The Cynthia Synthacon Filter in Modcan A-Series format was the first modern Steiner Filter module available with separate inputs (used with Nyle Steiner's permission). Ken Stone did the PCB layout, and with Cynthia's permission released it as a Cat Girl CGS module but without the Cynthia version's VC Resonance. The Doepfer version came later.
I would love to see more demos of a 3-input Steiner filter (including the Elby Synthacon, TipTop Forbidden Planet, etc) with multiple input sources plugged in, demonstrating how the filter sweeps through the LP/BP/HP inputs. Most of the videos I've seen are basic sweeps and of a single input (I know, that's what most people want to see....)
This is the first movie in a series on that filter. The series was created for my Eurorack Expansion course (courses.learningmodular.com/courses/ee-t2); I decided to share the introductory movies for some of the modules for free on TH-cam as well - that's what this is.
My notes - which are years old - says the source is a Voice of America broadcast, and that it is Thai. You could download their newscasts years ago, and I did that for some ambience beds.

have you tried feeding back output 2 to hp in? it adds more bass and extra resonance!
