I have not met anyone around my advanced age that loves this type of music: power metal, power rock, etc. Its like a whole generation turned away from the emotions that deep meaning and hard music uncovers. I have listened to Papa Roach's version many times, but this is my first time hearing Ronnie's version. I am in love. I absolutely love Ronnie's version. His voice is so beautiful, it fits the message of this song so perfectly.

Speechless with this one. I am in love with it, but like I’ve said before, great art a lot of times with a lot of pain. It’s heartbreaking to think of what caused Ronnie to interpret the song this way. He is so talented but clearly has been through some difficult things. Having been through some myself, I can definitely relate to a lot of these lyrics, but I also am grateful for medication and therapy as well as loving family and friends to help me through. I adore this take on the song and it is fitting for how I have been feeling for some time. And for those who do not understand Major Depression, I hope this might help you to 'get it'. The 'don't have to go it alone' is the point really. Because you ARE alone and the people you would just love to get it, to sense it, rather than expecting you to reach out to talk when you are curled up in a ball, and screaming on the inside - they are who we need. Ronnie is good friends with Papa Roach and there is a clip on TH-cam of him nervously playing the video to them. So sweetly looking for the validation. At one point he is asked, I think by Jacoby, if that is Ronnie playing the piano and Ronnie says it isn't - it is the studio pianist he and FIR use. Ronnie is a very complex man and has had his share of stuff. Would love to read his book but it costs the same to ship it to Australia as the book itself costs. Still pondering. Love to you both.

I didn’t see any in your recent videos, but I really think you’d love them. Not sure what you’ve heard about them, if anything, but since you love Ronnie’s voice so much, you would absolutely love the Greta Van Fleet lead singer Josh’s voice. It gives me chills listening to him. He has an outstanding range and it’s just beautiful. The band is 3 biological brothers and a brother from another mother who is the drummer! We do have one on the channel by Greta Van Fleet but I apologize I can’t remember the name of it. It’s been probably a year to two years ago. We’re very familiar with this band since their home town of Frankenmuth, Mi. is about 40 miles from the city we live in. Michigan is very proud of Greta Van Fleet. Lots of people think they sound a lot like Led Zepplin. Even Robert Plant thought they did. I can hear the similarities but I think we all have influences. You know you made a immortal song that will echo through history. When covers like this is build on it. Deconstruction music this way for me shows what songs will stand the test of time. There are many great songs. But sometimes it takes the most magical cover of a great song, to prove just how brilliant it really is, and make it last forever. And not to target anyone. Because I do think Ronnie could do it. But what you hear on the track is not Ronnie playing the piano. When he makes these videos he has a composer writing them, same as his other reimagined and revamped songs. He has someone composing the music and all that, and playing the piano to. And that is not to take anything away from Ronnie, or his talent. Its just the truth. As he points out himself about this video in the clip where he shows it to Papa Roach.

Ronnie unfortunately built a bad reputation for himself several years ago & some people just can’t let it go. Although some of it was true, some of it should be more carefully scrutinized before believed. He’s older & wiser now is is trying his best to be a better person. Speechless with this one. I am in love with it, but like I’ve said before, great art a lot of times with a lot of pain. It’s heartbreaking to think of what caused Ronnie to interpret the song this way. He is so talented but clearly has been through some difficult things. Having been through some myself, I can definitely relate to a lot of these lyrics, but I also am grateful for medication and therapy as well as loving family and friends to help me through. A lot of suffering happens in silence. It’s so hard to ask for help.

I adore this take on the song and it is fitting for how I have been feeling for some time. And for those who do not understand Major Depression, I hope this might help you to 'get it'. The 'don't have to go it alone' is the point really. Because you ARE alone and the people you would just love to get it, to sense it, rather than expecting you to reach out to talk when you are curled up in a ball, and screaming on the inside - they are who we need. Ronnie is good friends with Papa Roach and there is a clip on TH-cam of him nervously playing the video to them. So sweetly looking for the validation. At one point he is asked, I think by Jacoby, if that is Ronnie playing the piano and Ronnie says it isn't - it is the studio pianist he and FIR use. Ronnie is a very complex man and has had his share of stuff. Would love to read his book but it costs the same to ship it to Australia as the book itself costs. Still pondering. Love to you both.

I didn’t see any in your recent videos, but I really think you’d love them. Not sure what you’ve heard about them, if anything, but since you love Ronnie’s voice so much, you would absolutely love the Greta Van Fleet lead singer Josh’s voice. It gives me chills listening to him. He has an outstanding range and it’s just beautiful. The band is 3 biological brothers and a brother from another mother who is the drummer! I suggest Broken Bells from their last album, or Meeting the Master from their new album just out. Thanks!
We do have one on the channel by Greta Van Fleet but I apologize I can’t remember the name of it. It’s been probably a year to two years ago. We’re very familiar with this band since their home town of Frankenmuth, Mi. is about 40 miles from the city we live in. Michigan is very proud of Greta Van Fleet. Lots of people think they sound a lot like Led Zepplin. Even Robert Plant thought they did. I can hear the similarities but I think we all have influences. Deconstruction music this way for me shows what songs will stand the test of time.
There are many great songs. But sometimes it takes the most magical cover of a great song, to prove just how brilliant it really is, and make it last forever.
And not to target anyone. Because I do think Ronnie could do it.
But what you hear on the track is not Ronnie playing the piano. When he makes these videos he has a composer writing them, same as his other reimagined and revamped songs. He has someone composing the music and all that, and playing the piano to.
And that is not to take anything away from Ronnie, or his talent. Its just the truth. As he points out himself about this video in the clip where he shows it to Papa Roach.
