My Italian grandmother was always enraged when my brother and I would put our spaghetti on our garlic bread. We never understood why. After she passed, we've both developed the habit of putting spaghetti on our toast, holding the toast in the air and saying "sorry grandma."
As soon as I saw the title I knew it would be Spaghetti works. I typically just go to the one in Ralston as they are not as busy. The salad bar is nice and fresh and the spaghetti is “ok”. Garlic bread is my favorite though , it’s so good !

It kind of reminds me of The Old Spaghetti Factory, which is one of my favorite restaurants! They also have Italian sodas but they are very tasty and you get to bring the glass home as a souvenir 😅
The Spaghetti Works in Des Moines closed permanently and that has left a giant pasta shaped hole in my heart, may Des Moines recover from such a loss 😭😭😭
