As someone who REALLY LIKED the first two chapters of this game in early access, I was colossally let down in the end. Chapters 4 & 5 are a total mess and there are several plot points that just go nowhere. Gutted 😢
Damn this really sucks. I was looking forward to it. Thanks for letting us know it’s not worth it. Can’t trust a word IGN says. Is it even worth getting on deep deep sale?
@@drgonzo123 I think on a deep sale it could be worth experiencing. The setting of the game is great (although not very big), the soundtrack rocks, a lot of the characters are well written (until it falls apart a bit), and Max is a good protagonist. I had this game at a 9/10 after the early access chapters! If you do end up getting it just temper your expectations when it comes to how they conclude the narrative, and expect to be a little confused about some of the major decisions the game asks you to make.
Ugh the fact that I went through the confusing plot as a non English speaker thinking once I catch up to the story being worth it and so good was dumb. The side characters doesn't even affect me as much, it's like it's rushed
A good game, up to chapter 3 (which is the best), Double Exposure suffers from two main flaws. 1. Witcheritis: use your 'radar' to follow the footprints, listen to conversations, go there, do that. 2 There is no bond-building: Max is friend with Safi… just because; whereas in LiS the friendship with Chloe is explained and expanded through multiple and meaningful interactions and journals, photos, dreams written on postcards, etc.
literally, i was kinda whelmed with 1&2 because they were so slow but episode 3 was amazing, 4 had its moments and then 5 was so bad. They said max will return but if this is the story to tell i dont want her to lol.
The ending is super dumb, Square Enix wants to make every game into Kingdom Hearts these days. It's not clever or interesting and removes any tension/stakes from the plot.
But kingdom hearts is awesome, not all titles of course, but 1, 2 and 3 are amazing in my opinion, as well as LIS was a lot better when dontnod made the games.
Absolutely no way this is a 9. This game was a blatant cash grab and it couldn't even do that right. Chloe Price got one of the worst character assassinations I've ever seen in gaming. But even if you don't bring that up the story in this game straight up sucks. Its a murder mystery that doesn't even have a real ending. You know what's the ending? Pay another $80 for the next game to get the conclusion to this game.
@@PricefieldPunk Chloe was always a horrible character, she was just entertaining and frustrating as a character… that’s all lol she was far from great to even be “assassinated”
So you’ve played all the chapters and beaten it? Did you play True Colors, and if so how did you feel about that? I’m trying to get a real sense of this game before I waste my money. I trust IGN as far as I can throw them, especially after that Dragon Age review.
@@drgonzo123 I know you asked someone else but hopefully I can help, True colors wasn’t bad, it has it’s moments but overall, it feels lacking in comparison to LIS 1 and 2, True colors was a beautiful looking game visually but gameplay felt lackluster, decent story & I liked Alex but still left me feeling a little empty and somewhat disappointed…
It just went downhill for me after chapter 3.. No wonder why chapters 1 & 2 were early access (even with a price attached to it). To me the game was a solid 7.5/10 or even a 8/10 during chapters 1 and 2. But after playing the entire story, its a 6/10
"Anymore"? Nothing has changed. IGN has always given high scores to pretty much every game, and then when someone there tries to do an actual review and gives a game a 6/10, they only get hate.
@@Magst3r1 because they give indie games bad reviews due to stupid reasons, Ofc indie budget cannot compete in graphics with AAA games. When a small team release a buggy game, they give it 6, big corporation release stupid as bugfest, they give it a 9. It's a sellout company.
Don'tNod is actual trash besides the first LIS. Everything else they put out is the worst thing ever. I say let a completely new studio handle any further games.

I love the life is strange series and this is just as phenomenal as the other ones in my opinion while I miss Chloe and wish they took just a bit more time in the last chapter; I loved the story and the new characters dynamic with max as well as a the new power system. people will disagree with me but I gave it a 9/10. I never thought I would say that there is a better lis game than the second one but I gotta admit that it is
I agree with you. I think that the original game is gonna be my favourite no matter what. But this is a great continuation, to an extent. Forcing chloe out the story was a tough call. I would love a game that allowed you to continue the story from choosing chloe over arcadia bay. But for now, I chose the option to say that's she died, instead of saying they broke up. Because I can't see that happening. The ending felt a little underwhelming, due to the fact nothing really had any consequences. But I am exited to see people with powers coming together. Over all it was a fun time. Loved being Max again. 8/10
Square Enix tries too hard with anything that isn’t Final Fantasy. Not everything needs to copy The Avengers universe building or the Joss Whedon constant quips. Bummer they don’t understand what made the first Life is Strange a hit with the fans.
I thought the game was excellent! I thought some things were clunky (hard to hear some dialogue sometimes). I thought the story was really engaging, the characters were very human, and the choice at the end of the game was more interesting than I had anticipated (although it was the easiest decision to make in any of the games ... which isn't a bad thing ... I was pretty locked into how my Max felt about everything at that point, lol).
SO glad to hear that DeckNine seems to understand the original... I was initially disappointed to learn that we were revisiting Max - not wanting to disturb her ending from years back - and now I can't wait to jump back into her world 🙏🏻
Deck nine does not. IGN just gives games from Big studios or publishers high scores to not upset them, fans, or other multiple reasons. This reviewer straight up lies many times and just doesn't have the media literacy to understand what's going on
Now Square Enix can produce an Accolade Trailer because so far, prominent praise for this game was scarce until IGN came out of nowhere with this 9 lol
I think objectively, this review might be as bad as your 5.9 for alien isolation, or your 9 for evolve. Or when you literally forgot to complete RE2 remake before reviewing it. Like honestly, this review is genuinely that bad- utterly horrific gaming journalism
The story seems to be straight line and anti-climax, the major importance choice also didn’t affect or impact the story or character in later chapter at all, 4-5 are short and don’t feel like the finale
@@BensyBens LiS2 is like objectively the best game in the franchise. The great thing about it is that your choices actually matter, and the endings are dynamic based on your relationship with Daniel. With LiS1, none of the decisions you make matter because either they never happened (Bay ending) or everyone who could be affected by it is dead (Bae ending).
With everything that's coming out about why IGN is biased towards certain publishers, I won't be surprised if people start coming forward about unethical behavior at the workplace.
It’s “You scratch my back, I scratch yours” methodology. If you don’t play ball with IGN, they give a bad review. But if they have something to gain, you bet yer ass you get a 9! Despite actual gamers telling you different. Honestly, I’m curious to see if RKG (formerly Prepare to Try) ever come out with stories about their time at IGN, because it seems like there was some bad blood there, but they’ve been pretty averse to speaking about it (probably don’t want to get sued or something).
nah ong that was one of the things they got spot on. especially maxes, it really captures that uncertain yet determined look she has in the first game perfectly
@notabrick7307 True, the tech has come a long way. I just noticed that some expressions (Max has a weird scrunchy-face at times) now and again we're off-putting. Maybe I'm nitpicking... Either way, I enjoyed this game less than the others in the franchise.
The way they described the previous game is completely off... LiS 1 when released was a small scale budget game with limited visuals and animations and it showed.
I was gifted this game, and as a fan of games like Detroit become human and some telltale games I thought it would be worth checking out. I got the first life is strange with that monthly PlayStation download- so I'm guessing I should probably play that one first... But since you guys are bashing it so bad is this game not really worth it? Glad I didn't have to spend money, just wondering if it's worth my time
I loved this game. I thought they improved upon true colors so much. I am on my second play through and the amount of attention to detail is incredible. The fact that this game takes life is strange 1 and improves upon our thoughts on the first game’s ending made me so happy. I was disappointed in the first game’s ending. And the ending in this game was great. I overall loved this game ❤
As someone who has a deep love for life is strange and before the storm but hasn’t played the other as I didn’t care as much for their characters and stories. Is this game worth buying to play even with all the bs? I really miss these games. Or should I give an older one a go like the life is strange 2?
@@RLPanda97 definetly do not buy it. Dont waste money, watch it on youtube. Life is Strange 2 is not about Chloe or Max but it is still good. That you can buy
This game had so much potential, especially in the first three chapters, which laid the groundwork for an incredible story that could've rivaled or even surpassed the original. Unfortunately, Deck Nine missed the mark by straying too far off course with bizarre elements, when they should have focused on a single, cohesive storyline. The core ingredients for a great story were there, but they failed to deliver. They could’ve explored several compelling ideas, like an alternate reality with an evil Max (which was introduced in the original), or the merging of two realities where Max isn’t the shooter, but appeared as so due to the two timelines overlapping. Or a deep dive into Max’s trauma after the storm and her relationship with Chloe/ Arcadia Bay. Any of these would have made for a stronger narrative without requiring major changes to what was already written. After waiting almost a decade for Max Caulfield’s return, Deck Nine didn’t live up to expectations. Fans wanted to see Max’s life after the storm, not a new character with superpowers. There was already enough to explore with Max, and introducing Safi and her powers just felt unnecessary, rushed, and uninspired. I’m not saying the game is terrible; I’d rate it a 6/10, but I can't go higher because of the missed potential. The failure to properly reintroduce Chloe and show her development, the confusing and bizarre explanation of Safi's involvement in the storm, the recycled plot points from the original that felt lazy, and the unresolved case of detective Alderman.
For me, I loved it, heres my opinions. 1. I think it really matters if you choose to save Chloe. I didn't save her, and it worked. With her just leaving you, just dont seem to sit well for me. 2. Bits seemed a bit glitchy here and there. Don’t ruin it. 3. I kinda wish there was a better reason for he og powers going. I dont know how she will use her new powers in future games. 4. (Spoiler) I do love the idea or finding others. 5. (Spoiler) I'm glad it didn't repeat the 1st game. 6. For parts of the game, it felt more of a TV show that you control rather than a game. Which isn’t a bad thing for what this game is. Overall, I think if you like the old games, play this one. I think ( I hope at least) what is to come of these games will make or break them. It's interesting, and I want to know what's next.
I'm only into the early part of chapter 2 but from a lis fan (I have a playlist to prove it) I can honestly say from what I've played so far, it's the worst of the franchise for me! Hopefully things pick up & get better but honestly just not enjoyed it as yet!
Although I had high hopes for this title, I found it to be deeply disappointing and lacking in quality. Consequently, I requested a refund. In comparison, Life is Strange: True Colors was a far superior game. Regrettably, this particular game fell short of expectations and was, unfortunately, quite cringeworthy.
Everyone is way too serious. It was a fun game that does well with showing emotions. Max is an amazing character & while a do have some complaints with the game I still give it an 8.7 which is really good
I loved the game…Time line jumping and multiple realities (quantum physics, quantum mechanics) is fairly new. I quite liked the openness to it. As tech progresses people will appreciate what the game tried to deliver. Give it a few years ❤
I had to check review and media over this game only after playing the game as i wanted my own unbiased opinion to be made and i gotta say... Totally agree with this review tbh over all the hater ones going around! Honestly, this is one of those times where the haters literally make no sense to me kinda like with how they burried cyberpunk and literally ruined a potential beast of an experience for us. Only thing i can understand from haters is that chloe really does leave a huge gap, sure but, its really felt in the same way Max feels it and thats something admirable to manage in a game. I found myself constantly wishing chloe would just come over or text and saw Max go through that as well bringing me closer to her emotional journey in a way i've never had happen in a game since the last of us part one! Stop trying so hard to hate everything for the sake of hating it people and go into it with an open mind 🤷.
I paid 44$ for this, and this money ain't cheap in my country, the only moment when you can give this game a 9 is when the price decreased by half. I like the first 3 games, but True Colors and this one made me disappointed. I think Square Enix made a mistake when they pissed off Don't Nod and left a whole ass mess like this
Looks good. Initially I wasn't a fan of Max's new design; she looks too well put together rather than scrawny and nerdy...but I've gotten used it over the weeks of marketing. Definitely looking to play this soon.
This game is decent, but for a whole other audience. Barely any of the DONTNOD life is strange fans play the new ones. So the fact IGN gave this shit a 9/10 makes me 100% believe this is BS.
I loved the original Life is Strange. Played the second one and found it really dumb in terms of story compared with the first one. That's when I lost interest in the series. I'm still curious about the third one and this new chapter but will try them out only when they're on super discount.
the original LIS was already pretty edgy and cringe in 2015, but I could tolerant back then, and the story was good. But writing like this in 2024 is just too much for me.
SPOILERS WARNING MAJOR SPPOILERSS Long time Life is Strange fan. This game was an amazing experience I never thought I would get.. Another game as MAX. The nostalgia and emotion it gave me.. And beautiful Max and Safi's relationship is... And they *nailed* it with Safi in the beginning. I WAS IN LOVE WITH HER immediately. Then... She disappoints. Which of course I knew something would happen because in Life is Strange, no one is who you think they are... The ending Safi leaves... Max stays to reveal her powers to her friends and colleagues who had all been effected by the traumatic disasters of Safi's powers. (Turns out Safi has powers as well) It broke my heart when Safi left, clearly not a happy-go lucky- do the right thing- girl, but she left bitter, full of hate. So. Sad, She is SUCH a beautiful soul. So it was so painful to have to end the game on such a negative note for her... BUT there is some comforting news after the credits..... SAFI comes back and notices Diamond (another character) has powers as well (which I was theorizing btw during my playthrough lol) And Safi RECRUITS Diamond to run away being a power team.... AND SAFI DOESNT TAKE MAX... THAT MADE ME SO MAD I CANT EVEN DESCRIBE.... BUT THE COMFORTING NEWS IS THAT There is Text at the VERY END of the game that says "MAX CAULFIELD WILL RETURN" So, its basically guaranteed Max, AND BEAUTIFUL SAFI will be back in another game... SO I CAN live peacefully for now I suppose........ Ugh I just don't know how to feel......
Usually i would see a slightly lower score. Unless the game is really good, i could see a 9. However, based other game reviews, this score isnt really do the game justice.
@@MarkyMarcSpector the first one was definitely good. It obviously got old a bit because of the game being about teenagers, their slang etc is mostly cringe today, but I guess it adds some charm and nostalgia too. The story is still good though, for sure, it's great
What turns ppl off is it's not a "game" it's a interactive TV show or movie that you decide what happens. First L.I.S hits hard in the feels. Love the characters and storyline. Got me into other episodic games like Wolf among us and Tales from the borderlands. Both Masterpieces 🐺
Ah yes, the classic "I don't agree with this review therefore it must be paid for" narrative. People who actually believe that are a special kind of stupid.
We reached the point where either mediocrity and bad storytelling is valued as something good, or this is just another paid review. But I reckon both is the right answer.
I was extremely stoked to play and it was perfect fine game til chapters 4&5. All the good work, performance and story line went to downhill. I kinda wish i undone played 4&5 😅 I feel like, Im upset that Deck9 ruined the such a good game in my life. Superpowers? Come on… since when LiS is about superhero Too sad to see they are turning into cash cow Although, i loved the upgraded graphics, lots of hilarious lines which made me laugh, many interesting to do and see. It was good to see Max again
I find it strange that a lot of dudes with "XY Chromosomes" are on here criticizing a game that was clearly made for "XX Chromosomes" this is like some dude reviewing the movie "Magic Mike" saying they were uncomfortable with all the shirtless men dancing. 😆
I didn't like it :/ or well, I still don't know what to think, but I have a lot of points: 1. First I found it very annoying that there were so few scenarios. I know that it wasn't going to be comparable to the ones in the LIS 2 (because each chapter was a marvel, exploring so many places), but even in the first game, there were too many places to explore and advance in the story, even the Blackwell University scenario had many more places than everything seen in LIS Double Exposure, even the True Colors had much more to do in the town. 2. I felt that they recycled the plot a bit, with all that Safi and Maya stuff, very Chloe and Rachel-like, but with a plot twist to Safi's character, which I did like. 3. I don't know, sometimes I felt like the story had no direction, and at times it got really boring, plus a lot of subplots felt pointless, or they just suddenly threw in things that didn't make sense (for them to make sense you had to find certain collectibles). So many interesting parts and others that didn't make sense at all. It was weird. 4. The whole Chloe thing was pretty ironic to me, especially if you decided she was alive. I didn't expect to see her, in fact, I even wondered how they would do the story if Chloe was alive, because Max would be there and not with her, but I think at least that part was handled well. It made sense to me, Chloe was pretty much an idiot to Max, I wasn't surprised that she left her despite everything. 5. Other things that threw me off was that it turns out that Blackwell was a high school, I was like wtf, when in the first game it is made very clear that it is a university, even Max is already 18, she is supposed to be in college already. In addition to the fact that she mentions that she and Chloe studied high school together, which in any case is a lie and nonsense because, they never studied together at Blackwell, and even assuming that Blackwell was a high school, Max was not even in Arcadia Bay, she was still in Seattle 😭 she finished high school at 17, at 18 she was already in college at Blackwell. 6. The ending was too anticlimactic, the truth is that the chapter was very interesting, until you get back to Safi. It didn't give me any kind of strong emotion like the first two games did, even the bts one seemed more emotional to me. I knew it was going to be hard to make something as perfect as the first and second (which is my favorite), and I didn't expect them to surpass it, because the second one really set the bar too high for me. I think I was expecting something that would emotionally destroy me and leave me crying like the Díaz brothers, or make me tear like Max and Chloe's story, or at least make me feel sorry and sad for what happened to Alex and his family, but no. It lacked too much feeling, I didn't care if anything happened to the characters besides Max 😭 the only ones I liked were Moses, Vihn and a little bit of Safi (which seemed to me like Chloe, only with powers), from there on they could all go to hell and I wouldn't feel anything, which is surprising because you would expect that to plah with all those characters for 5 chapters you would have to feel something, and be affected if something happened to them or you behaved badly with them, but even in LIS 2 where in each chapter you met new people, I felt more connection with all of them that you only saw for one chapter (and I don't mean just that I liked them, but even that I hated or detested them) compared to all the characters in LIS DE, god, really nothing, not a feeling for them, not even dislike. It was nothing, which is worse. It lacked too much feeling. 7. It could have been shorter, and that's even though it actually seemed to me to be the shortest game in the series (not counting BTS). I imagine that's why they put in so much filler, otherwise the game would have been even shorter. 8. I didn't really feel the consequences of the decisions I made. I feel like everything would have happened the same in the main plot no matter what I did. Unlike the other games where even very small decisions could completely change the attitudes and even actions of the affected characters. In some cases, some more than others. Of course I didn't expect it to be as drastic as in 2, where you could literally make Daniel a good, obedient child or a rebellious and rude one (and to a certain point you couldn't intervene in his own decisions, because he took total autonomy of his actions depending on how you left him, and that obviously affected your options for possible endings quite a bit), but at least it was like in 1, where you could feel how things changed depending on what you decided, even if they were small changes. Not all of them are bad things, what I at least liked was: 8. It feels like the same Max. Retains everything about her, but with more traumas and also maturity, clearly older. 9. It has some very good plot twists, at least I grant it that, since the ones in Colors seemed crap to me. That thing about Safi and her power was great. 10. It's entertaining. Although I think it's a deception, at least you don't get bored playing it (only a few parts of the first and second chapter), compared to, for example, Colors, which seemed like a tremendous sleeping pill (the first two entire chapters, and half of the third, the rest were fine). 11. I liked the romance options (well, just the one with Vhin). LOL, the truth is that it's not much, but in my opinion the saga handles some terrible romances, none of the potential love interests from the other games pleased me, the only exception is Colors, where the two romantic options seemed cute and genuine to me (and that's the only good thing about that game along with the soundtrack). 12. Well, it has a good soundtrack. I thought it lacked something of that, which was strange because now the whole saga has excellent music, and it really immerses you. But at least some songs were cool. The truth is that since Deck Nine took control, I feel that they haven't been able to take the essence of the saga, which is not just a pretty game with beautiful settings, but an entire emotional plot that envelops you and makes your eyes tear. I think I'll give it a 7/10. Compared to the first and second games, which I replayed so many times, and I still do from time to time (especially the second one, I love to replay it during Christmas time), I don't think I'll play it again, and it's a good thing I bought it with a shared count because it would have been a pain to spend $64 USD and not play it again. At least I can say that it's an improvement over True Colors, because that one was awful to me. I hope the next one is as good as the first two :/ and that Max comes back with a game that does it justice. Btw sorry if I write something wrong, english it's not my first language 😅
For me LiS1 and BtS are the best story games on the planet. I played DE now 15 Hours straight. It was good, no disappointment. This Game makes Max to one of the greatest Game characters ever. But nearly every other new characters was mehhh. I would love to have more Characters from Acadia Bay. I would give it a 8/10.
Wow, you're so special another day where a normie cries that they don't trust ign reviews yet they watch all their videos and comment on all their videos.
This game has nothing on the first game, the writing, dialog and choices were mid. The lack of locations got pretty boring and no more rewind power?! Imo the rewind power was the most fun out of all of the life is strange games. Plus I just didn't feel for the characters in this one. It's an okay game, I'm only giving it 1 play through. The first game I played it multiple times going through all choices. The original devs were amazing
This game was not a 9. It was a 3. It was not worth the $50. The characters weren’t likable, the story is a mess, no matter what decision you choose that you get the same outcome. Oh and if you decided to save Chloe from the first game, she “breaks up” with you and you only see her in a text message conversation. The only redeeming qualities were the graphics and the music. Such a disappointing game.
It is so weird to me seeing people hate this one, I've been a fan since the first one and really loved this one, the worst one is still LiS 2 by a mile
Even when you gave Sonic x Shadow Generations a 9 I still don't trust you, and now you gave Dragon Age veilguard and this a 9/10 too? This is cleary a set up
Yeah this game was repetitive and didn't have any of that nice yet melancholy feelings that the first one provided. The game felt empty. It felt like there were about 6 people in the entire world.
This game was different from the original. The people felt more like people and not always just stereotypes they tried to make deeper. Except the cop. He was just an average dickhead cop. Moses was a great character. However I feel this also made them less memorable. The original had you make choices that affected the story until the last binary decision in the end. This game is a bit more blunt about the fact that you're going to end up having to make a polarizing decision in the end and most of your decision really don't matter in the end. It make the game feel different not better or worse but different. However the biggest thing missing is nostalgia. Not in the sense of going back and playing an old game but more in the way that most of the locations in the first game with the coupling of characters based on stereotypes about Americans and the art style which dispite running in 1080 look like the game was made at the end of the ps2 life cycle. This game goes for a more polished and vibrant look because Max is actually the main character in this title. Dispite the first game being seen through Max's eyes it's from Chloe's perspective which is where the stereotypes come in. Chloesers the world in black and white but Max doesn't. She can see things and think about them and therefore see them more clearly. This can at times make the game a little boring because Max doesn't seek te escalate everything like Chloe does. To put it really short the people who didn't like this game don't like Max. They played the original and Before the Storm for Chloe who's an interesting character in her own right but I feel like a few people who didn't like the first game might like this one

Some would say the devs screwed Chloe. Chloe screwed Chloe.
It just went downhill for me after chapter 3.. No wonder why chapters 1 & 2 were early access (even with a price attached to it). To me the game was a solid 7.5/10 or even a 8/10 during chapters 1 and 2. But after playing the entire story, its a 6/10

Season Two was inconsistent but also really good! The episode with the cult was daaaaaaaaaark.
Nah.. not trusting your reviews anymore.
Then why go to their website and watch a review? Just curious
"Anymore"? Nothing has changed. IGN has always given high scores to pretty much every game, and then when someone there tries to do an actual review and gives a game a 6/10, they only get hate.

@ absolutely plus that ending when the said max’s story ain’t over gave me had hyped
Square Enix tries too hard with anything that isn’t Final Fantasy. Not everything needs to copy The Avengers universe building or the Joss Whedon constant quips. Bummer they don’t understand what made the first Life is Strange a hit with the fans.
this is nothing like Joss Whedon.
Square is just the publisher they have nothing to do with the development of this game lol

Good for you? Maybe you can start forming your own opinions on games instead of depending on a reviewer to make them for you.
Yet here u are 😅
You should be sorry.
Why? There just giving people their opinion lol
Why are you here then?
I thought the game was excellent! I thought some things were clunky (hard to hear some dialogue sometimes). I thought the story was really engaging, the characters were very human, and the choice at the end of the game was more interesting than I had anticipated (although it was the easiest decision to make in any of the games ... which isn't a bad thing ... I was pretty locked into how my Max felt about everything at that point, lol).
There are so many games getting high reviews now I feel confused are they really good.
Like honestly, this review is genuinely that bad- utterly horrific gaming journalism
why is it bad?
5.9 is good
Evolve was actually a really amazing game despite the lack of content.
It was a 8 at the least.
@@Magst3r1alien isolation is a solid 9 for any true fan of the series would agree
They could have made this game better by adding Chloe in the living world.
The story seems to be straight line and anti-climax, the major importance choice also didn’t affect or impact the story or character in later chapter at all, 4-5 are short and don’t feel like the finale
@@Arachap_tpd you're so real for that I swear it feels like so rushed at the end it's so sad

which community is that
I got offended back in LiS2019 (refuse to call it 2 because it’s not a sequel to 1)
You're probably more obsessed with that than "that community"
@@BensyBens LiS2 is like objectively the best game in the franchise. The great thing about it is that your choices actually matter, and the endings are dynamic based on your relationship with Daniel. With LiS1, none of the decisions you make matter because either they never happened (Bay ending) or everyone who could be affected by it is dead (Bae ending).
Ign is that community bro 😂
Anyone else feel like the facial animations were off at times?
nah ong that was one of the things they got spot on. especially maxes, it really captures that uncertain yet determined look she has in the first game perfectly
@notabrick7307 True, the tech has come a long way. I just noticed that some expressions (Max has a weird scrunchy-face at times) now and again we're off-putting. Maybe I'm nitpicking... Either way, I enjoyed this game less than the others in the franchise.
Joseph Anderson just perked his ears up
The way they described the previous game is completely off... LiS 1 when released was a small scale budget game with limited visuals and animations and it showed.

Why are there still chapters when everything is released as a single game?
As someone who has a deep love for life is strange and before the storm but hasn’t played the other as I didn’t care as much for their characters and stories. Is this game worth buying to play even with all the bs? I really miss these games. Or should I give an older one a go like the life is strange 2?
@@RLPanda97 definetly do not buy it. Dont waste money, watch it on youtube. Life is Strange 2 is not about Chloe or Max but it is still good. That you can buy
Definitely go for LiS 2 and skip this one entirely. You're welcome 🙂
The original Life is strange was so damn cool. I enjoyed playing every second of the game
Give it a few years ❤
the go LIS and True Colors were brilliant to me so I can’t wait to get started on this one.
Just finished the game it’s not as good as the original but I still enjoyed it
I had to check review and media over this game only after playing the game as i wanted my own unbiased opinion to be made and i gotta say...
Was happy to see max back in action. It's too bad the last few episodes didn't quite hit the mark.
I think I'll wait until this game goes on sale to buy it I heard it's not that good compared to original LIS it's not worth 50$ in my opinion
Even people that liked it didn’t like it *that* much. No way this is a 9. People saying they liked it say they’d give it a 7.5, which is, what? A C+?
the original LIS was already pretty edgy and cringe in 2015, but I could tolerant back then, and the story was good.
But writing like this in 2024 is just too much for me.
SPOILERS WARNING MAJOR SPPOILERSS
Long time Life is Strange fan. BUT THE COMFORTING NEWS IS THAT There is Text at the VERY END of the game that says
"MAX CAULFIELD WILL RETURN"
So, its basically guaranteed Max, AND BEAUTIFUL SAFI will be back in another game... SO I CAN live peacefully for now I suppose........ Ugh I just don't know how to feel......
I finished it yesterday. Definitely agree with the 9. The end was absolutely mindblowing lol! Really curious about what happens next!
Usually i would see a slightly lower score. Unless the game is really good, i could see a 9. However, based other game reviews, this score isnt really do the game justice.

Never diverted an opinion of mine so hard from ign reviews than this one. Done with ign
I didn't like it :/ or well, I still don't know what to think, but I have a lot of points:
Not all of them are bad things, what I at least liked was:

Even when you gave Sonic x Shadow Generations a 9 I still don't trust you, and now you gave Dragon Age veilguard and this a 9/10 too? This is cleary a set up
Haven't they gave the new CoD also a 9? Maybe this is their new 7!
