    My jaw hit the floor with the panorama of the tree and island. Stunning colors, lovely perspective, interesting layers. It was a powerful story. Thanks for sharing the journey. ( it was very cool how the town turned off the lights during the auroral show.)

    THIS is incredible!! As a child I was fortunate to see the northern lights in northern Minnesota USA and have never forgot that experience. My dream now in my old age to see them once again and be able to photograph them!! You and your Dad's images are so incredibly good. I wish I could have been there with you!!! Thanks for sharing your video!!

    Man I loved this. When you said you were going to beat last year's Svalbard series I thought to myself, "No chance" but I was wrong. No one does the epic photo trip better than you mate, brilliant! The photographs in this video were superb and complemented your wonderful story telling perfectly. Excellent work.

    Spectacular! You’ve really set the scene well for what I’m sure will be a great series! The shot at 12:26 really stood out for me - the way the mountain peak and the ‘wave’ of the aurora complemented each other was perfect.

    • @RichardLefroy
      @RichardLefroy 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh yeah - after all those northern lights I forgot all about the island at the start! Great choice to go for a pano with a long lens - love the way it compresses the mountains and tree/island. Worked really really well :)

    • @oddbjrnaustevikfoto
      @oddbjrnaustevikfoto  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers buddy! I definitely had the "best" conditions the first day up there! Most of the trip was Tassie-like, as in wet!
      Yes, that island is really growing on me, as do the format panorama. There are so many ways to experience with that format and I feel I'm barely scratching the surface! Looking forward to experience more :) Thanks again!

    In my neck of the woods, I don't see much in the way of snow, super-cold temperatures, or northern lights, so this first installment of your Lofoten adventure is a treat to watch. By the way, you and your father both captured some wonderful images.

    Wow... this was truly spectacular Oddbjorn, I’ve been looking forward to watching this and it really didn’t disappoint! Those aurora shots were amazing! Thanks a lot Sam! I'm quite pleased with those auroras. The moonlight helped ALOT with lighting the scene, given that I shoot with a less light sensitive censor :) Already looking forward to my next visit to Lofoten (hopefully soon)! Thanks again!

    Beautiful place and beautiful work. I really love panoramas so I enjoy seeing what you shot. The first panorama was my favourite but I think I would have preferred a long exposure for the sea. Otherwise it was really nice.

    Enda en riktig god video. Liker kombinasjonen av musikk, bilder og stemme. Likt også panorama i begynnelse. Det er nok slik du sa i video at det finnes utrolig mange komposisjoner, av og til kan man bli blind av det og man dra hjem uten bilder i det hele tatt. I forhold til nordlyset synes jeg at timelapse fungerer bedre enn video, men det hjelper deg iikke i dag. @ 11:06 har du sett den sovende trollen? Hilsen Jörg

    • @oddbjrnaustevikfoto
      @oddbjrnaustevikfoto  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tusen takk Jørg! Ja, er helt enig mtp timelapse, men alt skjedde så fort at jeg brukte video for å ikke gå glipp av showet, det minuttet jeg hadde brukt å sette det opp hadde nok resultert i at jeg ikke fikk det med meg :) Men neste gang vil jeg lage timelapse! Haha, nei, men jeg ser trollet nå :) tøft!
