Cool that you got into fighting games fairly recently. You have some legendary hype matches you can lookup then if you haven't, like Bonchan vs Alex Velle (EVO 2015). And Ghandi vs FSP. =p And looks like you almost made a pretty sick comeback in your match at TGS. Glad to hear you had a good time. ^^
I went to TGS2019 but didn't check out the tournaments because I was too busy getting swag from the show floor and dealer's room. The last day had a few matches up on the main stage though and it was impressive.
it was great meeting you at this event! I remember we were talking about just having fun playing fighters and i'm happy to see you did just that. When we meet again, we'll have to scrub around in a FT10.
I went to TGS 2019 too on the first Visitor day but i didn't check the International Hall where Street Fighter was happening :( I could have met you if i had went there :( But TGS 2019 is so fun, my first time coming to an event like this
It’s from the good smile racing team when they sell at events. I picked mine up at wonder festival but you’ll have to check when they’ll next be at an event :)
@@NihongoGamer Thx dude! Keep up the good work. Love anything related to games. Are u picking up the Switch Lite? I'm waiting for an Animal Crossing themed Switch Lite next year.
Thanks for sharing your experience! Do they move the tournament for day 2? I was watching the top 8 and the stage and heck, the whole room looked a lot bigger. Congratulations to Momochi of course. :) Now watch someone else do a video about "The Kolin Promlem." It was nice to see Sasa and thanks for the link, I think I'll watch that stick envy again. (Yup. It's that funny to me!) I also think they were in the crowd during the top 8 and the camera cut to them once when they were doing the Karin laugh. :3
Actually that's the beauty of fighting game, you don't need separate screens to play with each other and people to watch it. It is just, SFV is lacking something in its presentation.
Spectator mode in SF sounds good on paper, but It would break the immersion just like in Overwatch tournaments - when commentators are suddenly switching the camera to third person or overview. Besides, capcom are greedy af, they would implement spectator mode only to insert even more ads into the game, from every camera shot/angle possible.
This type of stuff makes me want to get into fighting games. Questions for anyone! I really want to try out Arc System Works games, what games/series of theirs do you recommend I should jump into first?
sound like you were sorta describing Tekken 7 at end of the video, surprised you did not get on tekken train with everyone else SFV is still ok but in a world with tekken i rarely watch/play it anymore also helps that Tekken has S tier commentators funny law and a very international player base which is well represented tekken is overall less populated on player base in some regions but seems to have more popularity as a spectators game, hopefully SFVI is less of a train wreck than SFV i just hope they don't rush the game so the can be first major fighting game on next gen consoles
I don't think twitch streams showing casing "e-sport celeb cameos" will increase viewers. People don't really "surf" thru twitch channels like they do on traditional TV, they generally know what stream they are headed to. That being said, something similar is happening when popular streamers watch or play fighting games on their own stream. This exposes their viewers to the game who may then be interested in looking for into it for themselves. examples, dyrus from LoL playing UNI and ninja from Fortnite watching a melee tourney (no sure how many fortnite players ended up playing smash lol, but still its possible.
Just remember that you can go to your local tournaments to play tournaments as well! You don't just have to only wait for EVO Japan and Tokyo Game Show.
Just from watching your short highlights of your matches, your Ibuki has definitely improved! Keep it up :)
I actually watched this SF event live from twitch. It pretty cool watching it from a vlog perspective.
I love the presentation and editing in your travel videos. They're so informative and relaxing
Thanks! Makes for a fun travel diary for me too when I’m looking back on things I’ve done :)
Thanks for the video! Really enjoyed watching it from a perspective of an attendee/competitor.
Tokido just rolled in like a raging demon

Sakura not playing sakura. 0/10 TGS ruined.
*Right??* An' it's not like she can use that "Oh, Sakura's too low tier!" excuse either! She's playing *Juri* for chrissakes!! xD

Ah shame! Maybe next time!
the shirt has such a cool shade of green... I want it!
seeing Tokido and Punk in the same vid from someone elses POV is refreshing
It is always important to interact with 'strange randomers' if you go to an event on your own.
I'm seeing lots of Razer Pantheras. It would've been cool to see more of the fightsticks people were using.
Alotta razer sticks.
Qanba, Victrix and mad catz aren’t as common as Hori in Japan do people who want Sanwa buttons often go for the razer sticks I think
NihongoGamer! Hello! Please help me. The piano melody at the end of your videos... where's it from?
Keep up the good work.
Hey, NG... where can I get hold of that same t-shirt you're wearing in this video?

Why didn’t you just put the coffee and water in the same bottle?

Interesting. I’m sure there are some creative solutions for maintaining the immersion :)

I would like to participate in tourns but i hate crowds.
Tournaments also happen at locals and online. Big ones like TGS and EVO are fairly crowded tho
1 person mistakenly bought a Tokyou Games show ticket for the tournament... (dislikes section)
