I reach out to you ??
very awesome video - i used bpm supreme and it is lacking in the back catalog
Thanks for the comment, I definitely agree if they do have a back catalog track its totally random

a tip : you can watch movies at Flixzone. I've been using them for watching loads of movies during the lockdown.

I’m debating whether to try DMS now cause I do mostly weddings
Need some back catalog stuff but also the current hits
I would do a month or 2 of DMS and download as much as possible, probably pay for the unlimited.
Great video mate!!!
TY
hey thank you for the info as I'm looking for new pool's bas I'm a club and a mobile dj. I've tried bpm for a couple of years promo only mymp3 pool smash video list goes on what are you using and happy. with
my preferred pool at this time is bpm supreme, though I have some new comparisons coming out soon
Which is better for old and new R & B?
For both probably DMS
its 2022 and bpm still lacks older music like lots of classic rock a record pool should have all music.
Hi Alex Im looking 4 a dj pool with disco 70s 80s and 90s trax. Can you please suggest me what is the best??? Thanks👍👍👍
Download sidify and you could convert iTunes music into mp3 and use it with Serato
can i download whole playlist from bpm supreme standard subscription ???
standard subscriptions do not have access to playlists
Can you use stems with DMS
serato stems? I'm not sure what youre asking

he mention this in this video 👍

what does he mean by streaming service. Like you can stream on the website like twitch?
A music streaming service, Spotify, Apple Music, Beastource etc
Excellent video
Thank you, glad you enjoyed!

Does bpm supreme have problem with labels? No guidance is such a popular song but not in bpm supreme's library? It made switch to club killers

Is your referral code still valid? Discount doesn't seem to be working.
It should be but I'll check it, if you can't get it to work just enter your email but don't pay yet and they will send you a coupon within a day.
