We will be forever grateful to LSU for hiring Brian Kelly and getting him out of Notre Dame. I can guarantee you it won't get any better. Get ready for 7 more years of it.
Brian Kelly wasn't responsible for Notre Dame failure. Notre Dame hasn't won since 89. It's because of one thing: lack of talent and skill players. Notre Dame has high academic restrictions that prevent them from getting the best. Until that changes, they can't compete
@@GrouchyKraut. They certainly can “compete”; and they’re certainly better than most teams including LSU even with the academic burden. They should be able to win regardless; whether they become top tier is the question. But Kelly WAS part of the problem. He’s a second tier coach, lousy in big games, a mediocre recruiter and a terrible game adjustment coach. Plus he’s an ass.
@@GrouchyKraut Even with Kelly ND went to the BCS Championship in 2012, the playoffs in 2018, 2020, was a hair away from going to the playoffs again in 2021 and is looking like they will be going to the 12 team playoff in 2024, so how can you say they can’t compete? Yes, they got blown out when they made the playoffs but what other team would have done any better in those games? And maybe if ND had better coaching they would have performed better. Who knows.
@@JJDSports2012LSU is 3-1 in national title games and 4-2 in SEC title games since 2000. ND has won what since 2000? I do think this NIL era will help ND once again “truly” become competitive on the national scene. But it’s not truly been a title contender for a long time. Mostly due to a lack of skill players. Ironically as BK left ND he may have come to LSU in an era where we aren’t able to be as competitive because of lack of alumni money. I do agree that BK has a ceiling. But he has enough skills to maintain a program enough to potentially luck up some years and get in position to play for a title like he did at ND when he got smoked by Saban. And unfortunately we are stuck with him for 4-5 years.
Nussmeier was sacked multiple times but he took forever to release the ball and missed open players. The most disconcerning aspect of this whole situation is that no one seems to know what's going on!
The swamp was loud and it was a great game to be at ! As a fan i always anticipate this game .... LSU VS FLORIDA IS SEC FOOTBALL!! Great game guys.... we snapped the streak looking forward to the matchup next year!
Why does everyone seem to defend BK, dude wake up!!! He has NEVER been more than he is and at 10 million a year, there should be a much higher expectation. He cannot continue to blame everyone else around you, especially the players. The players will shut down on you, I am speaking as a past collegiate athlete. Coaching is much more than X’s and O’s!!
exactly, always been this way. Before Notre Dame he made his name at Cincinnati. After 8 or 9 years or whatever at Notre Dame they matched up with Cincy and lost and Cincy made playoffs over ND. Thats when I knew what Kelly was, ten years later and Cincy who was still G5 team was in better spot than when he left and was actually better than what he was able to build ND up to with plenty of time. Not a good sign but a big red flag.
Brian Kelly has sown discord within his team. His constant verbal abuse directly to or about players who make mistakes is unacceptable and undeniable. He is not a coach he is a boss that no one wants to work for! We have good athletes and should have a good program but the Big I in BrIan is getting pushback from the TEAM because of Kelly’s disrespect.
LSU absolutely needed to beat Florida, given the big picture. I really don’t think Kelly has the constitution to be HC at LSU. He seems so lost as a coach. I think LSU has a real problem moving forward, given Kelly’s contract. Would hate to be Tiger right now.
This is a failure of leadership. The defense is playing as 11 individuals, not a team. The players get out of position to look for the highlight defensive stop. Watch individual plays, the linebackers creep up instead of covering their area. Nuss is done. He can’t read a defense anymore. Defense puts 7 in the box, LSU runs the ball. 5 defense in the box, LSU throws. It’s mind numbing.
The problem y'all are having is that Kelly is still running a freaking offense that he ran at cincinnati. That offense is 15 to 20 years old or better. When LSU lines up on offense there's nothing in the backfield no pre-snap motion no misdirection he's not running single wing he's not running enough single wing which means he's not running enough spread🎉
The biggest stat no one is mentioning (besides the score) is LSU averaged 4.2 yards per play while Florida averaged 7.8. Usually, that's what wins games behind only the turnover margin.
When LSU losses to Vanderbilt it will be like a meteor extinguishing the dinosaurs. This program won’t recover until this coaching staff is run out of town
Glen, it's not about how LSU is on a downturn. It's about how Florida is just a really good team when they put everything together. It wasn't that LSU had such a poor performance, it was that Florida came to play football
Get the younger players and backups some experience in these last two games and whatever toilet bowl that they get. Players like Dellinger shouldn’t see the field again until next year.
@@jasonsliger5430 yet you’re at home barely able to walk 10 feet without getting out of breath and not getting paid for your worthless opinions. Meanwhile, the coaches and players are getting paid millions 😂
The problem on D is a lack of talent. On O it’s a lack of coaching. Enough talent is there on O. The O scheme doesn’t fit the players on Offense and the play caller is FCS grade (not P5 grade). Nuss should be in an offense where he’s under center. He’s not a spread read option QB because he’s immobile. This offense would look more balanced if he was under center with a downhill running game with a lead blocker and the ability to run play action off it. And the OC play calling is predictable and easy to be manipulated by opposing DCs. I mean how many inside zone read option runs have to get stuffed (over and over again) before you stop calling it? Your players can’t execute it. BK made up for hiring inexperienced low resume defensive staff in year 1 by hiring the best D staff he could find this past offseason. And then turned around and in the same offseason promoted an OC without the playcalling resume or even OC duties on his resume at the P5 level. And we need a new strength coach. As we learned with Ed O…CEO coaches that don’t make good assistant hires-often fail miserably.
When we had the ball. That is for most of the game, we just managed field goals, when the Gators had the ball, they scored touchdowns. Hey but we are supposed to have at least (2) first round picks in our OL!
Why do you even bother talking like that? He would still be ND's coach today if he hadn't taken the job. And he had ND in the 4 team playoff hunt every season over a five year run, qualifying twice, before LSU scooped him up. BK was so successful at ND that he could basically name his price, which it appears he did. WTF exactly were you warning them about??
You come off as a jilted boyfriend still in love with his girlfriend that just cant move on but she did. ND is irrelevant with BK or without. LSU will not stand for this. ND does
LMAO yeah I don't want to hear about that play calling crab LOL he had that placard out last night which means that he's taking on a lot more of the play calling duties which means somebody probably got in his ear and said that people are getting nervous LOL😅😅
Let me throw it out there, does this team have a weed problem? I was hearing rumors that Chris Hilton in injury was actually suspensions. And now you have two guys missed the first half for disciplinary reasons. Time to make some cuts, play some kids that want to be out there and willing to put in the on and off field effort!
That's a dumb thing to say. They can't afford to.He'll be there at least 2 more years. At that point...if he is still fishing in the same boat....he's history.
Things won’t turn around until BK is gone. This is why I have never been a fan of bloated contracts. You can’t dump them when it’s obviously not working.
LSU for sure losing to Vanderbilt. Lagway injury meant he couldnt run. QB run is actually LSU worst matchup and Pavia can run. LSU in trouble when they play Vanderbilt. Bad matchup for LSU also as their defense the type to confuse Nuss and force a couple interceptions.
They held the offense to 1 TD in the entire first half. Those two long ass field goals isn't on the D. NO TDs in the 3rd qtr. What else did you want from them? Another long ass TD happened in the 4TH qtr. The ONLY mishap was that long run. DEFENSE PLAYED WELL ENOUGH TO WIN, OFFENSE UAS TO FUCKING SCORE. They had the ball for 40 damn minutes...
I never thought I’d doubt LSU going into a game with Vanderbilt, but I do, this year.

Serious question.... Why would any recruit want to play for Brian Kelly?
That’s the deal exactly. They DONT like him nor want to play for him. And I can understand why. He’s an asshole.
Why? He's one of the few HCs who will "grind" on a recruit in a strip club type environment. What recruit wouldn't want that?
