If you speak with an Australian or New-Zeeland accent you sound both sympathetic and knowledgeable. In fact this guy is right, too. It is a crime that lightweight rowing is canceled at Olympics. LW4- the most beautiful rowing.
I will say a couple of words about myself now. Be free to change the channel. I somehow managed a 6:34.6 2K, and a 3:10.00 1K and I am a overweight heavyweight. Always been big, but I have dropped 38kg now, so we're definitely getting somewhere. And it is all pretty much thanks to the ERG. How ever, this video has once again thought me that I need to work on my technique. Eager to drop that 1K time. Thank you Decent Rowing. ❤
On the recovery, how does it really matter whether one reverses the order as arms, body, legs as opposed to a relaxed motion in any order that brings the rower back to the catch in the same amount of recovery time?
It’s so your body is in the correct position to start the next catch. In the recovery if you let your legs back first then arms then hips then your arms are going to be scrunched up in the catch still waiting for your arms. If your arms recover first then they are ready to commence the catch and just waiting for the legs
The best, simplest, clearest rowing tutorial.
Among the tons of rowing stroke videos out there, this is the BEST!
I've linked to it many times, whenever this topic is up for discussion...
This grid on the wall in the background is...simple and a great idea.
