First truck I ever rode in was my dad's 1960 Ford cabover I was 1at the time he hauled swinging meat for Reimer Express Lines out the west back east to ont musta caught the bug to drove 43 years myself lol
When I started driving in early seventies. Was a old guy had one of these pulling a dump trailer. I think it had a Cummins. I bought a w model first truck in 1976 it’s was a 1969 ford with a 270 cat. This is a beautiful truck. You guys sure done a great job. Great video flatbed red.
That's awesome great job restoring it. I always liked cabovers. I had a 51' ford COE from Madison Wis, had Koch Motors Inc on the door. Anyone remember that business? I searched but couldn't find anything.
LOL is that a radio? You can Tell she's from a different generation and I was looking at that radio thinking that is so cool that is the factory Ford radio in that vehicle. Yes it's just a plain old Ford AM radio which was considered upgraded equipment back in those days. You were really moving if you had a radio in a truck
This is my channel. Asking leading questions is a standard way interviews work. Not everyone watching knows what everything is. Doing my part to keep this history alive.
Very nice interior! The other few H model Fords I've seen on here had shabby original interiors and it spoilt the hole truck. There is another thing I've noticed on videos of cabover trucks on these videos is the MESS under the Dashboard when the door is opened and videoer is standing on the ground 😮
Sounds like you may be new here - welcome! Here’s the only other H Ford on my channel so far…but there are hundreds of other rigs to see on my truck tours playlist. th-cam.com/video/Q3qcbfAbt2M/w-d-xo.html
I fell in love with these cab over Fords 60 years ago when I was 15. I saw them advertised in Pit&Quarry magazine here in Australia 🇦🇺. We didn't get them here in Australia, but I did see a C model in use with a Live carrier who had an all Ford fleet. Wether he ordered it or Ford Motor Co. Chose him to Tial them in Australia, I don't know. It had big gas V8 and at the time diesels were really taking over in truck sales. Our gasoline (petrol )were much higher than in the States. That is the best presented H model I have seen on U Tube .😊 especially the interior. I just realised something, when H model Ford interiors are videoed from the ground, they always look messy. The cause is the under dashboard (mess)always hits the viewer in the Eyes 😮.
First!
Ford's first, real COE. Dubbed the "Two Story Falcon", looked like a C-Series and N-Series mashup.
THANK YOU MISS FLATBED RED FOR SHARING...YOU DON'T KNOW HOW HAPPY YOU MADE THIS OLD TRUCKER FEEL..GOD BLESS

My Papa drove one of these in early sixtys for "Foremost" dairy products! But, it was "Orange on White" ( I miss those days with my Pop)❤
LOVE this tractor I even have a diecast of this truck from the 70s 😊
I would love to see the build photos of this beautiful unicorn
If you see the truck at a show, they have an album of them. But photos of photos aren’t great so I didn’t include them.

The way this one is painted makes it more obvious that the Budd cab was used.
Happy New Year
