I'm looking at it as a multiverse arkham verse. What I mean when I say that is Asylum/City/Knight were a separate universe, and this is just an nearly identical one that went bad in the end. There is no way i'm letting them end my Batman like that.. but I'm still gonna enjoy this game as it's own thing, cause I love the co-op gameplay, and being villains in this beautiful Metropolis, just many things with the story that are poor choices... It's just a WHAT IF crazy ending that no one ever wanted, but cool to experience as the bad guys kicking JL azz... I mean if you want to play as villains you want to beat the JL.. just feels disrespectful to the league.. Just mind boggling they would ever willingly choose to do this. They better have free DLC in their endgame stuff with Conroy, and the JL saved for us where they return or something.. That would make all this not so bad.. I don't see how they could think any fan of Conroy Arkham Batman would be anything but furious with this ending. Almost seems deliberately crafted to anger us. I wouldve liked a security cam footage of both how the league lost to Braniac and the Robin Batman fight and hell anything that happened prior to the game! The battle with the sinestro corp sounds 100x more entertaining than this game
The high-pitched laughs at 52:00 blended into the background with the somber piano keys feel somewhat like a taunt from the new developers at Rocksteady towards longtime Batman Arkham aficionados. I can’t believe this is how the Arkham Batman died, how it actually happened. I’m very concerned about any and all “AAA” DC games going forward under Zaslav’s WB, starting with Monolith’s Wonder Woman.
Looks like they nerfed the JL a lot. He got killed by 3 regular humans and a shark man with guns. The same guy who defeated and arrested the most notorious rogues gallery in one night, died on a park bench by Quinn.
I really dont think they were familiar with the entire Arkhamverse story, the way Harley is presented as someone with a streak of good in her when in the previous established storys she is nothing short of pure evil. She helped Joker poison a 5 year old with TITAN. She willingly patners with him, and after his death she is so devotedly in love with Joker she wants nothing more than to kill those responsible and keep his ideals going. In this game she is this anti hero with a moral high ground over the heros. She is completely different when its meant to be the same character

Spoilers . . . . . He's not dead in fact neither of the other justice league members They will return in the dlc seasons coming out later this year. Starting with the first season coming out this march till the fourth season coming out this December
but...that's not confirmed. It's more likely that all the added characters are villains. the 4 leaked/rumored DLC seasons/characters are set to be: 1. Alternate-Joker (first rumored now confirmed, coming in March) 2. Victoria Fries. (likely a female 'Mr.Freeze') 3. Lawless (a member of this team from World War 2) 4. Deathstroke Two-Face and Scarecrow will be added as boss characters. + more Riddler content. yet, If heroes do show up as playable characters they'll likely be like Joker. not the 'Arkham Joker' but a playable alternate reality Joker. so expect a Batman from a world where he's a member of this team. possibly not voiced by Conroy. possibly fine with using guns. possibly a villain as well. however. all the rumors and leaks suggest this is a 100% villain-themed game. Don't expect more of Batman or Kevin Conroy. and that would mean this is indeed the end of 'Arkham-Batman' I'll gladly be wrong. we'll see when all the DLC is out this December...
I have a head canon that the Justice League were holding back, that they were self aware mentally but not in control. In that situation at least, as Harley says, Batman would’ve wanted to die. He couldn’t live with himself after seeing just how many he murdered. But with all games nowadays, I guess we’ll have to wait and see…

They really made the batcave, with a four-armor display, and put the same suit from this game four times instead of, I don't know, using the four suits from the other four games in the series? Just a nitpick, but this game makes a lot of little/big unnecessary mistakes. I'd argue the arkham batman is the best known and/or most loved iteration of the character, and if they were to kill him off, no matter how underdeveloped it turned out to be, it wouldn't hurt to make it count, a true celebration of the series.

I think what’s more disrespectful is having Batman kill. If Rocksteady cared about the integrity of their Batman, they should’ve given him Wonder Woman’s role in the game. In the comics, Batman was always the one to escape any sort of invasion or mind control because of how prepared and strategic he is.

Im sorry but the batman boss should have been more like this part of the game 6:00 Batman using gadgets like the explosive gel, baterangs, grapple hook and other gadgets like we would in predator sections to take out the suicide squad 1 by 1!
Not even 1 by 1 , they could have the entire suicide squad be hunted all at once and batman could try to single them out one by one using his gadgets to create blind spots and you only survive if another player is watching your back
Would’ve been cool if the suppressed joker personality came out to fight against the brainiac mind control. Like he would still be evil but would be helping the squad and could have a final fight against him when he betrays you after beating brainiac.
The funny thing is that in Italy the most famous voice actor that dubs Batman in italian (he started dubbing him from The Animated Series and he’s basically the counterpart of Kevin for italians and he dubbed all of the Arkham games) didn’t partecipate in this game, so my head is at ease knowing that this is more and more not canon to REAL story

I think if this game should have been a Bat Family based game rather than a Suicide Squad game. Here's my pitch, while Batman is mind controlled, Wonder Woman would have gone to the Bat Family for help regarding the Leagure since she was aware of Batman's contengency plans. Nightwing could become the new Batman while Bruce is mind controlled, Jason could help survivors and stop crime using lethal justice, and Tim, Barbara, and Alfred could figure out how the heck to snap Bruce from mind control. There could even be a subplot about how the rest of the Bat Family want to step up more but struggle to handle his legacy. It could even be revealed that maybe when Bruce faked his own death, he had actually planned to leave Gotham and spend a happy life with Selena but was afraid of what would happen Gotham and the Bat Family if he left, leading to the Bat Family feeling guilty for preventing Bruce for living his own life. Eventually, when Tim and Barbara tell Diana how to free Batman, the whole Bat Family come to fight Batman and snap him out of it (Would be cool if Barbara donned the Batgirl suit one last time ,but I would understand if she didn't), revealing how Batman helped them out in their lives. Eventually, when all of the game's events are done, Bruce realizes that Gotham is in safe hands and that his family is grown up. He gives Nightwing his blessing to remain to be Batman. He apologizes to Jason about how Bruce left him with Joker and how proud Bruce was that Jason helped people in his absence. He thanks Tim and Barbara for sticking be him even at his lowest. He says goodbye to Alfred and thanks him for being his father when no one else was there. He maybe even goes to the recesses of his mind and makes peace with Joker, stating that he did not like Joker's methods but Joker is one of the biggest reasons that Batman has evolved from a crime fight to a symbol. Joker then tells Bruce that they'll meet someday again and for him to be ready before disappearing with a chilling echo of laughter. He then asks Diana and Clark to look after the Bat Family while he starts a new life with Selena. We cut to a year later to a Bruce overlooking a large city on a rooftop at night. Selena comes by and jokes that Bruce is reliving the old days. Bruce states that the old days were fun, and there is nothing he would trade them for. However, he looks forward to a new horizon, with the screen panning to a very pregnant Selena. The two overlook the city one last time before the camera goes up to the night sky full of stars with the screen reading this, "Thank you Kevin for everything and more" Sorry this is so long. I just had a lot to say in this area. Anyway I hope you guys enjoyed my take on it.

It's more Batman based since this is the Arkham series When the Justice League is invited to the ship and mind controlled, Batman is the first to snap out of it due to his experience under similar mind control devices like Scarecrow's fear toxin. He would then escape to the Batcave and gather the rest of the Bat-Family to help stop the Justice League by using the BABEL protocols. These protocols would also come in the form of new upgrades to his suit like a speed generator to fight Flash or a yellow lantern ring to fight John but nothing to crazy. In his quest, he meets the Suicide Squad and Waller who want to kill the League as the League is too dangerous. Bruce refuses since they are his friends and because he regrets killing Joker. As for the rest of the family, they are playable as well as they will help evacuate civilians, help figure out how to deactivate mind control and even stop a few teen titans members who have also fallen under Brainiac's control. There could even be a subplot about how the rest of the Bat Family want to step up more but struggle to handle his legacy. It could even be revealed that maybe when Bruce faked his own death, he had actually planned to leave Gotham and spend a happy life with Selena but was afraid of what would happen Gotham and the Bat Family if he left, leading to the Bat Family feeling guilty for preventing Bruce for living his own life. Eventually, after defeating the League, Batman confronts Brainiac, who tries to mind control him again. Joker reveals that, when Brainiac tried to take over Batman's mind, he accidently freed Joker from Batman's mind and caused Joker to take over Brainiac's mind. Joker wants a run back to try to get Batman to turn into a killer as Joker sees the whole Titan incident as Batman killing by accident. So, Joker enacts what he calls his, "final joke," in which he mind controls all of Batman's villains to reek havoc on the world. Joker sends Batman back to the Batcave in order to be prepared to "let him prepare before the big show." Batman explains the whole thing to the Bat family and the Justice League as more of Batman's villains destroy the Justice League's home cities. The League explains that when Brainiac took over their minds, he also found out about all of their weaknesses due to study. This means the only person able to stop Joker is Batman since Brainiac's mind control tech failed on him so Brainiac wasn't able to study him. Batman comes up with a plan but will need the League's help with it. The Bat Family first helps the respective League member defeat one of his rogues in the member's repsective city and gathers the respective materials needed for Batman's plan. However, Joker reveals that he expected this and that the final joke isn't the villains but rather Batman himself. Joker plans to use Brainiac's weapons to destroy the world unless Batman stops him. After all is done, Batman reveals that he is going to fight Joker since he knows Joker best and because Brainiac doesn't have any files on Batman's weaknesses. Superman comes in to reveal that he finished forging Batman's new suit: the Hellbat. Batman uses the Hellbat to confront Joker Brainiac, and the two fight. Joker gains the upperhand since he knows Batman's fighting patterns. When all is lost, Batman gets knocked out but a vision of his parents appears before him. They tell him that they are proud of him and want him to keep fighting. Just when Joker is about destroy the world, Batman gets up and punches him in the face. The onsuing battle leads them to get teleported across the whole world, finally landing in Arkham City during a massive rainstorm. Disconnected from Brainiac's technology on the ship, Joker is just an ordinary man smiliar to Batman. In addition, the Hellbat armor gets destroyed during the ensuing battle. Batman and Joker decide to finish the fight mano a mano. During the fight, the player gets quicktime events with a quote under it similarly like the finall battle in Tekken 8. Each dialouge comes with a flashback to events in the previous game, with the last quote being "I am..." with Bruce saying "I am BATMAN." Batman defeats Joker and is able to disable the weapon without killing him, ending the conflict. Eventually, when all of the game's events are done, Bruce realizes that Gotham is in safe hands and that his family is grown up. He gives Nightwing his blessing to remain to be Batman. Doing something just for shock values sake is pathetic and Rocksteady should be ashamed. They tried to pay homage in the beginning to what made them a big studio in the first place but then ended up making a parody of it. They executed him😢 in the most disrespectful way possible. Unacceptable.
This is made for all of the “new” DC fans and even marvel fans they’ve been trying to make these past five or more years. The ones they’re trying to get with the “modern” twist on everything. “It’s our time now” is legit something someone from Sweet Baby Inc wrote in I swear it.
It’s this entire woke agenda. I’ve heard from people who interviewed with the new rocksteady that part of the interview the question was asked “so why should we kill Batman“ and another question “so why do you hate Batman“. And this person said he was coming fused with the premise of the question, but the interviewers were insistent, that Batman was part of a dying Legacy.
Not a weird feeling at all. I hope within 6-12 months we're seeing news similar to what happened with Volition and Rocksteady is shut down and everyone laid off.

I really dont think they were familiar with the entire Arkhamverse story, the way Harley is presented as someone with a streak of good in her when in the previous established storys she is nothing short of pure evil. She helped Joker poison a 5 year old with TITAN. She willingly patners with him, and after his death she is so devotedly in love with Joker she wants nothing more than to kill those responsible and keep his ideals going. In this game she is this anti hero with a moral high ground over the heros. She is completely different when its meant to be the same character

I'd argue the arkham batman is the best known and/or most loved iteration of the character, and if they were to kill him off, no matter how underdeveloped it turned out to be, it wouldn't hurt to make it count, a true celebration of the series.

I think what’s more disrespectful is having Batman kill. If Rocksteady cared about the integrity of their Batman, they should’ve given him Wonder Woman’s role in the game. In the comics, Batman was always the one to escape any sort of invasion or mind control because of how prepared and strategic he is.

I think if this game should have been a Bat Family based game rather than a Suicide Squad game. Here's my pitch, while Batman is mind controlled, Wonder Woman would have gone to the Bat Family for help regarding the Leagure since she was aware of Batman's contengency plans. Nightwing could become the new Batman while Bruce is mind controlled, Jason could help survivors and stop crime using lethal justice, and Tim, Barbara, and Alfred could figure out how the heck to snap Bruce from mind control. There could even be a subplot about how the rest of the Bat Family want to step up more but struggle to handle his legacy. It could even be revealed that maybe when Bruce faked his own death, he had actually planned to leave Gotham and spend a happy life with Selena but was afraid of what would happen Gotham and the Bat Family if he left, leading to the Bat Family feeling guilty for preventing Bruce for living his own life.
Eventually, when Tim and Barbara tell Diana how to free Batman, the whole Bat Family come to fight Batman and snap him out of it (Would be cool if Barbara donned the Batgirl suit one last time ,but I would understand if she didn't), revealing how Batman helped them out in their lives.
Eventually, when all of the game's events are done, Bruce realizes that Gotham is in safe hands and that his family is grown up. He gives Nightwing his blessing to remain to be Batman. He apologizes to Jason about how Bruce left him with Joker and how proud Bruce was that Jason helped people in his absence. He thanks Tim and Barbara for sticking be him even at his lowest. He says goodbye to Alfred and thanks him for being his father when no one else was there. He maybe even goes to the recesses of his mind and makes peace with Joker, stating that he did not like Joker's methods but Joker is one of the biggest reasons that Batman has evolved from a crime fight to a symbol. Joker then tells Bruce that they'll meet someday again and for him to be ready before disappearing with a chilling echo of laughter. He then asks Diana and Clark to look after the Bat Family while he starts a new life with Selena.
We cut to a year later to a Bruce overlooking a large city on a rooftop at night. Selena comes by and jokes that Bruce is reliving the old days. Bruce states that the old days were fun, and there is nothing he would trade them for. However, he looks forward to a new horizon, with the screen panning to a very pregnant Selena.
The two overlook the city one last time before the camera goes up to the night sky full of stars with the screen reading this,
"Thank you Kevin for everything and more"

When the Justice League is invited to the ship and mind controlled, Batman is the first to snap out of it due to his experience under similar mind control devices like Scarecrow's fear toxin. He would then escape to the Batcave and gather the rest of the Bat-Family to help stop the Justice League by using the BABEL protocols. These protocols would also come in the form of new upgrades to his suit like a speed generator to fight Flash or a yellow lantern ring to fight John but nothing to crazy. In his quest, he meets the Suicide Squad and Waller who want to kill the League as the League is too dangerous. Bruce refuses since they are his friends and because he regrets killing Joker. As for the rest of the family, they are playable as well as they will help evacuate civilians, help figure out how to deactivate mind control and even stop a few teen titans members who have also fallen under Brainiac's control. There could even be a subplot about how the rest of the Bat Family want to step up more but struggle to handle his legacy. It could even be revealed that maybe when Bruce faked his own death, he had actually planned to leave Gotham and spend a happy life with Selena but was afraid of what would happen Gotham and the Bat Family if he left, leading to the Bat Family feeling guilty for preventing Bruce for living his own life.
Eventually, after defeating the League, Batman confronts Brainiac, who tries to mind control him again. Bruce is then transported to an illusion where his parents are alive and he is married to Selina. However, he snaps out of it when he realizes its a dream. However, just when he is about to defeat Brainiac, Brainiac starts laughing manically and calls Bruce "Batsy." Brainiac's eyes start to glow green and his face turns into that of the Joker.
Joker reveals that, when Brainiac tried to take over Batman's mind, he accidently freed Joker from Batman's mind and caused Joker to take over Brainiac's mind. Joker wants a run back to try to get Batman to turn into a killer as Joker sees the whole Titan incident as Batman killing by accident. So, Joker enacts what he calls his, "final joke," in which he mind controls all of Batman's villains to reek havoc on the world. Joker sends Batman back to the Batcave in order to be prepared to "let him prepare before the big show."
Batman explains the whole thing to the Bat family and the Justice League as more of Batman's villains destroy the Justice League's home cities. The League explains that when Brainiac took over their minds, he also found out about all of their weaknesses due to study. This means the only person able to stop Joker is Batman since Brainiac's mind control tech failed on him so Brainiac wasn't able to study him. Batman comes up with a plan but will need the League's help with it. The Bat Family first helps the respective League member defeat one of his rogues in the member's repsective city and gathers the respective materials needed for Batman's plan. However, Joker reveals that he expected this and that the final joke isn't the villains but rather Batman himself. Joker plans to use Brainiac's weapons to destroy the world unless Batman stops him.
After all is done, Batman reveals that he is going to fight Joker since he knows Joker best and because Brainiac doesn't have any files on Batman's weaknesses. Superman comes in to reveal that he finished forging Batman's new suit: the Hellbat.
Batman uses the Hellbat to confront Joker Brainiac, and the two fight. Joker gains the upperhand since he knows Batman's fighting patterns. When all is lost, Batman gets knocked out but a vision of his parents appears before him. They tell him that they are proud of him and want him to keep fighting. Just when Joker is about destroy the world, Batman gets up and punches him in the face. The onsuing battle leads them to get teleported across the whole world, finally landing in Arkham City during a massive rainstorm. Disconnected from Brainiac's technology on the ship, Joker is just an ordinary man smiliar to Batman. In addition, the Hellbat armor gets destroyed during the ensuing battle. Batman and Joker decide to finish the fight mano a mano. During the fight, the player gets quicktime events with a quote under it similarly like the finall battle in Tekken 8. Each dialouge comes with a flashback to events in the previous game, with the last quote being "I am..." with Bruce saying "I am BATMAN." Batman defeats Joker and is able to disable the weapon without killing him, ending the conflict.

It’s this entire woke agenda. I’ve heard from people who interviewed with the new rocksteady that part of the interview the question was asked “so why should we kill Batman“ and another question “so why do you hate Batman“. And this person said he was coming fused with the premise of the question, but the interviewers were insistent, that Batman was part of a dying Legacy.
