Great year for the TT with the best coverage by far. I follow alot of sport but this has been by far the best coverage I have seen on youtube. See you guys next year.
OMG!!! This year the conditions were just perfect and the riders pushed through like never before in IOMTT history...!!! AMAZING!!! And Peter Hickman...!!! What a mature ride this year!!! Fantastic performance.....stellar!!!
Never been on a motorbike, no intention of doing so, but just love watching the TT. Makes me quite emotional watching these guys who are on the line between life and death, but more alive than the rest of us mortals will ever be. ❤
So many highlights within TT2023 the Birchalls double wins and lap record, MD lapping at over 130mph on a 600cc and Peter Hickman getting around over 136mph on a stock bike was amazing, thanks everyone for putting on an unforgettable TT.
@@johnhodge1263 Dunlop did amazing but id have to give it to hicky. Same amount of wins but hicky won the big race(senior tt) and has the new outright lap record.
USA and Indiana loves the TT And the athletes who participate. As a motorcycle rider of many years they make it look so easy and just watching scares the hell out of me. Huge respect to all of the riders and people who make the TT happen. Thank you!
I've never watched motorbike racing, but this year's TT has been incredible and you have a new convert to this sport. I'm in awe of the riders, their bravery, skill and commitment. Well done all involved and already, I'm looking forward to 2024.
Just got home after being there since Thursday for mine and my dads first TT, probably one of the best experiences of my life. Not only is the racing immense and not like anything else, but the atmosphere around the whole island is beautiful. If you’re even considering going then do it, I can’t wait to return!
Michael Rutter is a legend. At 5:00, looks like he breaks down. He didn't, he had a rear tyre blow out on the approach to Ballagarey, that's about 180mph at that point. Took some muscling around the corner that did. Brilliant save, lucky man indeed 👏🏼💪🇮🇲🏍🏁
What a great two weeks. Hicky is such a fucking monster, same with Dunlop and Harrison. Was happy to see that this year was much safer by comparison to recent years (RIP RTP). Absolutely cannot wait for next year. Thanks for the amazing coverage!
Stellar performance by Peter Hickman. Amazing performance from all the riders. The organizers and the riders and teams gave us a memorable IOM TT this year. Thank you so much for the thrilling exhibition of man and machine in harmony in the historic Island. Loved each and every moment. Can't wait for 2024. 🔥🔥🔥💯👍
@@sauce1232 I actually don't remember there being live onboard. I've seen so much footage ovee the last two weeks. It's mostly helicopter shots, and cameras at specific points
Congratulations to the riders who made the podium this year,as ever awe inspiring riding,to those that came and gave it their best i salute you all,to those that unfortunately will not be racing again our respect and condolences.fantastic weather and records broken yet again...bring it on next year folks.
This years event for the two weeks was totally unbelievable,All riders rode lap times for personal bests ,they had the best time ever , totally focused. The crowd was in for a brilliant treat, Thankyou to all teams and riders for making it a unforgettable holiday 🦂
So incredibly amazing this year is a historical one for the TT. 😎 👍 Best weather, fantastic audience, great driver and a couple of record-setting benchmarks 😱✌️👍 All the best for all racers 👋👍from Germany 🇩🇪
Dean Harrison really showed his stuff today but Hicky just had that couple of extra seconds. Plus MD just amazing this last week. 2023 TT has been Amazing.
Awesome. Also can we have the on board from Hicky's 136 MPH lap posted ? The forward camera only please ! The other angle's , whilst interesting aren't as much fun as the rider's eye view , and seeing what they see.
Riders dangle their leg when heavy braking for the same reason that tight rope walkers carry a balance pole. We're talking about the use of leg weight inertia to counter the tendency of the front wheel contact patch to swing the rear away from an orthogonal (perpendicular) orientation, which keeps the bike's long axis aligned with the direction of travel.. It dampens the tendency of the unweighted rear wheel to free the mass of the bike to pivot around the fork bearing axis. Just as a stoppie pivots the bike vertically around the wheel axle, that 2nd pivo point at the steering head could allow an unweighted rear wheel to swing horizontally.. I'm kinda confused as to why this leg dangle technique is generally perceived as a mystery.
What a fantastic TT it was. The final lap of the second Supersport race was just incredible. Dunlop held the lap record at 129.197mph. Harrison crossed the line first breaking it with 129.697 only to hold the record for what must be the shortest time ever as Dunlop crossed about seven seconds later lapping at 130.403. For good measure Hickman then crossed shortly after with a 130.219 so all three broke the old lap record on the same lap. Dean Harrison and also Pete Founds/Jeavon Walmsley deserve special mentions for me, pushing Hickman, Dunlop and the Birchalls all the way all week long without getting the glory of a win. It would be fascinating to see if Harrison could make that very tiny gap up if he was on a Honda or BMW rather than the Kawasaki.
This was the best $30 I've spent this year (actually $24 with a 20% off coupon you gave to 44 teeth viewers). . Watching all of these races live was a blast and so worth the money.
Yeah, after this year I definitely agree. Dean’s sponsorship is a great small business ( compared to the factory teams) but he definitely needs a better bike. It would be a lot closer. Shame about Michael Dunlop making a complaint that Peter had cheated to win! Dunlop would have won fu## all if Peters bikes had been on the mark from the start. Michael has lost a lot of respect around the paddock!
class TT great win pete, but Dean Harrison what a ride 10 mph down on speed trap and still mixing it unreal Dean best performance for me fella 👍 2nd place WOWWWW
Loved every second of it. Fantastic year! The only thing I’d change is that on TT+ I would love to hear Cameron Donald commentate instead of Mark Miller.
The leg coming off is hardly for center of gravity. It has an effect, but there's some corners that bring it out in any rider. It's comfort. It feel. It's necessary when you're running 110% to do simple things to make you feel better about what you do.
Poor old Dean Harrison, if it was another era he'd be a multiple Champion around the island but he's racing the Best of the best Dunlop & Hickman. Still he can say he's fighting with the big Dowgs.
come on... Donald not knowing why some riders put the leg out under braking... it's to balance the bike when they brake hard and it also provides some more braking power like aero brakes. when you brak hard with a bike, it wants to straighten up on you due to inertia from wheels. if you shift the weight on the inside while braking hard, it helps you to keep the angle before entering the corner. otherwise the bike would straighten up on you. making you failing corner entry.
Nope.. Riders do it to help back the rear end (controlled slide) into a corner. Having the foot on the peg, its harder to do this. Hence the "foot dangle"!

Years.
You need perfect conditions plus more development on the tyres and suspension.
A 140mph lap means 26sec faster. I dont think we'll see that speed in the near future.

Thinking maybe 10 years ?
10 mph top end is a huge disadvantage
Kinda hard to press the rear brake with your foot dangling.
Rear brake is on the bars, mention in clip.
Dangling a leg forward shifts more weight onto the front tyre. Gives more grip under braking, so you can brake harder without locking up. 😃

handlebar rear brake lever is much more precise than a foot lever.
