Despite the historic rivalry between their sects, the Dalai Lama took the Karmapa Lama under his wing when he was exiled to India as a child. Many believe he is being groomed as a successor. But it is doubtful that members of the Dalai Lama s sect will ever accept the Karmapa Lama as a leader. He s the one who has to shoulder a great responsibility, says Tenzin Dhundup of The Tibetan Youth Congress. Tremendous doc that accurately summarized the challenges plaguing the Tibetan people. From Chinese kidnappers to outdated lineage squabbles, Tibetans definitely need a charismatic leader to keep their struggle at the forefront.
I visited the monastery provided him soon after he was settled into India from his escape from his own monastery near Lhasa. It is a suitable building on the campus of a school/university of Buddhist studies (many monks there). All the Karampa's retainers are there; his meeting visitors that day seemed to depend on a generous donation, guided definitely by his retainers (who appear not too savvy to Western ways). That was my one visit that one day in.
I have impression that Karampa is very wise to the ways of the world, including China's spot, and that he knows he is, sometimes, "handled" by his retainers. He exudes a smart, well educated, and very strong personality that is nevertheless surrounded by his position, not the least of which is closeness with HH Dalai Lama. I have impression he can be a wonderful, powerful, world leader. My personal sense of Him is that he knows when he will be in position to not abide fools softly. But what can one visit, mine, tell?

20 IRREFUTABLE EVIDENCE that proved maybe Christianity God is FAKE, don't miss the last paragraph that explains them all:
1) Jesus similarities with Buddha. Maya to Mary, miracle pregnancy to virgin pregnancy, birth during a journey home to from home, prophesied soon after birth, both had a disciple who betrayed them, walked on water, Gautama left the palace at age 29 and Jesus appeared at 29, Gautama became Buddha at 35 and Jesus died and resurrected at around 35 too, after they passed away, 500 arahants witnessed compilation of Buddha's teachings and over 500 witnesses to Jesus's resurrection etc. All coincidental ? Beside Buddha, Jesus also copied from Horus and Mithra. Surely they ALL cannot be coincidental.
2) Many of the Bible's mythologies was copied from older pagans, Greek, Egyptian or Hinduism religions(note the names too) E.g. Adam & Eve story similar to Atman and Jeewa, a pair of birds in Hinduism, big flood and survivor Noah/3 sons same as Manu/3 sons although cause of flood is different. Even the names of Abraham and wife/sister Sarah close to Brahma and Saraswathi beside having similar story. Regardless of which religion copied which, it proved this god is NOT the only true god or all mighty as it doesn't makes sense to create or allow more copies or religions.
3) Why a true all mighty, all knowing and only god allowed their people to branch off and kill their parent religion Judaism ? This alone is enough proof that their God is non-existant. "Free will" as an excuse is not acceptable as earlier they claimed their God killed all people with a big flood(without freewill) because they sinned.
4) The Bible condemned non-followers, clearly mentioned in Mark's words. Why should a Creator God's religion condemn non-believers when in the first place, they claimed their God created the world? Isn't this like playing both sides of the same coin, both good and evil ?
5)Not knowing why or how the world exists don't mean that it was created by a god. Now "Creator" got stale, they use "Intelligent Design" What is so intelligent in its design? If people don't need to go to toilet and don't have unpleasant feelings and sufferings, then I will call it an intelligent design.
6)Wisdom and meditation are not taught by them. Is it because they know meditation can make a person's mind clearer and wiser?
7)The Bible copied so much from older religions but why don't they copy the theory of karma too? Is it because karma debunk the idea of an all mighty God or is it because karma belief prevent people from doing bad deeds ?
8) The way the church preached and claimed simply lacked substance and logic. If you ask them intelligent question, they will always be evasive and say you are not serious or an evil.
9) It don't makes sense to claim that only their believers will go to heaven and others don't since they claimed their God created all people. Such claim is an insult to other religions and cultures and caused people to divide. A good religion should be secular and treat all people equally.
10) The way they collect titlings during Sunday mass is so tricky. They know people will be shy not to pay or tend to pay more when others could be watching. This is why they don't just use a stationed money box like Buddhism, Hinduism or Chinese temples where people can donate anytime. Catholics and Islam made it even bigger by suggesting donation of a certain percentage of their income.
11)Most major festivals and holidays related to Christianity are fake including Christmas(Jesus can't be born in winter), Easter, Thanksgiving, Good Friday, All Souls, Halloween and even New Year are copied from paganism.
12) A creator god claimed to be all mighty should be the first and only religion but all the pagans, Greek, Chinese, Hinduism religions existed earlier. This proved Creator claim fake.
13) Using fear like hell or "end of the world" every 2 years but we are still here.
14) The fraud case of Mother Teresa(Google it) and after she died, those money she collected was not returned to India.
15)If their God is all-mighty, why need missionaries to convert others ?
16) The ongoing child sex abuses committed by the pastors/priests that I read so often.
17) The Bible is full of lust(Solomon's part), evil and violence. Their God killed countless people when Satan only killed a few.
18) The Bible condemned dogs because they know dogs are man's best friend. Making men lonely is the best way to keep them dependant on religion.
19) If God created everybody, why then condemn LGBT ?
20) Incidents, eg: (a) U.S., U.K, France, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Mexico are all high Christianity population countries and more people died from Covid-19, (b)The Air Asia plane crash of 2014 killed 41 church members, 2 missionaries and their few month old baby.
Only 1 reason can tie up all 20 points above, this God was man-made to con or control people.

Even Dalai Lama does not call himself a living Buddha and neither do other Rinpoches. It is Chinese who calls Rinpoches as Buddha ! Please do not mislead the viewers….
Rinpoche= juwel; are humans, who are reincarnation of special spiritual person who have achieved more advanced knowledges than the average humans. Time will show , if Karmapa has the same spiritual , ethical and moral values as HH Dalai Lama!

The Dalai Lama is not in the position to assign a Karmapa, because there are different lineages. He weakened the Kagyu lineage with a wrong Karmapa, accepted by the Chinese invaders.

The Kargyu sect and the Gelugpa sect are two distinctly different traditions within the Tibetan Buddhist landscape. The Kargyu have not been traditional Tibetan heads of state. The “transfer” of secular authority will not occur in the traditional way if the Gelugpa relinquish traditional leadership.
His Holiness Tensin Gyatso, the Fourteenth Dalai Lama’s successor will be chosen using an age-old method. A child will be identified as the incarnation.
Still, the Karmapa may well assume a greater gravitas globally as time passes, but this will or will not occur based on the Karmapa’s achievements independent of the seat of the Dalai Lama.
This presentation offers a view that is not generally accepted, put another way.
These are not very traditional times either though. It will likely fall to the Karampa Lama to find the next incarnation of the Dalai Lama.
@@gateauxq4604 Respectfully, the Dalai Lama is a lineage exclusive to the Gelug school. 14 Dalai Lamas have reincarnated the same student of Je Tsongkhapa- Tsongkhapa founded the Gelugpa tradition.
Your suggestion that Kargyu Buddhists will somehow claim the next reincarnation of the primary Gelug Tulku is like saying the Republicans will pick the next Democratic Presidential candidate.
Such an effort would spark controversy as the Kargyu and Gelugpa have long-standing differences (to be as circumspect about this sensitive topic as possible).
No Dalai Lama would ever presume to select the next Karmapa, and would not likely ever even consider the possibility, the idea is so remote from tradition. And the selection of the Tibetan national sacred and secular leader is as deeply traditional a process as exists for Tibetans overall.
Roughly 19 out of 20 Tibetans are adherents to the Yellow Hats, the Gelug tradition. This is another consideration when reflecting on the proposition that the Karmapa become a finder-of-Gelugpa-Tulkus.
There are four basic Tibetan Buddhist sects or schools, according to all sources: The Nyingmapa, the Sakya, the Kargyu and the Gelug traditions. Each is distinctly different from one another, as is well documented.
Surely, anything can occur in Samsara. And so there is nothing to objectively prevent any future activity. Stay healthy, practice diligently, be patient.
The Sharmapa is the one that finds the Karmapa . Tai Situ is a rogue and Jamgon Kongtrul may have been murdered .

Some things were stolen from Rumtek. It should be obvious that the Karmapa is from the Kagyu lineage but the Dalai Lama is a Gelukpa . He has no business interfering and causing division in the Kagyu order .

There is one problem with the replacing the Daiai Lama, than reincarnation of Dailai Lama. For the sake of Buddhish, the Dalai Lama can not call it quit he should lead the religion to the end of his life. The different of replacing is that he practice his beleived from youth to persuing his dream. And now it be come a political practice for the Dalai Lama himself, so these kind of pratice is very danger for ruling of the land.

Even Dalai Lama say no to Tibet independent and he knows Tibet cannot survive by itself because Tibet does not have the natural resources and the tibetian mostly monk only pray everyday and do not generate national income.

Its portrayal of a Karmapa lineage leader replacing a Gelugpa religious leader is similar to saying that one of the cardinals will be the next head of Anglican church.
Also I urge all my fellow western friends to open their eyes and mind.. the diasporic Tibetan people are in a worst condition economically and culturally than those are are still in Tibet with protected special rights- just avoid the propaganda and look at non mainstream news.. or better yet go see for yourself

My advise to Dalai Lama and Karmapa is to practice patience and compassion much longer. The form of the Atman is not relevant and the Brahman follows it’s own laws. The force of compassion will win.
Tibet was a serfdom during Dalai 14th's reign. It's on record: 2 human sacrifices in the 20th century.
