I always have a hard time sizing my middle & ring finger on my left hand with short almond full cover tips. Thanks for this video I’m going to start filing the cuticles to try & get the perfect shape ❤
I got so excited when I saw this video. This is how I do my nails. I feel like the sticky tabs get passed over by most people. I was actually surprised that i could keep my nails on a week with them. The removal is so easy. I am so over soaking off nails!
These are so great!! I only do press on’s now. I Don’t ever have to worry about gel allergies. I also feel like I can do a better job on tips. I’m so happy that you’re doing them as well. Temu is helping with my addiction 🤣🤣
Sadly, I have developed an allergy to the gel I used for applying gel x extensions 😢 I’ve tried 2 different ones and had the same reaction. I definitely want to try this method. I wasn’t sure how well adhesive tabs would work but I think I’m gonna give it a go. Love this video and the nails are beautiful!!!
Thank you for making and sharing this. I’m really enjoying making press ons. I just ordered the adhesive tabs as I’m hoping that they might fit a lil better than the Makkart brand (seemed short). I too prefer short nails. Even my press ons are short almonds. I’ve been using nail lacquer it dries pretty quick on acrylic nails. Press On! ✌️ 💕
@@MarlaKris polish dries fairly quickly on acrylic nails…I got some pretty nice ones on Temu for cheap! Not sure about dry time on gel nails although I do have some of those…I’ll pay attention next time I do those. Also. There are drying products out there…sprays, drops, etc. what I love is that I have more time and energy for adding all the special touches with press ons…rhinestones, stickers, glitter (bought some from Walmart) etc. ✌️ 💕
I changed to builder gel as my base and absolutely loved it. 8 out of 10 of my nails separated from the skin. I will have to wait months for them to grow out, they look horrible. I have never been allergic to anything in my life.
I developed an allergy to gel in April. My nails were like layers of pastry. I stopped using gel and started using Sienna nail polish which is normal varnish but very clean. Took me 4 months to grow out. Im now using press ons with Sienna polish. I didn't know i could use gel this way. 😮
Marla, quick question! 😊 If you want to try press ons but don’t want to take off your builder gel, could you apply them with tabs on your builder gel? Also, another side note. If I have tips that are sitting around, can I apply peelbase on my BG and then a layer of dip or gel base on top then glue on tips? Do you think they would pop off because of the peelbase so you don’t have to soak off?
Was great to watch Marla. We are on the same page. I only do and wear press ons, and no product directly onto my natural nails. Also joined your FB page. Some great designs on there.👌⚘
great video Suggestion would you do video on full nail tip but have to cut them down to short nail tips I cannot seem to cut them to look the same length Plz TFS
“Almond…you’re on your own.” That’s cold. I neeeeeeeed this blue. Do you have clear goopy stuff to stick the tips onto the stands? I’ve never seen clear. I need that, too.
How do you line up the tabs on your nail? I try to find the middle of the nail but it doesn’t go on straight sometimes. Should I try applying them starting on one side?
Hello. LOVE your videos! Question: I want to venture into press-ons. Right now I do my own gel polish. Do I need to cut-down my natural nails to do press-ons? They dont curve down much (more straight) and they are not too long. Thanks for any help you can give!
I have a couple of questions. Do you not do any prep to the natural nail before applying the tabs? I noticed that the gel tip wasn't buffed or a base coat applied prior to the gel color, is this not necessary? I have done a version of Gel X and through other content creators, was told to buff the shine off the gel tip to give the gel polish something to adhere to since gel polish doesn't like a smooth surface.
As far as prep to your nail, that totally depends on how long you want to keep them on. For a longer lasting press on manicure, you’ll want to prep your nails well. Some people find it easier to apply gel polish over a buffed surface but it’s not a necessary step! Gel adheres to plastic (the extensions) very differently than a natural nail that contains oils 💙
How do you take your press ons off so that you can reuse them? When I use the tabs and I pop them off, the leave residue on the mail and my natural nail.
I’m having great luck with Dashing Diva. It’s thick like a gel but it doesn’t require a lamp. I’m an old lady with lots of ridges in my natural nails- this glue fills the gaps and they stay on for weeks!
I have recently been wanting to try gel press ons because I recently developed a gel allergy and have a ton of gel polish. I noticed you did not use base coat before the gel polish. Is this an unnecessary step?
It’s likely you’re using a gel that has an ingredient you’re allergic to. I’d highly suggest allergy testing so you can pinpoint exactly what you’re allergic to and YES most dermatologists can do this!

Are you using primer on gelly tips before starting with the gel polish? I’m having issues with my topcoat curing without. 😢

I wear only glueons if i don't do gelX, dip, etc, but I'll watch all your videos lol
Nice!
Thanks love!! 🫶🏻
Such a beautiful set of press-on's. I am extremely rough on my nails. Will they stay on for the week or two?
Totally depends on how you prep your nails! But yes, they can last up to 3 weeks with good prep!

Totally depends on your nails and the extensions you’re using. But typically, no! You don’t have to cut your nails to wear press ons!

@@MarlaKris filing and a dehydrator? Not every enhancement needs a primer and I'm not sure if this is one of those that doesn't
So you don’t do a gel base on them?! I always thought you had to do a base for any gel.
How do you take your press ons off so that you can reuse them? When I use the tabs and I pop them off, the leave residue on the mail and my natural nail.
Usually soap and water will remove any of that residue left by the tabs. I’d they’re super stubborn, a little cuticle oil helps!
You crack me up!😂😂😁🤣
What is the best mail glue❤

I don’t find it necessary at all! Only when doing gel on natural nails. 🫶🏻

Can you use foil on dip powder nails?
You use can!!
lol don't wear press ons, but making my cousin some, so these tips i will be passing on, lol
if you are in market for a good lamp I just purchased a 150w lamp from temu for 10.79 usd
The Temu lamps are great! I just demo’d one in Mondays video! 🫶🏻

Aww shucks 🥰 thank you!! 🫶🏻
I have started to develop an allergy from doing gel x for so long 🥲... will I still get a reaction from wearing press ons I make with non uv glue?
As long as clean the nails down really well after you make them, top and bottom, you shouldn’t have any reactions 🙌🏻
