Hi, can you please tell if Xduoo XD05 Basic + Schiit Jotunheim may be a good combination for both portability and desktop use? I like the idea of moving good sound with my laptop everywhere I go, and having even better sound at home with may be balanced headphones or powered speakers. My main concern is that basic uses old dac chip whereas XD05 Bal 2 for instance, uses more latest one. So are we losing some extra juice by paying less?

Did you burn in the THR-1? Kinki recommends 300 hours. SoundNews had a completely different take with lower impedance headphones (Quad ERA-1, 20 ohms; HiFiMan Arya, 40 ohms; Erzetich Phobos, 45 ohms) as well as with the LCD-4, 200 ohms.
