It may have been already on "Movie sequels that were better than the original Part 1". I am not going to bother to look for it. I will always personally, prefer the horror and awesomeness of the original, over the fun action sequel. I love most of T2, but I love all of T1. Arnold is so much better as the bad guy, come on people! 🙂 Yes, I know I am hugely in the minority.
@@mattmccomas1 More than you know, it's impossible to root against Arnold Schwarzenegger, because Linda Hamilton was just far too whiny in the original, she got way better in the sequel, though.
I love Gremlins 2, but it's not "better" than the OG. Ah well. I haven't seen the second Magic Mike, but I can't imagine it being better than the first. Maybe more "fun", but that first one was a just such pleasant surprise. Gritty and well acted, I really dug it. I will still pass on the second I think. Sorry guys.
Sequels are tricky. From what I've observed, the best sequels were at least thought of when doing the first film. A basic foundation or structure to go on that ties into the original.

No, it was awful, yet, S&E, indefensibly, gave it a great review, like, they did, with, every Disney animated film, while, they slammed the criminally underrated, The Nutcracker Prince, they were in Disney's pocket, it's painfully obvious, there's no other explanation, period.

Rush Hour 2 is everything a sequel should be!
Rush Hour 3 > 2 > 1. It is more enjoyable and funnier each time. Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan are great duo.
2 is my favorite but all of them are amazing

BBFL was way better than both of them, Michael Bay was a total hack that got lucky, simple as that.

"The Suicide Squad" may indeed be better than "Suicide Squad," but come on, that's a pretty low bar.
Empire strikes back is another example of the fourth movie in a franchise being better than the prequel, although that is a bit of a cheat.
