Wow! Shades of when me and my husband met, and our instant bond . I think that Tsukasa and Lady Subaru have that soul connection. So perfect for each other!
Man I was in grade 3, I used to sneak outta bed to watch this series. To be pretty frank now I find the darkend nostalgia kind of relieving and the lyrics to so many of miss Kajiura's songs are haunting in a really beautiful way with the context of the show and the troubled characters in it. The song stray child broke me down years later as an adult.

Really makes me wish that by Quantum's time frame, we at least get to see An and Mariko's life together. Hell, even maybe tease that they sense a resonance with another couple, one Ryou Misaki and Chigusa Kusaka. That to them, the former feels familiar.
This scene really put into perspective that she plays the game for power that she doesn't feel she has in real life (Being paralyzed), it's why I went from slightly disliking Subaru and thinking she had an ego, to absolutely LOVING Subaru and understanding that it wasn't ego, but she is a strong willed person in her words and how she holds herself as a person, and standing up to that player cemented that.
Give the way her clothes were torn and she was emotionally distraught, this whole scene comes off like she’s just been raped and needs a loved one to comfort her in her time of need.
Am I remembering it wrong. I thought one time they showed her Infront of her PC and her parents were arguing in the background. It was the funniest shit

After nearly 20 years everytime I watch this I tear up...its so sad yet weirdly satisfying to watch. 💔
21 years,same
We dance for the idiots
Ever since I watched the show back then, I always loved these two being together. Tsukasa and Subaru are perfect for each other.
I forgot just how good this music is.
First anime soundtrack I ever bought.
Also still the only one
Yuki Kajiura
Kajiura Yuki is a goddess
Only reason to watch this pile lol
Yuki Kajiura fucking knocked it out of the park with the soundtrack for this anime, IDGAF what anyone says.
It is so good
The sound at the end and the "i'm right here" line, just make me think of GU
So glad I'm not the only one who's mind went there
SKEEEEEEEIIIIIIITH
I think at the time, I didn't realize how depressing this show could be.
This show was greatly..greatly ahead of it's time. No one was ready to feel what it forced us to feel. Lol
Watching it back as an adult, a lot of things went over my head.

Read all the manga, it was worse. Though it became utter trash when .link started retonning eveything.
It’s really depressing when you find out the main character uses the game as an escape from her father beating her.
I think I have just decided that I want to make a cosplay for myself as Lady Subaru and for my husband as Tsukasa for our next anime convention...
Did it happen

love this show dot hack for life
After almost 30 years this is still the best non-romantic romantic scene I've seen.
It's clearly and explicitly romantic, though?
They're gay.
best scene out of the whole series. so many feels~
This was the original SAO
Sao can’t even compare to this underrated classic
I remember this airing on YTV as a kid, the song would fit Gundam Seed so well.
this always wounds my poor heart

Ok where i can watch hack sign?
Really weird music choice, but the feels in this scene are so strong I don't even care.
