The 8a looks like an excellent phone. I don't get all the obsession on bezels as they aren't that bad. The reason to pick up an 8a is for the long term value. For everything you get I don't see a deal breaker.
@@moisesgomez208 they are but to me it's no worse than iPhones having huge ass notches. My opinion is it doesn't affect performance or using it daily so it isn't that big of a deal
@@moisesgomez208yes they are thick. But it isn't that big of a deal. After using it regularly you won't even notice. Doesn't affect performance and I'd much rather deal with thick bezels than Google cutting corners on performance or battery life or anything more major than something like bezels that isn't a big deal.
When I hear some of the complaints made about the a series pixels like not having a telephoto lens on the bezels being a little bit big people forget it is the budget version of the pixel. You aren't going to get everything on it. Otherwise it would just be the pro version. Honestly, the a series is one of the best budget phones you can get I got the 6a a couple years ago and it's still holds up fantasticly only thing is some days the battery can last me all day and others. I have to charge it up at tee time. That is 6:00 here in the UK. Apart from that I love the phone.
I still have the P7 and its still working great with Tmobile. I know P9 is coming but I will still hold on with my P7 until it will stop working. That P8a color is dope though. nice!
Pros : - 7 years software update - Released after trial and error of 8 and 8 pro - 120 refresh rate - Way cheaper than the other versions when bought with a carrier provider. - Tensor G3 Cons : - Battery drain - Slow charging - Software glitch once in a while My opinion: Go for 8a as there is nothing notably beneficial buying 8 or 8 pro.
I have the Pixel 8 Pro, my qualms is the battery life, drains too fast even on LTE+ instead 5G. I can imagine on 8a, with the smaller battery and 120hz full time refresh rate. Also, sometimes the phone hangs, meaning you have to hit the power button to turn off the display and back on. I won't be getting the pixel 9 series, will wait for the Pixel 10 if they have the new Snapdragon 8 gen 4/5. I also have the OnePlus 12, and I love it, The battery life is awesome, with battery saver easy 3 days and still snappy. Blazing fast, no hang ups. I wish Google got OnePlus to make their phone hardware with Google's styling and software, but optimized by OnePlus lol. Their apps use a third of the battery power than Google Pixel 8 pro.
So i just noticed its on sale for $450. If it goes to $350, i might get it. I want that google pixel experience, even w the slow charging. And I don't want to spend $1K for a phone.
I thought it would be lighter than my current iPhone 12 but battery size might add up its weight. Good size though. Between P8 and P8a, it's a jump from 60 to 120 refresh rate, a little bit higher display and battery size that stand out. I really like P7 pro that I bought for my son cus of amazing speed but boy it's super heavy and large for travel! Bought P8a as new a week ago from Ebay for $400 so it's a good deal to have as a backup phone.
You can get a Samsung s23 Samsung renewed for $319 with a trade in out a phone in the other section. I sent in an old BLU phone to get the pice down to $319 form $619 and everything is better then it is on this phone.
IKR! I wish all color options were available with all storage options. I'd love to have a Mont 8a with 256gb storage. although you could always sub to Google 1.
CON: WIFI Calling is not offered for this phone from most carriers. If you live in an area with bad cell coverage, this can be a major safety concern. Ask me how I know.
@@UwUAveythyst I wouldn't mind a small phone, but this phone looks like it came out of a .25 cent machine at Walmart 🤣 and it costs $500! Come on Google
Did it really take that long for this video to come? Anyways, I really like the Pixel 8a. And not gonna lie, IDK if I should pick this over the Moto G Stylus 5g? Honestly, I like them both equally. So know I got no clue which direction I should go 😅
Still can't figure out why people bitch about bezels, it's like a border around a picture frame. I could give 2 shits about bezels. We all got a little extra fat on us we don't want either.
Frankly, I wonder why this phone even exists? Especially, since you can find the pixel 8 on sale for about $50 more. Furthermore, the pixel 8 doesn't have a plastic build with bezels that resemble the lip on a swimming pool. Due to the tensor chipsets I'm admittedly not a pixel fan but, it seems like spending $50 more would be money better spent.
Idk I'm coming from a smashed up 6a and switching to Google Fi in getting one for free, it's the pixel that carriers will give away for free with trade/opening. New line

Why would they stop making their own chips for the pixel 10 it will be the Tensor G5 which will be by TSMC instead of shitty Samsung…

No. Samsung color science on the main shooter is trash. Samsung bloatware is trash. Fucking advertising in the native weather app is ridiculous.
I hate how the 256gb was limited to only the black color, like why I dont get that
