No one phrases like Keith. As Miles said, "You can tell a musician by the way he plays a ballad", and Keith can play a ballad. In my opinion, Keith and and Bill Evans were ballad masters.
Saludos!
I was listening it Live in 1985 through polish national broadcast station PR2. This is one of The greatest performances of this piece I ever listened. My favorit, Jarrett was really genial interpet of this one. Love it!
I have waited a long time for this piece to be posted, separate from the rest of the concert - thanks! If you asked me to listen to a piano or bass solo on "Georgia on My Mind", I would have said "okay". However, if you asked me to listen to a drum solo on that same tune, you might have thrown me for a loop. But if you had said the drummer would be Jack DeJohnette, I would have been highly interested. He surely doesn't disappoint here. What an amazing drummer! And what a damn fine trio... BRAVO!!!
C'mon ECM, release this on a nice blu ray. As a life long KJ fan, let me say: 1) this is fantastic, and 2) I think I can understand why he didn't put this on an album... it is roughly from the same time period, and is roughly the same kind of experiment as "God Bless the Child" as a gospel/rock number... and for those of you who haven't heard that ("God Bless the Child", I mean) I highly recommend it... in a lifetime of KJ listening, it remains one of my favorites...
Biden took Georgia, yeah! So Georgia keeps being on my mind. And this masterful piece is the perfect comment on it. Gary at the peak of his skills, now entertaining the heavens and letting them vibrate!
What an ending! Out of this world.
This trio has to be considered one of the best ever. Their talent and body of work is just astounding.
Can never get tired listening to this type of excellent , mind blowing performance of Keith!
There are only a handful of things in this world that are the greatest and most excellent. This trio is one of them. Thank you Keith, Gary & Jack. 😌

Definitely
Mucha salud!

Thanks for sharing this information…keep it up
There is absolutely zero chance that jazz piano could ever get better than this right here,
Incredible! Thanks!
It's always a delight to hear Keith play ballads alone or whith his Trio!
De uma sensibilidade impressionante. Vídeo soberbo. Obrigado.
One of the best improvisation of this piece

I still have the whole concert recorded from the PR2 and remasterd on cd. Greetings, Tomek.

He is just great. The way he approaches the piano is so unique. We must do a lesson on him.
No one made the piano sound better. Anyone who attended one of his Carnegie Hall concerts knows that.

yes Biden is leading in Georgia, but no victory yet...let's hope
