Ronnie Radke is really talented! I love all his reimagined stuff! I highly recommend watching/listening to "The Drug in Me Is You" and "The Drug In Me Is Reimagined" back to back! It's amazing! And like what someone else suggested, "I'm Not a Vampire" and "I'm Not a Vampire (Revamped)"!
So I discovered this video about a week ago and it was my first introduction to Falling In Reverse. I’ve seen a couple others since, but this one just takes my breath away. He captured everything, the solitude, the emptiness, pain, frustration, desperation, rage, all of it! It’s so powerful! I have seen several other reactors describe the string section as being made to look like statues, that has so much significance too. Everything crumbling around him, then everything just “stuck”, hanging in the air, like he was frozen in time. Yeah, that’s what it feels like. And as you pointed out the lack of color, everything is gray, there are no soft surfaces, everything looks and feels dry and lifeless. It’s a stunning representation!

Popular monster, zombified, voices in my head, and anything with "reimagined" in the title are my favorite Falling in Reverse songs. I highly recommend them if you haven't checked them out yet. ✌🏻❤
How in the hell did I miss this reaction until now?? Your response and openness to this excruciting version of one of my favorite songs is so moving. Your vulnerability speaks to many of us who have or are currently struggling with depression. It is so prevalent in the world these days. As Dan (Vasc) says at the end of his tribute cover after Chester Bennington left us too soon. There is no shame in depression and there is no shame going for help. You are important, don't give up on us too soon. (Such a wise young man) Thank you for a special reaction and courage.
Yes, how dare you miss this one :P. But yes, I am actively trying to find a charity that focusses on mental issues internationally but I can't really find one. I want to remove the stigma and have to platform to discuss and improve these issues. Thank you for the kind words and encouragement!
Ronnie just bleeds his soul into everything he does. And, yes, there are a lot of connections throughout his songs/videos and recurring themes. He really thinks through everything and nothing is an accident. You really can't go wrong with any of their songs-----they've been around a long time and are constantly experimenting and changing their sound so you get a new experience with every song. The older stuff sounds way different but also very good in its own right. I listen to and love it all. My introduction to FIR was Popular Monster. I heard it on the radio driving home one day and thought I'd never heard such a perfect song. Walked in, grabbed my laptop and started my deep dive (obsession) with FIR and Ronnie. Please do Popular Monster soon.
In my opinion this is the absolute best reaction for this song! Thank you SO much for showing your vulnerability, many of us are all in the same place, yet silently alone and I am absolutely delighted that you not only noticed but commented on the 'statues' crying,
This is also a sequel to Watch the World Burn. I hope you do more FIR. Ronnie has two of his own songs that he reimagined and Revamped. The Drug In Me is You (2011) The Drug In Me is You Reimagined (2021) I Am Not A Vampire (2011) I Am Not A vampire Revamped(2021) Ronnie doesn't just cover a song he reimagines it. Great Reaction! Yes you watched in the right order. Lol just subbed! Much ❤️
This song connects on such an emotional level; I've heard a few people summarise it perfectly along the lines of: Papa Roach gave us the original we needed as teens and Ronnie Radke has now reimagined it to the version we NEED as adults. I also really liked an interpretation of the 'Watch the World Burn' homage at the end that summarised along the lines of - WTWB was a glimpse of what we are capable of as individuals when pushed too far and those destructive tendencies come out, whereas this song shows the flipside of that and suggests what we are all capable of in terms of dealing with these emotions and healing ourselves (rebuilding our world). Thank you Papa Roach and Ronnie Radke.
Great reaction so heartfelt . In true artistic fashion Ronnie’s able to convey so much emotion because he battles with depression. I agree that WTWB and this song are connected- right order. My thoughts are that the world returns to normal but he’s still not alright.
I’ve “known” about FIR since 2014. They were an opener for Black Veil Brides and my friend and I just went to see what the deal was…and wildly, the show was PACKED with teenagers and their parents (others as well but wow a lot of teenagers) didn’t pay much attention to them because they weren’t my vibe… you’ll see what I mean if you deep dive. Heard their name mentioned here and there over time. Then THIS came out. THIS IS A FRIKKIN MASTERPIECE!!! It opened up the rabbit hole and I’ve been in it ever since. I absolutely love their music now and Ronnie is an interesting human as well. Enjoy the journey! I’ll keep my eyes open for mor reactions!
there are times when he sings out the " tell im in fiiiiine" and the ending of the fine ends in more of "uh" or a breath... and it leaves you with the sense of sheer desperation like " help me.. save me.. someone.. anyone?..."
Apologies for the late comment, just found your channel today. Loved your reaction, and have enjoyed the few others I've watched from you so far. I'm old enough to have jammed out with the Papa Roach version way back in the day, and have my own share of issues that made the lyrics meaningful to me at the time. That version hits me like it's an angsty teen or young adult who is screaming and acting out, trying to get people to see him and not just the things he does... like, I'm a person, not just one of your problems. Ronnie's version here hits me like it's an adult who is struggling so hard just to keep breathing, desperately hoping that someone can look past the exterior to see the pain... crumbling from the inside out (and the MV gives us a clear view of how self-destruction may start with you but will affect everything/everyone around you, as well)... and then coming to that suspended point that feels like the breathless moment before a decision is made -- life, or death; as the lyrics say, "I can't go on living this way", something has to change -- and we see destruction rewind, crumbled walls rebuild... like he's putting himself back together outwardly for the sake of appearances, even while screaming on the inside. (The statues look like weeping angels to me, if you'll pardon the Doctor Who reference, lol)
Such an amazing reaction it was so real. Thank you for being a real one. You want some epic. CGI I’m not a Vampire revamped will blow you away. Hope your doing better brother respect from NYC btw just subbed 🤘
I’m so thankful that you’ve introduced me to this artist! But I’m even more thankful for you - thank you for sharing your thoughts and insights about the lyrics and meaning to you. You matter - and your words matter. Sitting here in tears and sharing in your thoughts. Again, thank you. ❤
I believe you watched in the right order. Ronnie Radke has an interesting back ground. I found FIR by accident and remembered my daughter has seen them in concert a couple times so of course I was curios. My new favorite band. Also, I too battle depression, I am medically treated now for about 15 yrs., I'm 72.
I am a huge FIR fan, that is what brought me to you, I loved your reaction! I am going to subscribe to hopefully watch go down the rabbit hole further. I agree with your suggestions to do both reimagined versions, the drug in me is you and the drug is me reimagined, and I’m not a vampire and I’m not a vampire revamped. Also, Popular Monster, Zombified and Voices in my Head
Great to see your second reaction on such an epic FIR song - really liked and enjoyed it! 🙂 As I just learned today, credits should also go to @SeanRooneyMusic as he is the mastermind behind the orchestral and piano composition of all "revamped" / "reimagined" songs released by Falling in Reverse. For me, these two guys perfectly fit together and I really hope they continue their collaboration in the future! Thanks again for sharing your thoughts on this - and have fun with FIR rabbit hole - there's definitely more to discover! 🙂
Love your reaction, man. You said it, the man’s a storyteller. His emotional voice and the visuals are perfect to depict depression as a mind landscape and wanting help to rebuild it, to be saved and heard. And respect to Ronnie for cleverly connecting ‘watch the world burn’ with this, and for giving us all a reimagined version of a song we didn’t know we needed. Take each day as it comes and stay safe, people.
I myself suffer from depression, anxiety and body dysmorphic disorder and it really does feel as though I'm alone. Yes I have my husband, my family, my friends, my pets, etc but it's so hard when you look in a mirror and all you see is fat or when you put on clothes and everything feels tight. I absolutely love this version of this song. Listening to this I feel this is how the song should have been done from the start even though I get the teenage angst that the original displays. I would absolutely love to cover this song for my own channel.
I love your reactions, because you are insightful and true to your emotions. Depression and anxiety here - working in social care. 🙋🏻♀️ I love Ronnie, he gives you so much expression. ❤
It makes me feel something when i see others that share in my pain and my rage. I hate that others feel as i do but it helps a little to know its not just me.
The one thing learned during my depression and burn out is that so many of us share that pain. Once we start talking about it we can heal as we find we are never truly alone. Stay strong!
Oh man, i love your reaction and observations. I always thought the string players were an extension of his own psyche, thus the emotions portrayed. This is the visual representation of what i have to go thru constantly to survive. Clinical depression is insane. What's worse is knowing it and being helpless to fight it on your own. Luckily, I sought help and am still here because of it. My world "crumbles" around me constantly, even tho everything is "fine". Things could be worse, but they're always catastrophic. Such is life for someone like me. Get help. It's there. ♥️ The end? He did "Unburn" the world. After his last video i was like "How ya gonna top that one, Ronnie?" Toche'... 😊

I think Ronnie gives the text the right, worthy framework. The Papa Roach version is too rocky for the seriousness of the lyrics. That's exactly what Ronnie gets from this song, the pain and the struggle with and against evil thoughts. I keep hearing this song and it always gives me goosebumps. Surely only people who have psychological problems and fight against their demons on a daily basis can understand this. How often her world collapses and threatens to bury her. How many times do you think, "I can't go on like this" and fight your way out, only to find, over and over again, "Nothing's okay". But they still fight on every day. They resist to be buried under their collapsing world. The sad thing is that too many people lose this battle, ultimately running out of strength and being buried under their collapsing world.
