I had the opposite happen to me. Since being vegan I no longer have PMS or PCOS. My hair is healthier and longer and so is my skin. Moral of the story is to do what is best for you. Please do not do a diet because someone else is doing it. Everyone is different.
Same! Allergies went away. Daily nose bleeds were a thing of the past. Large and painful cysts on my thighs were completely gone. My only thing is now I gained weight and the skin on my face is more textured. But other than that, this vegan lifestyle has brought me more good than harm.
@@mylifelivedlovely same I was also able to conceive and have a baby. My cycle regulated as well. This lifestyle has done only positive things for me personally.
Yasssss! I'm tired of influencers" influencing" others everytime they change what they want to do.Its guilt for preaching and being an extremist. Money has to be made I guess
I have no problem with folks switching their diet for what works for them. I was vegan and now am not. The only thing that seems questionable in this video for me is the all-or-nothing belief in different identities and systems. For instance, you've gone from championing the health of veganism to now claiming that there are "no scientific studies" that back up meat as a cancer causing agent...I know people who eat meat and STILL acknowledge it as a probable cause for cancer. It is a red flag for me when we warp reality to fit our own path rather than just owning our path despite what may be contradictory. I say this in the spirit of healthy debate, because I believe as long as we are so attached to different thought systems, swinging from one to the other, we will find ourselves far from peace.
It’s simple. She wants to eat animal products. But she knows she was against it before and talked a great deal about that, so now she has to make up and dig for reasons to tell why she’s eating meat again. Notice how she said she was better after having eggs and butter alone. But then she still started eating beef. Why? If you’re better and don’t need it, what was the point? Well there isn’t one other than it tastes good and she wants it.
There have been past videos of her admitting to being easily swayed by doctors lectures and books. She’s never had a stable opinion on food for being a “nutritionist”
i’m literally crying. i’ve been vegan for the animals for 4 years. this past year or so i’ve 1) lost like 50% of my hair 2) developed that cystic cheek acne 3) had a hard time losing weight & also gained a lot of weight from binge eating 4) brain fog, dizziness, and irritability has just become my norm. this was extremely eye opening and it’s such a hard decision for me to make but at this point my body is failing at 21 and i think i need a change in diet to help, i was just too blind to see. thank u so so so much for this insight and your sincerity :)
@@Sha.Materia at first i was a junk food vegan. but this year i’ve been really big on health food and excersize to lose weight, eating mostly veggies like leafy greens , fruits, legumes, tofu, grains, and trying to be whole food based. it’s just been really frustrating bc i feel like i’m doing everything right, no fast food/processed food/soda yet my body is still telling me something is wrong:(
Listen to your body and not anyone on the internet telling you “you did it wrong”. I suffered for 5 years on the vegan diet and had all the same issues you are experiencing. Nothing helped. I tried EVERY vegan alternative. I spent literally thousands on supplements and powders and this and that trying to find a vegan solution. I exercise and get outside daily and I covered all my basis on a vegan diet. I ate so clean and all whole plant foods eating lots of fat and protein and carbs. Wasn’t enough. I tried different macros, I tried it all. I was suffering. Within weeks of introducing high quality animal foods into my diet my health came back. My acne went away but now I’m left with awful acne scars. My hair is finally back to how it was before I went vegan. Seriously DO NOT listen to people on the internet telling you to try this or that vegan solution. Give your body what it needs. Beef liver saved my health!
@@Sha.Materia I never told them to do anything other than listen to their body and if it’s falling apart, you’ll know. If it needs animal foods, you’ll know. I only said taking beef liver saved MY health.
You were the first person that sparked my curiosity and eventually aided in my transition to veganism and for that I’ll be forever grateful for you. I am writing this before I watch the whole video bc these thanks will be there no matter what
@@niaimanicooper7757 it takes no courage to tell people why we no longer pay for tortured animal flesh. What takes courage is admitting wrong it is and sometimes stopping, due to its addictive nature
I did vegan for 6 years, I ditched it for eating "Intuitively" for my body's needs. Added "some" fish and "some" pasture-raised eggs and butter. Feel loads stronger. Doubt I'll go back to beef, turkey, or chicken; however, I swear by bone broth by Kettle and Fire. I'm interested in getting a recommendation for the liver supps. Great video, V ~
Love your message. I was vegan for years until I got pregnant. I started having meat cravings/ salmon cravings, etc and realized this was intuitive eating. I was missing key minerals and proteins while growing a human and decided to indulge in those cravings and felt IMMEDIATELY better. After pregnancy I want to continue eating for my body’s needs.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING SO TRANSPARENT AND MAKING THIS IMPORTANT VIDEO! I've been struggling with this for sooo long!! It started getting really bad in my second pregnancy. I did not eat meat, rarely used cheese or butter and drank almond milk. Around the second half of my pregnancy my health started to decline horribly. I looked exauhsted my skin was losing color and i had no energy. That fourth of July, my family and I went to a friends and they made steak. I remember looking at that steak for a long time with such guilt before I cut into it. When I tell you, even the HOURS following the digestion of that meat made a HUGE difference. I already started feeling much better. I can't say all this time I haven't been guilty though. And I'll go through periods where I make myself not eat animal product as well as I.F. and it's been really hard lately. You speaking on this is a huge relief, and I've got so much gratitude for you for doing so. Have a beautiful weekend my love, you are so appreciated!! ✌️ 💜
I went through something very similar. Veganism helped me so much in the first 3 years, after that, I slowly deteriorated and crashed going into year 7. I started dreaming of and craving animal foods, which felt like a betrayal to my ethics, but my vegan ego was actually betraying my body. I now eat intuitively, and feel so much better! Thank you for sharing your story, let's us previous vegans know we weren't imagining these health issues, and we're not alone in the healing process.
This is what I experienced as well. Even taking the proper supplements and meticulously counting macros I found with plant based eating I hit a wall about 2-3 years in. I've done plant based on 4 separate occasions. I admire people who can make it work for them and they are vibrant and feel great, and I admire people who are willing to sacrifice their personal health for a cause they believe in, but I knew my body was sick and I needed it to heal. I was so invested in veganism as such a huge part of my identity that I wasn't sure what to do with myself once I transitioned away.
My story was similar I just think to each our own because we are all different I went back to eating meat but not as much as before I became vegan I will never go back to that but for my individual health eating organ meat is healthier but this isn’t going to be the case for everyone.
Exact same thing happened to me as well! First 3 years I lost weight and felt amazing and at age 27 (7 years vegan) I developed a hormonal imbalance, hair loss , very pcos like symptoms etc
Thank you for doing this. I was vegan for about 5yrs then added salmon back to my diet but not fully last year. I noticed doing that my “thin hair” was now much fuller. About 2-3 months ago I started adding chicken, eggs and butter back to my diet. Boom! Complete difference along with incorporating exercise. Excess weight falling off, regular periods, no more brain fog, no anxiety and very minor pms. My skin even has a better glow. I still have meatless meals but a few times out the week I add meat in. I make sure to purchase quality eggs and chicken. It costs more but it's so worth it. ❤️
I LOVE THIS! Currently on my 3rd pregnancy & began eating intuitively (animal products, 0 processed foods, very very low processed sugar) after many years vegan & vegetarian. It has been my BEST pregnancy. I have never felt so balanced!
Sometimes people get addicted to the idea of… it becomes part of one’s identity to be this or that, I am glad you found what works for you and your body.
It´s epigenetics. If your anchestors did eat a lot of greens, you will be much more healthy if you follow a plantbased diet. If your anchestors ate mostly meat, your body might be having a lot of problems if you try a completely vegan diet. For me personally, and in that you are right with your thought process, it´s not only where we as humans came from but where we want to go evolutionary. Your age also matters. If children and teenagers eat a diet, their body and gut develop through the diet you eat. So if you start out veganism early on your body will be much more likely to have the right hormonal and bacterial starting point to live and thrive on a plantbased diet. When people get older, they can also digest plants more easily. Their gut is much more diverse and the nutrients old mammals can absorb will decrease a bit, since your bodily functions become slower. That´s probably because in the grand scheme of things, it was important for older beings to live on less nutrients, so their offspring could survive and with them their genes.
Yes, people do get addicted to the idea of becoming vegan, vegetarian, raw foodist, keto, paleo, etc. It’s not about identity it should be about eating healthy and taking good care of your body. People may say they want to do a certain diet but the heart is not really there for various reason. Also, we have to take care of the mind, body and soul not just the body. If we eat healthy yet stress out, stress will basically undo the good you are doing. Also, people need to cleanse and improve gut health so your body can better absorb nutrients. Also, people eat certain ways but do not get blood work done to see what you are lacking or if you are doing something excessive. I was vegan 10 years ago but stopped because I realized I did not have complete understanding of how to efficiently prepare vegan meals. Now, I eat plant base but add salmon and try to eat rainbow of colors. Limit nits and legumes. I eat various foods in moderation. Basically I combine plant base/ Mediterranean / anti inflammatory diet.
We’re all living a human experience. Constantly changing and evolving is just apart of life. I observe people’s story and truths but I don’t get entangled in them.
I appreciate you being brave enough to make this video. I had to make a similar one a couple of years ago after being vegan for 2 years. The beginning was amazing! But after about 9 months my health started declining. WBC count dropped, brain fog, no sleep/or oversleep, fatigue to where I couldn’t even work out anymore, loss of period, skin started breaking out bad, the list goes on. All that and my labs were damn near normal…but I knew something wasn’t right. I caved in and gave salmon a try, and eventually eggs and animal products and my health has improved tremendously since! Also got a test called Nutraeval to get me back on track!
@@Sassypantsinpink There's a lot of information on what foods can cause different diseases - for example raw spinach contains oxalates, causes kidney stones. Allergies are a different story of course. Organic foods don't have an advantage or it's minimal. You can't die of being vegan unless you're uneducated on well established nutrition. This video is a showcase of placebo and fake science, it goes against well established consensus and she's making literally false claims, like you can't digest plant protein at all - wtf?
I love that you mentioned genetics, ppl tend to think that the human body is the same for everyone. What works for one person may not work for another. We don’t have to follow one particular ideology because it’s mainstream, just do what your body NEEDS. And I really appreciate your honesty☺️ ❤️
The human body is indeed virtually the exact same for everyone. There's less genetic variation across every single human on the planet than in even single populations of our closest relative species. The idea that one human body needs something other than another is total nonsense with zero basis in reality, and everyone can not just achieve perfect health on a 100% plant-based diet, but it's literally the only way to achieve optimal healthy for humans. It's hilarious that people like try to speak about ideology, and yet you're constantly spewing the same delusional carnist death cultist ideology yourselves.
As human beings we never stop learning, evolving and becoming who we are meant to be. It should be a constant evolution and we should be free to change courses in our lives whenever we feel the need to do so. Do what is best for you, eat what is good for you and makes you happy😉

I actually had the opposite experience with animal fats. I had TERRIBLE acne for 15 years. I cut out all dairy and went low oil and my skin has been clear since! My body feels amazing. I believe that we all have different bodies. We must listen and truly hear our bodies. What works for me may not work for you and that’s okay. I think I could never get past the ethical dilemma of consuming animal products though, but that’s just me. Sending you love and I’m happy you’re feeling better!
This is why I don't like embracing titles- bec then I'd feel like I'd have to live up to them, lol. I dont eat meat but i respect that other people do and i also respect that there is value in [nontoxic] meat. My Guidance has shown me that there are times when it is ok for me to eat [nontoxic] meat when the spirit moves me to. I also remember that certain types of chicken is healing for me over the years when I did eat meat. I prefer to simply go with the flow and I agree that since our bodies change, its best to change with it. I dont eat eggs for different reasons but for months Ive wondered if free roaming eggs might be conscience free for me. I think it is, I just havent gotten around to it yet although the Universe has delivered up several free roam eggs in my community. So... Yes, everyone should eat according to how they feel and that will look different for every person and may also change with the seasons. I Love this video and I thank you for making it and raising awareness that the only committment we have is to Ourselves and Honoring our body in any given moment is Appreciation. Much Love to You 💜
Lol, I feel like eating babies, I guess that's cool now, and what you are is a flexiterian and eating whatever moves you is a bad plan. With your statement about respecting people choice to eat meat I can eat babies just because it move me, I'm not monster I don't like labels.
Let go of guilt. You are right, our bodies change and so do our requirements. Get what you need, to be healthy. Be yourself. None of us needs to please anyone else. Good luck. Now go scramble some of those free range eggs in butter lol. Hugs.
I'll never forget a similar sit down talk you did when you were in the van. You were visibly beating yourself up over indulging in a non-raw meal, and you came to terms with how it was affecting you. When you had that heart to heart, I was so proud and that's was the moment I realized you're someone who I'd continue to follow. There is nothing more beautiful than someone who can be honest with themselves about their need to evolve. I can't imagine how difficult that might be to do under the lens of so many people with their irrelevant opinions, but you continue to do it again and again and it's so inspiring. I've loved seeing you make room for yourself in this way, and expanding in your compassion and understanding for others because of it. Keep letting yourself dig for truer truths, and loving yourself exactly as your spirit demands in the moment. You've got many people who support you for that divine quality, not for what you do or don't do, but for you are as you figure all that out. Peace and love, you beautiful being 💕

This video resonates so much, like you I started to experience acne, cystic painful acne. I had up until that point in my life never had more than one pimple on my face at once. Then, the debilitating anxiety and depression...my hormones was going through it and I refused to believe it was my diet. Doctors, even family members would suggest I try to implement some animal products back into my diet yet I refused because I was so committed to this lifestyle and cause. I had to literally reach rock bottom before I honored myself and body and made the obvious change it was asking for. Since I made the switch about five months ago the acne is now very faint dark spots, anxiety and depression has subsided but most importantly I just feel better. Humans eat the flesh of defenceless animals for NOTHING more than pleasure. No human alive needs flesh for anything, only some think their taste buds need it unaware that plants create the flavour
I gave up veganism after 7 years and started eating dairy, fish, and eggs again. I lost 15 pounds slowly and without much effort. I am now considering adding meat back into my diet too. I look at my friends who are still vegan and they are all malnourished or having an unhealthy relationship with food in their own ways. So many of them rely on many highly processed foods. So did I when I was vegan. I think I’ll always do my best to incorporate lots of plant foods in my diet but I think I need to start eating meat once in a whole.
Sis if you wanted to be ready for Thanksgiving turkey just say that 😂😂🤣 but on a serious note, do what’s best for you 🤷🏽♀️ I’ve been on my holistic journey for 16 years and vegan for 10 years. My skin is flawless, I have normal bowel movements, my recovery is faster if I hurt myself, etc. etc. Best wishes on your new journey
10 years is not actually that long, for some it takes 20+ before they see the permanent damage caused by veganism - things like degenerative disc disease, etc which are irreversible.
Yes we want all the details sis! If there’s one thing I learned from the cleansing that we all are going through throughout the planet, it’s that we need to stop lying ourselves and listen to our bodies more. Believe me, there is not a single ex-ethical vegan out there that did not have extreme guilt about switching back. We don't choose this lifestyle because it's fun or quirky, but there is a reason most people stop being vegan at some point. The human body is omnivorous, but as we both know, meat should not be consumed in the amounts it is today. Back in ye olden days, meat was an emergency food source in the winter. It was what you ate in January when the dried beans and wheat wasn't enough to fuel you and the ground was frozen. The modern diet uses animal products for breakfast lunch and dinner. That is definitely not what we were designed for. Ethical vegans like yourself and myself, choose not to consume these products even if they do have some health benefit for us. That is the end of what being an ethical vegan means, choosing not to consume out of the belief that no animal is lesser than us and all animals deserve to live and not be tortured. @UCGfXmBSfIbttsZUyYWy0wKA baby, if you have to insult people to get your point across, it's a weak point 👌. I've been vegan for over 2 years now. If your lifestyle is killing you, you have the right to stop following it. When does it become an act of self-harm or hatred?
the most sustainable/least harm diet is a local, seasonal, non-globalized diet. end of story. i am vegetarian myself. but that goes for any diet that you choose. factory farmed ANYTHING isn't good for the environment or for you energetically. the closer you are to your consumption the better. that goes for everythingggg you surround yourself with, not just food.
Doesn't matter, if the Animal was factory farmed or raised on a green pasture, their final destination is a slaughter house ( Hell on Earth) filled with fear, anxiety, stress, sadness, anger, blood and death
Cool, so eat local non globalised WITHOUT the products that come from suffering, rape and torturing of other beings. I was vegetarian for 4 years, I know it’s hard, but you know the right thing. Just do it. We don’t need animal products to live. Compassion is more important than your taste buds.

I’m so glad to see this video. Just yesterday I was saying since I’ve stopped eating meat and dairy in 2015 my health has been on a steady decline. Well at the 5 year mark I found out I was pregnant with my son who is now a healthy 6 year old and never has had any animal products. I had a healthy pregnancy and breastfed my son for 4 years. I've connected with other parents who've had the same experience and been vegan for longer than I have, one is a marathon runner, the other one is a belly dancer and still looks like she is in her mid-twenties.
Thank you for your authenticity EMM 💚💚💚💚 My holistic health journey has brought me currently to a place of what I like to call vegan-ish. I am meatless, fish-less and open; meat is no longer a part of my journey, atm. Along with intermittent fasting (which has been an epiphany for me), I have begun to garden. I know that the Spirits sent you to deliver these words you spoke in this video as I was just contemplating regenerative farming. So, again, thank you and be blessed 💚💚💚💚

I remember watching your old videos and seeing the shame in your face when you couldn’t live up to the restrictions you put on yourself (when you were raw/intermittent fasting). If we are truly meant to use food as medicine then restriction is not the way to go. So much shame comes from these restrictions. Shame that is then translated into disordered eating and heaviness on our mental health. Loosen the grip. Food freedom is the way to go✨
Thank you for sharing this! I used to be vegetarian/vegan for 5 years as well and I was very malnourished. When I went completely vegan, I lost 50 pounds in just 3 months and my eczema was the worst it has ever been in my life. I swore at the time I lost all that weight because fat was unhealthy and that my eczema flare up was all the toxins releasing lol. When I got pregnant with my daughter, my cravings for meat and dairy were skyrocketing and something told me that I needed to listen to this calling because intuitively I felt I needed more nourishment. Thankful for my daughter for helping me transition back to eating eggs, dairy, meat, etc. I currently would consider myself an intuitive eater or even animal based. My family is from Guyana and used to live on a farm where they ate their own cows, chickens, eggs, etc. I'm realizing that this is what I'm working towards returning to. I go out of my way to grocery shop for grassfed beef, cow milks, cheeses, etc. pasture raised eggs, and things like that. I realized my gut was messed up via my eczema as well and that's where I focused my healing. I cut out all the processed crap and included kefir and grassfed yogurts into my diet to help my microbiome improve. It's so important that people hear this message because so many have been falsely informed about how "healthy" veganism really is. Definitely gonna try to get a gut test and watch the videos you linked as well. Again, thank you for your honesty and transparency. This is what true growth looks like✨
i feel like melanated people specifically should eat a plant based diet as we have the highest percentage of heart disease, diabetes & cancer due to our traditional eating habits! But if you want to eat meat just say “you want to eat meat” because nothing u said compares to the only scientific fact that humans a herbivores we have flat teeth to grind up veggies and nails (not claws) to peel fruits and veggies and our bodies should not break down animal products as we are not carnivores… only facts that still stand and matter… i’m on a spiritual journey and learning the cleaner ur diet is the stronger the connection and receiving of messages from ur ancestors is… it’s all connected but still showing support and gratitude to you & your channel… Ase !
I realized this several years ago. When I woke up spiritually, I was very sick with anemia, gut issues, mental and emotional sickness. At that point I started intermittent fasting, colon cleansing, and cutting a lot of things out of my diet. But over time I introduced more and more foods because I intuitively felt that it’s better to have a diverse biome. As my gut healed I was able to eat more and more foods that were irritants previously. This is a huge controversy within the spiritual community. But not all enlightened beings were vegetarians/vegans. It’s harmful to equate veganism to compassion and enlightenment. I believe it’s apart of the polarity that we are here to find our own balance within. What is truly good and what is bad? Of course I do not agree with the industrial agricultural index. However, the carbon footprint caused by importing foods, the people who are paid poor wages for that food, and the things mentioned about the animals who are effected by farming. Those are issues too. To me balance is more important. I’m blessed to live somewhere I can eat locally. But no one is truly faultless if you think about it that way.
this comment is resonating with me heavily, I’m currently extremely anemic and my periods are horrible. I struggle with consistently taking my iron vitamins but I’ve recently become pescatarian so no meat, only dairy and fish. however anytime I’m stressed or feeling nostalgic, I regress back into chicken. also I notice when my energy and blood levels are bad I crave beef but I feel awful within 2-3 days of eating it. still trying to find my way. do you have any advice based on your journey? I also have a 2 year old and I breastfed for 18 mos.
I was Vegan then RAW Vegan for a long time. I went back to meat and at first i felt more energy but then went down hill. Now i am back to plant based and feel better again. You have to drink lots of water get your herbs etc. If you have acne then something is wrong. We ened toknow what she was actually eating.
@@girlanonymous Obviously what she is doing is not working if she is leaving a plant based diet. Sometimes it takes a community of caring people to assist. There are many great minds and spirits out there.... Some we will never know about due to our broken community and isolated lives. I volunteer at a raw dairy micro-farm. Our raw milk, cheese, butter, cream, and whey taste NOTHING like the crap in the grocery stores. Raw dairy tastes alive and vibrant. I can feel in my body that it is a high-vibrational food. The most important thing is to make sure the cow has an organic, majority grass fed diet. We give our cows grass, alfalfa, hay, a couple scoops of grain, and leftover organic veggies from the garden. You can taste the essence of the cow in the raw dairy. It sounds crazy, but high quality raw dairy is truly magical and healing.
do you have any knowledge or information about raw dairy while pregnant? i’ve seen so many things that pregnant people need to only consume pasteurized products like milk and juices so i’m curious about raw dairy now!
@@dhsredhead Were they raw or pasteurized products? The entire point is that raw is completely different from pasteurized. I also have health issues from pasteurized dairy which is why I switched to raw and never felt healthier!
Fully support you sis 👏 So happy you made this video. I was vegan for 8 years and this year, finally fed up of experiencing gut issues, fatigue, anxiety and PMS, I started implementing a more balanced diet consisting of organic produce, pasture raised animals, bone broth, local pasture raised eggs, wild caught fish and ghee. I also have dehydrated beef liver. Best I've ever felt in my life 💚 Can't wait for more educational vids from you about diet and would love to see what you eat in a day!
@@cookie7241 Make your own! Save all bones in your freezer. Beef, pork, chicken, turkey, whatever. When you have a big batch boil it for days. The smaller bones will soften to the point you can crush them in your hand. Season to taste.
This was a powerful video. As a nurse you are not lying about the importance of breakfast. When I skipped breakfast before my shift started, I sometimes wouldn’t eat for another 6-8 hrs and would be starving and flustered on my unit. Listen to your body ladies!💕💕
I appreciate your journey because I did start eating vegan earlier this year and the benefits were amazing. Especially for PMS symptoms. I do eat fish and chicken occasionally now but it does affect my cycle so for me being Vegan most of the time is better me for so many health reasons. I also reversed my pre-Diabetes, high cholesterol and High Blood Pressure. We All have our Own health journey. I won’t stop being a supporter because of how you eat! Do you sis! Much love and thanks for your transparency!!
I have PCOS and hypothyroidism as well. Veganism makes the symptoms almost non-existent for me. I don't even have to take medication anymore thanks to a healthy whole foods plant based diet. Thanks for speaking Truth.
@Starr Love after two months vegan, my prediabetes left and never came back. It's been nearly 6 years. Highly recommend. Just don't go the woowoo restricted diet route and you'll never look back. 💗🌼
If you eat fish and chicken sometimes you are definitely NOT vegan. Vegans don’t have any animals in their diet or wear them as clothes. Vegan fir the animals is the only ethical veganism that’s real. Please don’t call yourself vegan. You are a occasion plant eater.
Girl, I see and I feel you!!! I used to be vegan for almost 7 years, all those years I was struggling with: - acne - pms - irregular menstruation - lethargy - problem with concentration - non stop BLOATING which was making me feel hopeless, furious, and hating my body image - sounds from my colon - water and blood in my stool (which was never perfect, always yellow and loose) - new and new food allergies - premature aging (I’m similar age as you) Etc etc etc First I added eggs what made a difference, but still not healed me as I was basically eating vegan still. As long as I didn’t eliminate veggies, seed oils, beans (only chickpeas are suitable for me), kale, spinach and another vegan processed foods, I was still having really poor digestion and acne, lethargy was worse and worse. I ended with a pregnancy bloated belly, depression, candida overgrowth. It was just too much, I decided to do something. I started from low carb diet, added bone broth. It helped almost immediately to get rid of most of my bloating. Then I tried… almost 90%… fruitarian diet to clean the waste in my colon, which really helped me normalize my stools and microbiota. (During that time I was eating eggs and salmon from time to time due to strong protein cravings). After some time I experienced again low energy levels, increasing lethargy. I really felt intuitively that something is really missing in my body and diet. So I made a decision. Switching to eating meat, broth, fish, lots of eggs, diary, supplementing buffalo liver pills and some amounts of fruits eaten separately made me feel like a brand new human being. Such a rejuvenation I am experiencing, heat coming from the inside of my body, high energy level, power for workouts, the skin is getting young and clear and more thick, metabolism is amazing and no cravings, no weight gain (even though I eat lots of saturated fats), no more messing up with my insulin. That’s my shortly told story, happy to hear people like you, brave enough to speak the truth ♥️🙏🏻 Blessings!🌸🕊
I believe that as we grow, we learn, explore and change from one thing to the next and as long as we are true to ourselves and love ourselves we will find what's right for us.
You were one of my guiding inspirations when I went vegan 3 years ago. Interesting to hear about your switch. Personally, veganism has helped me drop to and maintain my ideal weight. I feel healthy, no bloating and have plenty of energy. I get a few chin pimples a month and a longer cycle on occasion but it doesn't feel like a major deal. I'm afraid that if I go back to eating animal product the weight will come back and I won't be able to resist temptation 😬 Veganism gives me an easy excuse to avoid most sweets and cheese-laiden goodies. If I feel good, why change it? Although there could be more going on inside that I don't know about. Please do a video all about the gut testing 🙏 I'm intrigued!!! Thanks V, for sharing openly and honestly. Peace to you too ☮️
Please do a follow up video! This was so good and informative. I've slowly been integrating animal products, mainly eggs and some cheese from the village, and my body feels so much better. And I'm almost feeling shameful for feeling better by eating like this, but the body knows what it needs even if the head says otherwise.
This video came at such a perfect time for me because months ago I decided to stop labelling myself by what I eat (vegan, plant-based, etc.) and just eat what I want always, but still I kept feeling so much guilt around the animal products that I ate, and still do honestly. Thank you so much for this. I don't even have the words right now to even comment any of my own thoughts or questions haha but please, I would love a part 2, part 3, part 56 of this video. And thank you for the resources, I can't wait to go down the rabbit hole.
Have you ever considered taking like a year long break from social media? INCLUDING TH-cam? I just don’t see how anyone can truly be focus on healing and be on social media so often. This is something I’ve just come to terms with myself. Take only what resonates of course. 💚✨
Wow I agree with this so much! She’s going through A LOT right now it’s not the time for her to be broadcasting her highs and lows but bc it’s her income broadcasting her life… Here we are. I really feel bad for her bc she feels like she can’t just be honest and say she misses animal products she has to back it up with a bunch of bs “science” it’s just embarrassing to watch. 🤦🏾♀️
@@ori5222 Yeah the “sources” she provided truly are BS. Like a plant based diet is completely backed by real science. I’ve went backed to eating meat many times. My situation changed and being plant based just got harder I was pregnant and to lazy to cook so I caved. It is what it is. We aren’t perfect. I just kept it real with myself… I had nothing to prove. But I see it’s different when your on a platform like this.
Going extreme either way is not really the answer. We all need balance. Each individual has different issues at any point in time of their lives. It is important to get blood work done and a full assessment to see what is deficient and what is important for your body to operate optimally. For me, I need a simplistic diet with little or no animal products. When I have assessed others and my own immediate family, they are totally different. So, I buy quality butter, oils, pasture raised animal products, and raw milk for the household and support a local co-op. I understand my own limitations, yet support my family's dietary needs accordingly. Nice video!💜
The tone in your voice has changed and I feel a certain sense of power and clarity in it. I can tell you've stepped into your true power. Just having this convo is proof of your power in your truth 🧹🌑❤️
It's not power @momvolution. It's fear. She deleted my comments where I shared information for viewers informing them on ayurvedic principles to use for gut health. Most ayurvedic specialists are vegan , it is important information.
Thank you for speaking your truth. Oftentimes extremes are not the answer. Life is all about balance and finding something that works for you as an individual.
Some of y’all didn’t hear the part where she said get your gut tested to see what YOUR BODY IN PARTICULAR needs and it shows. She is telling us out of her own mouth what was going on with HER body. It’s amazing if YOU didn’t/don’t have the same experience, but she (and a lot of other folks) have this same or similar experiences. Get YOUR gut checked and see how YOUR body is doing and go from there. I’m sorry but that “I had to pause when she told us lard is good for us” comment had really got me tight asf. Her message is “getting your gut tested and having a balanced diet is beneficial and you should try it.” and some of y’all are acting holier than thou and ion likeeee det.
Annie people like to hang onto certain words in order to use them like a sword to tear apart a person. Like you said her message was to make sure one is tuned into their own body, have checks & know what is best for self......but we know folks don't know how to properly listen & it always shows! 🤦🏿♀️
She does say do whatever feels right for your body but then she contradicts herself by saying that she doesn't reccomend a vegan diet for anyone especially women- so what she's really saying is veganism isn't healthy. Also she probably just had a poorly planned plant based diet (as she stated she was on a raw diet) so attributing this to veganism as a whole is wrong.
Veganism isn't healthy long term, especially for women. That's an opinion she shared, along with also encouraging people to do what's right for their own bodies ❤️
You have grown into such an intelligent, thoughtful and loving woman. I respect you beyond words and you’ve inspired me throughout the years. So happy for you and I love seeing your thrive.
@@dannyHighfruit Humans aren't designed to eat a vegan diet long term. Just how Veladya said in this video, you just can't get all the nutrients your body needs from eating plants and grains. Our bodies rely on protein, rich fats and iron that come from consuming meat and other animal products like eggs. I do believe that there are various ways to maintain health for everyone's own individual bodies and I respect whatever diets others chose to eat. Aside from that, other animals eat other animals--and kill them in ways that leave them screaming and defenseless. It's all a part of the food chain. I don't necessarily love the taste of meat and have tried going vegan in the past because of it but my overall health and fitness progress was declining so I switched back to chicken, fish and eggs and my energy levels we're better, muscle gains were thriving and my hair and skin was also clear so my body reacted in a positive way. At the end of the day, humans are omnivores but you can choose whatever you want to eat.
Yesssss !! I’m so happy for you ! I was also vegan for almost 5 years. I finally stopped towards the end of 2019 Bc my health was declining so bad. Now that I’m eating animal foods sourced from the best places I can find I am thriving. I was honestly waiting to see when you were gonna make the switch. Idk why. I felt like you were gonna do this !
And yes the first week I started liver supps my energy was through the roof. I’ve since transitioned to eating raw liver and the benefits are freaking amazing !!
I’m confused about people getting over a year of following a diet before realizing their health is declining. You should notice or at least know when a diet is working for you or not within the first 3-6 months. I’m not 100% vegan but I know I noticed a difference within the first month when I went back to my doctor and my vitals looked better and my energy was better. I eat plant based 90% of the time now because not everyone in my household eats vegan so it’s hard trying to make 2 different meals, but I went 100% after I was hospitalized for health issues for 3 months and it improved my health and jump started me to eat mostly plant based for better health.
@@trynvegan it works for awhile and then it doesn’t. Some people when 10 years. Symptoms are diff for everyone and their lifestyles. And Veganism is very much a cult where people ignore what what they’re body is telling them Bc they don’t want to hurt animals. Great that it’s working for you. Not sure what else to tell you.
@@cacaoandcannabis8641 I’m confused about why some people take longer than a year to realize eating a plant based diet or vegan is not for them due to deteriorating health that should show up sooner in how you feel and blood tests within the first 3 months. I guess it depends on the type of people you follow who eat vegan. If the people you follow are making you feel like you’re in a cult that’s a red flag. Moderation is key, eat more of what’s good for you and a lot less of what’s not good for you.
I was Vegan for 9 years and was experiencing joint, low energy and dental issues. I’m slowly incorporating animal products. I’m excited to see what you eat in a day videos. Thank you!
I was vegan for 4 years. 1st year the best year of my life. 2nd year i felt my body had cleanse and now began to deteriorate. 2nd year of veganism i got gut problems, acne acne joint paint, started losing hair, 3rd year all my molars needed root canal and started to have mental issues. Year 4 I compared my photos and I was a completely a different shade of skin very yellow, very flat, my kidney developed stones, my sunken eyes were really noticeable, my face structure had changed. I gave it up. The healing process with meat, eggs, and good quality dairy has healed it all.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Quite literally since my 25th birthday my gut health has been the WORST and I struggle with PCOS! I haven’t been able to narrow down the info. I’m so excited to learn this from you!🧡
@Ellen Lane Yeah, a lot of people don’t realize that when are switching to a 100% plant based diet some people have to prepare their body to be able to eat that way because you have been eating meat for so many years. Lots of water and exercise helps a lot too for your gut as well.
Thank you for this video and sharing your story. About 2 years ago I switched to vegetarian then to a veganism because of watching vegans on TH-cam and because I thought it was the right thing for the environment and the animals themselves . Even though I was eating a decent amount and copying other vegan recipes I felt oddly weak. A little after, my body started to go downhill after about half a year so badly that I was basically bedridden. I couldn’t get up and shower without passing out. I got tested by my doctor and found out that I was severely low in most of my vitamins but that my vitamin b12 was pretty much nonexistent and my doctor basically told me that if I started a new diet that I should stop otherwise my body would never go back to normal. I would have never thought that my body would have responded that way towards a plant based diet but after switching back I feel amazing and I was actually able to get pregnant earlier this year after my body finally started to feel normal again. I respect others for their decision to be vegan but after my experience I can definitely say that it isn’t for everyone and that everyone’s body is different. My husband didn’t have the same reaction as I did to a plant based diet but like I said, everyone’s body has different needs we are not the same ♥️
Also meat-wise I never buy my meat from Walmarts or any stores like that I only get my meat from local meat-markets which helped my gut so much. We also raise our own chickens and ducks that we have harvested in the past. I don’t take animals for granted I appreciate every single bite of animal I eat and know that it is essential for my body. I recommend watching “what I’ve learned” on TH-cam on reasons why we need to eat animal fat and how it is not eating meat that causes environmental distress.
This was my same experience! My vitamin deficiencies almost took me out. I was almost bedridden too. I take b 12, b complex, vitamin D3 and eat chicken and Turkey abs of course eggs and cheese…no milk though and I feel so much better!
Thank you for this video. I just started reintroducing meat this week. I was vegan 8 years after growing up on and off vegetarian then have been eating eggs and cheese since 2021. I am hoping a more balanced diet will help relieve me of some hormonal and period issues and help me to lose weight. I have endometriosis and I know that my period will be painful but I am looking to specifically improve my digestion as a lot of my pain is related to BMs. THANK YOU!
There is no ONE SIZE FITS ALL diet or lifestyle, she is brave enough to speak her truth, it doesn't have to be everyone's truth and that is okay❤✌🏾☮ . I appreciate this openness and I know that it will help some ppl (myself included).
I've been going through the same thing!! I was vegan for almost two years and realized that it was making my relationship with food somewhat more unhealthy. I still haven't transitioned to eating meats again as I'm a little nervous for how my body will react, but I've been eating butter and cheeses again, and just learning how to have a more balanced diet rather than being known for being a vegan.
It's your mentality. Not the diet. Seek help from professionals with college certified educations. Not random women on the internet, please. Save yourself the confusion and suffering. Veganism is not responsible for your mental health struggles. I empathize with you greatly. Please do not fall for the woowoo logic of the woefully misinformed.
@@silentfriend369 I never said veganism was responsible for any mental health struggles. Reading is fundamental. I was just sharing my experience. Thank you though.
I haven't even finished watching the video, but I support whatever you choose to do, and personally I don't believe in a lifestyle of extremes of any sort, so although I don't love the factory farming industry, I choose moderation, so when I do consume meat it is very seldom or in small amounts and I find that's what works for me - but everyone is different!
Someone in the comments says they switched from vegans to eating intuitively. I co-sign that! Listen to your own personal body! Once you treat your addiction to sugar/salt/ etc (usually through fasting) it’s so EASY to tell exactly what your body is asking you for. And sometimes, it might be PROTEIN.
Thank you so much for speaking on this 🙏🏼 I switched to veganism a year ago when I found your channel for my own health and stuff. But the last few months of being vegan, I started to decline. My energy and overall wellbeing just starting declining. So I went back to eating meat about a month ago just to see and the first meal I had I felt totally fine, but extremely guilty. Nutrition is so confusing, especially for someone like me whose hormones are completely out of whack. I needed this video 🙏🏼 thank you so much, Veladya! Can't wait for your PCOS video, I've been struggling with mine for almost 10 years 😭
I’m not going to lie, I had almost the exact same thing happen to me. I was vegan for 4.5 years throughout college and then I moved to Atlanta. I was still vegan, but my entire lifestyle changed. There was no more miles and miles of walking to class, going to the gym everyday, and it wasn’t even me cooking all of my own meals anymore. Once my lifestyle changed, I started to feel that veganism wasn’t cooperating with my body any longer. So I switched back to animal products. I ate animal products for 3 years, until I eventually came back to veganism. Honestly, I feel like proclaiming this and that is a waste of time when it comes to someone’s diet. I got my degree in health sciences with a minor in chemistry and to be real the issue is how our food is being handled and produced on a global scale and how we consume it. ALL OF IT IS BAD, unless you’re growing/raising it yourself and even then you have to be conscious of where you’re purchasing your seeds/animals from. All of the companies are bad from Perdue to Vium. And this is not to bash anyones diet or choices. But with consumerism and the level in which humans consume not only foods, but skin care and beauty products, essential oils, nutritional powders, etc. How do we even know what’s really causing the damage? I’m sorry but no person or company is going to convince me that kale and sweet potatoes aren’t better for me than butter or a pork chop. lol it literally doesn’t add up. I think it’s okay for people to just say, I want to eat meat and/or animal byproducts. And it just be that and everyone will just have to accept it. At this point TH-camrs should be careful on diet advice in general, bc no one truly knows. And telling women we need things like animal fats in order to be healthy is a dangerous proclamation. But good luck on your meat journey my dear! I hope it restores the balance within your body. I think we will all continue to support no matter what you decide to eat at this point!
Love this ! People are still learning but teaching like they are satisfied where they are at.She use to research down why being raw vegan was the way .now doing the same energy with her transition. Just stop preaching what is right when she herself said she is still learning.
@@bbccensored4122 Exactly. Veganism is not just a diet and as plant based diets become more popular I'm seeing a lot more of a misunderstanding on what veganism is actually about, especially from youtubers.
@Hello It's K I worded that wrong I should of said we are not supposed to be consuming meat, read a book called mans higher consciousness, it’ll open your eyes if that’s what you want, or ignore me lol
I've been having PMDD, chronic brain fog and joint pain in my spine and shoulders for the past 5 years. I've been vegan for 6 years. I had other chronic health problems before veganism that were solved by eliminating conventional dairy and muscle meats (GERD, hyperthyroidism, obesity). I felt so energized and light after going vegan, but over time it has continued to deplete my health in other ways. I really believe it's about balance and empowered action. I added local organic honey first, then the occasional egg from my friends backyard chickens, organic, free range bone broth, and am looking into wild fish (I live on a lake) and beef liver. Thank you so much! This seems like a collective intuitive eating awakening. We were so duped by the vegan propaganda. ❤ love is the way forward.
This is very liberating. Our resistance and prejudices about eating meat without fully understanding our own personal metabolic system may cause shame and guilt ~ which are the lowest frequency to get into. This is about forgiveness. This is also about freedom. This can also be about love. #wakeupgrateful 😊

The greatest part about YOUR response is that it's YOUR opinion. Everybody has one. Keep having YOURS, it's yours to have and I'll continue to have mine because it's mine to have. Respectfully digressing.
Yes, evolve into your higher self by paying for innocent beings to be stabbed, gassed, suffocated, electrocuted, raped, tortured, mutilated, macerated. Makes sense.
@@shannonr8576 I'm never gonna respect this bullshit lol. You are not alone, we went vegetarian for a year and my hair started to fall out and my skin was full of pimples. Not so wonderful. I can honestly say I miss certain things about the meatless diet but it seems to affect my body just like yours. Do what feels right for you and your body... Sending love and light!
The microbiome in western societies is going extinct, especially when compared to Indigenous cultures living traditional lifestyles. The Indigenous microbiomes have crazy high levels of fiber-eating microbes. In studies, they put mice on a low fiber diet and their microbial diversity plummeted. And after a few generations on the low fiber diet, the microbiome started going extinct. And there are a ton of other reasons why our microbiome is under attack. Another recent study found that high fiber diets increased microbial diversity and lowered inflammation markers in those who had the most diverse microbiomes to begin with. People that had low microbial diversity actually had an increase in inflammation on a high fiber diet. It really seems like many of these reactions are due to the fact that our microbiome has been depleted and we can no longer digest the very things that make us healthy - plant fibers. Plant fibers produce short-chain fatty acids. SCFAs are the biomarkers of health in human beings.
I appreciate her expressing what is important to her. Let’s just say…vegan just wasn’t for her. I do not encourage anyone to just go eat saturated fats and butter without get blood work/tests done. What works for one may not work for another. Know what is best for you. Don’t want anyone to start eating butter and then end up having a heart attack. More importantly, if your gut is not healthy you will not assimilate nutrition very well.. You could be eating a good diet but not assimilating the nutrients. Know your body and what is best for your body! Don’t just go by how you feel…get blood work done to see if what you are doing is effective.
in a first moment I though just like you about the guts, but, by the video, it seemed to me that the bacteria in the gut was balanced because of the food change, so how would she balance the bacteria by eating the food that wasn't recomended to her gut health? it seemed that the diet was already wrong by the results of the test...
I had acne when I was vegan the first time because was eating too much soy. I try to live the alkaline lifestyle now though and cook everything with Whole Foods instead of processed foods
I stopped being vegan last year, because my skin on my arms was getting pretty bad. I was starting to get psoriasis on my scalp and ears and very dry skin on my face , and on my arms dry patches with white dots . I went through extensive research because I didn’t know what else to do. I couldn’t afford a dermatologist, so I put in the work to help myself . But I remember seeing a girl who spoke about how she was getting gum disease from being vegan ., I was in denial at first . So then pieces started coming together, and I started buying fish supplements. I couldn’t eat meat yet cuz I felt the guilt . And slowly I started to see a difference. The eggs were hard at first but then slowly incorporate them more and more and then chicken. One year later, the patches on my arms arm started to go away. There is scarring but, I try now ro eat as healthy as possible. I’m not perfect, but it has worked for me. I would like to do the gut test later on , to see what else I can do . I did feel guilty , I still do, but I’m a Indígena de Mexica. And remembering what my ancestors ate and what I ate in the farm as a kid. I had forgotten what farm life was like after arriving here in the US. We picked and grew our food. We had a connection to the land. And it’s what I am trying to honor now. I did loose my friend to ending my veganism journey. She couldn’t understand it even if it meant for my health . But I also understand now the connection to the animals and to us in the role we play together in this cycle we call life.
@@Glowritz1 I would have thought so , but I’m not allergic to really anything. I had read that too much soy isn’t good to be consuming too much. And literally everything plant based is aside from too much palm oil too , I did wrong by not checking the labels even if they were vegan based “
@@Cysne_Steff I heard that about soy too. I also heard the opposite. It's confusing. But I guess the saying "too much of one thing isn't good" applies in this case
So, let’s just blame it all n veganism right? What exactly were you eating??? Most people go vegan but don’t educate themselves on the right substitutions and proper diet.
I relate to this video so much. I tried veganism for over a year and I got sick. My gut health was out of whack. Every time I ate grains of any type, I got super bloated and sick. It was hard to change but my body was telling me very clearly that it didn't like the all plant-based diet.
Same! My body feels so much better after reintroducing animal foods, I can eat anything now while on a vegan diet I struggled to digest most of the foods.
Interesting….my acne and gut healed on a plant based lifestyle and I had the worst issues eating animals and animal byproducts. I guess everyone is different. There are also metaphysical reasons as to why acne and other health issues manifest. I do feel everyone needs to do what’s best for them and follow their intuition. Also toxic penis and sexual partners can imbalance our guts. There are many many factors. Lots of love 💗
I healed my liver cirrhosis on a raw vegan diet in only six months. That was eight years ago. Since then I've became an ultra marathon runner. . .. I've burned tens of thousands of calories over these past five years of ultra marathon running. I feel awesome.. ... I really would like to know what these vegans that go back to eating dead, burnt, corpse (meat) were doing. I find them to be mentally ill. I feel all people that eat burnt flesh are mentally ill. Especially the ones that were once vegan (they are especially schizophrenic). Not trying to be rude, just my honest and scientific opinion.

Everything is telling us to look and listen within for our own divine guidance at this time in our evolution. Much respect to all you young people shaking things up.
Good for you, each to her/his own. My experience has been exactly the same. I was vegan from 2016- 2018 then transitioned back to meat cause my body told me so :). I also just had a baby and I am so grateful I transitioned back before I fell pregnant. Peace and positivity sis
I myself was vegetarian for about 5 years. It's crazy that my A1C was high and I was prediabetic. I am now back to eating meat and have gained a lot of my lost weight back, but my body feels better.
Yup. I tend to find my most healthy balance in eating intuitively based on my ancestry. I tried vegan and vegetarianism based on my ex being really into Dr. Sebi's work and lost tons of muscle mass which spiraled into uncontrolled fat gain, weakness and hormone imbalances (strangely, the answer when I said I thought it wasn't working for me was "you must not be doing it right"). After researching my ancestry and seeing several cultures along my ancestry raising and eating cattle and lots of veggies I recalibrated my diet causing me to be in the best shape of my life.
Say it louder for the people in the back sis.📢 So proud of you for coming out & sharing your journey with your community. I experienced everything you describe to a T. Transitioned back starting with eggs & beef liver capsules.. now I’m eating animal protein 2-3 times a week and have no restrictions around my diet. Liberation & a deeper layer of my spiritual journey. Honoring you through this process && holding space. 💕✨💕
Lastly, what I personally learned that deepened my "spiritual journey" is that putting ourselves in any box (IE: vegan) is limiting us to the FULL human experience. I deeply believed to be a "spiritual" individual I had to be vegan. Even though my body was deteriorating and i was ill on many levels (mental, emotional, and physical). That is simply false, hence my statement that over coming this limiting belief that you must be a certain way to be "spiritual" expanded me immensely. It took a lot of emotional and mental work with a professional naturopathic doc to even allow myself to consider going back to animal products & receive the healing. & even when I started the process, it was the results that solidified this new perspective. Our bodies speak and they speak loud. Just some perspective to ponder on. Again, this is my experience & everyone's body and experience is different. Mahalo.
@@kellyaleynah1302 do you know who speaks louder than our bodies? The billions of animals in slaughterhouses screaming for their lives because humans can't learn how to eat properly and give up the taste of dead bodies.
Ex vegan of 3+ years here! The cystic acne lasted most of the entire 3 years for me on top of all of the other horrible issues I was having from the diet/lifestyle. When I transitioned back to meat, fish, and eggs it cleared up within 3 months. I don’t need foundation or any makeup at all anymore 🥲
Earth Mama I heard about you through watching Ryan on his YT channel Happy Health Vegan regarding your perspective on veganism. I took the time to watch your entire video to understand why you gave up being a vegan. I respect your decision to start eating animal products again, but found that some of the information you shared regarding the benefits of animal products wasn't supported with peer reviewed medical studies. What the science has overwhelmingly shown in comparison to animal-based diets are vegans tend to have better health outcomes when it comes to conditions such as cardiovascular disease & cancer. I note that you didn't mention seeing a doctor or specialist, & getting an assessment done to look in more depth to the roots of your health issues. There're vegans who have been practicing this lifestyle for decades and are still healthy. I also didn't understand what you were saying about the problems we vegans have in terms of bioavailability issues with proteins & fats. Where are the peer reviewed science supporting this statement?
@@aaronthomas6183 Sorry Aaron that is incorrect. Protein is created from amino acids, which are in plants. Where do you think for example a cow gets protein from, & looks muscular? Meat may be 1 form of protein, but not the only one.
Well spoken! Maybe she only wanted to eat meat, based on her beliefs changing and is trying to show as if being vegan isn't that good, as an excuse for less backclash...
Yesssss! I love this! I think it’s very important to eat intuitively. A lot of our ancestors understood that. As a Indigenous and African woman my ancestors ate/used the WHOLE animal. Genetically m y body needs animals and earth. 🤎 I love this information becus it put it in “scientific” form 😂 I try to tell my spiritual vegan friends this all the time but they think I’m just making excuses. I’ll share this. 😂🤣
Woman, you have turned my perspectives about clean eating upside down. Your findings and sharing of them are very much appreciated. I tend to follow my innate inner compass and at times I do feel bad for slipping and eating fish eggs and chicken and turkey, but something inside also helps me cope with the guilt and now I understand why. I’m glad I follow the beat of my own drumming.
Thank you for sharing your truth, you’re utterly radiant! I had the same thing come up for me in my journey with Veganism. I had never dealt with pms or painful cramping until a year and a half into a strict Vegan diet- so bad I would be puking and writhing on the floor with a heat pad held to my abdomen. I was in absolute denial, I thought I wasn’t a “good enough vegan” I would plug my food intake into cronometer daily to make sure I was getting enough proteins, vitamins/minerals, I started to do detoxes, looking to vegan gurus and books to find answers, going raw, loosing soo much weight and eventually loosing hair. It took spending time volunteering and farming with a local native community walking the red road and listening to functional medicine doctors that I started to loosen my mental constraints. Yes! Those beautifully nourishing bioavailable minerals, proteins, fats, and vitamins found in animal proteins are vital. Now eating grass fed pasture raised butter, organic eggs, fish, and limited animal proteins my hair is growing back(I have little baby hairs popping up all over my hairline haha) and NO more cramps!! I haven’t had a painless period in so long and instantaneously with my switch back to eating animal protein- there was nothing, my heat pad has stayed tucked away for months now. For anyone feeling guilty about craving animal proteins or switching back, you’re not alone and doing what’s best for your body is the ultimate form of self love. The positive effect that regenerative farming has on soil health is astounding- without healthy soil there is no future. ❤️
Your a dirty liar. Veganism was not the problem. If Olympic athletes can get gold medals against omnis then you and any and every other human can live, thrive off of plants. Are you a bot? Are they paying you to paste this trash?
The only thing she did not tell us was the truth. She was never vegan. She never ate healthy and tried to blame all health problems on the diet… she doesn’t know anything …
I was Vegan for 5.5 years and had to switch my diet back to animal products as well. I had alot of acne as well as depression and anxiety while vegan. I spoke about it in a video on my youtube channel. Im glad you shared this video.
I’m someone who has been vegan for over 10 years, was open to eating meat during pregnancy if my body & baby desired it but found the idea repulsive, and don’t have any gut imbalances (though I have a “mask rash” ughhhh, that has turned into eczema flare ups for the first time in my life??), but am open to hearing others! I know that even with over a decade of veganism, that everyone’s body is different, how can it not be? And I know that some of us can switch to diet A or B or C and see the same results. There is so much variation and I love intuitive eating for that reason. We can be “both and” right? We can (when accessible) support regenerative farming practices + diets that cause the least harm to animals AND us. That second part is going to look different for most of us. Though I will say, the fact that MOST PEOPLE can’t/don’t have access to the grass-fed XYZ and are getting factory farmed meat, does this mean that that option is more ideal than a plant-based one? I don’t think so. There’s so much to unpack here and I guess what I’m trying to say is, thanks for being honest, listening to your body, and sharing your experience. Be well V!
It´s epigenetics. If your anchestors did eat a lot of greens, you will be much more healthy if you follow a plantbased diet. If your anchestors ate mostly meat, your body might be having a lot of problems if you try a completely vegan diet.
This makes me feel better about letting go of veganism. I have been vegan since 2016, but last summer I was diagnosed with a list of chronic health issues, one of which involves heavy diet restrictions. I've been trying, but it's just too hard to eat enough nutrients balancing the diet restrictions and veganism. Im scared to lose the control I have with veganism but I know it's what I need to do for my health
Are you folks living in the North Pole? And why are you following a restrictive vegan diet? Makes no sense. It’s veganism in 2022 not Veganism in 1992.
I feel the same way, I've been vegan for 4 years but dont feel very well but I'm going to feel so bad to eat animals after so many years of being against it.
I LOVE that you are talking about this! I am LOVING what I'm seeing in the comments! Y'all the problem was never eating animal products, the problem was always with large-scale agricultural practices not just in animal agriculture, but all across the board. Before transitioning back to a eating animal foods, I also started slowly by taking liver pills. My energy and mental clarity rebounded almost immediately. I was like a freaking miracle! I finally decided to stop resisting the idea of eating meat and to give it a try. So I did and I will never turn back again. I agree that veganism can be a good short term strategy for some but long term it really messed up my hormones, metabolism, teeth, hair, adrenals, and so on. I have been eating meat for 3 years after being vegan for 11 and I still have not fully rebounded BUT I am on the path to healing.

Thanks for making this video. I was vegan for 8 years until Friday night. Still going through somewhat of an identity crisis over it, but the fatigue and brain fog was getting overwhelming. I was battling a cold the last week and the day after eating meat, I woke up and was better. I’m an athlete and already feel so much stronger with more energy.
I had the opposite happen to me. Since being vegan I no longer have PMS or PCOS. My hair is healthier and longer and so is my skin. Moral of the story is to do what is best for you. Please do not do a diet because someone else is doing it. Everyone is different.

Exactly!! She is full of shit plus the "facts" are b.s and made up smh
She is admitting that she was wrong. Nothing wrong with that.

I got to try that bone broth, thanks.
Beef, chicken and turkey are great, go for it. Happy you left the vegan losers
I relate. After being vegan for years I started eating fish, eggs and bone broth and it has helped me feel so much better!
You healed yourself so that you could become balanced! 😌
My story was similar I just think to each our own because we are all different I went back to eating meat but not as much as before I became vegan I will never go back to that but for my individual health eating organ meat is healthier but this isn’t going to be the case for everyone.
My thoughts exactly I don't know how I can do it though I feel so bad to eat animals, I darent but I feel so horrid..
Love, congrats to you and ya bundle of joy

@@lag1851 ethical vegans do transition back if their bodies start to fail eating a vegan diet. That is the end of what being an ethical vegan means, choosing not to consume out of the belief that no animal is lesser than us and all animals deserve to live and not be tortured. the most sustainable/least harm diet is a local, seasonal, non-globalized diet. end of story. i am vegetarian myself. but that goes for any diet that you choose. factory farmed ANYTHING isn't good for the environment or for you energetically. the closer you are to your consumption the better. that goes for everythingggg you surround yourself with, not just food.
False.

Listen to your body. You will know. Some stay and some go. It is true of many diets for many reasons for many people. Do whatever is best for you.
I've been vegan for 14 years. Restricting yourself and only eating 'healthy' foods is what makes most go back to eating animal products.

Food freedom is the way to go✨
Which is entirely possible as a vegan.

I volunteer at a raw dairy micro-farm. Our raw milk, cheese, butter, cream, and whey taste NOTHING like the crap in the grocery stores. Raw dairy tastes alive and vibrant. Girl, I see and I feel you!!! I used to be vegan for almost 7 years, all those years I was struggling with:
- acne
- pms
- irregular menstruation
- lethargy
- problem with concentration
- non stop BLOATING which was making me feel hopeless, furious, and hating my body image
- sounds from my colon
- water and blood in my stool (which was never perfect, always yellow and loose)
- new and new food allergies
- premature aging (I’m similar age as you)
Etc etc etc
First I added eggs what made a difference, but still not healed me as I was basically eating vegan still.
That’s my shortly told story, happy to hear people like you, brave enough to speak the truth ♥️🙏🏻
Blessings!🌸🕊
Why do you eat fruits etc on different time from meat etc? If I may ask

This is completely synergistic 😌 Thank you for being bold enough to share your change! It's beautiful and such an inspiration!♾
Peace to you too ☮️
Sweet one, probiotics will be enough if you're worried. Feed them fiber rich foods. 💗🌼🙏
Peace beautiful beings. Yes, that means animals too!! Hello??????
Well said!

You people are sleeping somin real
She literally spend the majority of this video sharing misinformation with you.
Idk why.
@@trynvegan what is there to be confused about. ?
@@trynvegan it works for awhile and then it doesn’t. Some people when 10 years. Symptoms are diff for everyone and their lifestyles.

@@Theherbalempress I wish we had a local meat market in my area.
Thank you for this video. I just started reintroducing meat this week. I was vegan 8 years after growing up on and off vegetarian then have been eating eggs and cheese since 2021.
Just eat vegetarian then?
It's your mentality. Not the diet. Seek help from professionals with college certified educations. Not random women on the internet, please. Save yourself the confusion and suffering.

Lastly, what I personally learned that deepened my
"spiritual journey" is that putting ourselves in any box (IE: vegan) is limiting us to the FULL human experience. Mahalo.

Came here to say this. Thank you.
The reviews are in the dream land where she got her story from
You only get protein from meat because the animal is eating grass read the African holistic book
@@aaronthomas6183 Sorry Aaron that is incorrect. Protein is created from amino acids, which are in plants. Where do you think for example a cow gets protein from, & looks muscular? Meat may be 1 form of protein, but not the only one.

Be well V!
Would u ear a dog
It´s epigenetics. If your anchestors did eat a lot of greens, you will be much more healthy if you follow a plantbased diet. If your anchestors ate mostly meat, your body might be having a lot of problems if you try a completely vegan diet.
Didn’t know babies naturally desired type 1 carcinogens.
Are you sure that you are getting the correct medical and nutritional advice?
Get a good multi vitamin powder or drink, to get all the essentials in
Are you folks living in the North Pole? And why are you following a restrictive vegan diet? Makes no sense. It’s veganism in 2022 not Veganism in 1992.
@@ConGamePro Clearly explained, because of chronic health issues.
We are being called to REWILD ourselves and our beautiful planet! Our ancestors hunted free, wild animals and got their fruit and veg directly from the Earth. Let's get back to our true nature!! 💗
Back to nature?
While you watch TH-cam videos?
Must be nice to pick and choose when to appeal to nature.

Lady, this isn't a Disney film.
You're talking about rewilding and you're answering a youtube comment on the internet.
@@discovering.infinity Also, I don't need your love. I just need you and others to stop justifying animal slaughter under those same words.
Nothing lovable about a slaughterhouse floor or a mother cow having her baby taken so you can drink what wasn't meant for you in the first place.
@@itsamirageee this is a pointless debate. You don't need to understand what I'm trying to say, and you also don't need to impose your beliefs on me either. There are multiple truths true at once in a multidimensional universe. Honour your truth while respecting the truth of others and may a fragmented world meet loving integration. Lots of love to you 💗

How about don't encourage animal slaughter?
Before transitioning back to a eating animal foods, I also started slowly by taking liver pills. My energy and mental clarity rebounded almost immediately. I was like a freaking miracle! I finally decided to stop resisting the idea of eating meat and to give it a try. So I did and I will never turn back again. I agree that veganism can be a good short term strategy for some but long term it really messed up my hormones, metabolism, teeth, hair, adrenals, and so on. I have been eating meat for 3 years after being vegan for 11 and I still have not fully rebounded BUT I am on the path to healing.
Ohhh!
I’m so grateful for this video!! I’ve been vegan for almost 6 years and this year recently started transitioning out of it by being vegetarian (eating lots of eggs along with honey and dairy) but am most likely going to start eating meat again but like you said i’m sooo scared 😅 i ate salmon once at my friends wedding and felt fine after so i know i can make it over that hill! i’m definitely looking into a gut test now so thank you for that suggestion and for sharing your experience! much love 💜💜🙏🏼🙏🏼
😔
@@roxywyndham i see you commenting in disagreement on comments that are in agreement with Veladya and i would’ve reacted the same a few years back when i was vegan so i understand but i send you love and i hope you can find peace to continue in this ever evolving conversation with love like she asked in the video instead of name calling others “delusional” for simply speaking their truth as that brings no one no where 🙏🏼💜 we are no better or worse than our brother/sister next to us
may i ask whether you also had health issues or how youve decided to transition back?
@@behabtwa hi! my body never reacted positively to veganism and i knew this from the beginning but pressed on bc i was so stuck that veganism was the only way/answer! but as my acne never cleared, bloating never went away, weight gain/unstable weight, and thinning hair i knew i needed to get real with myself that something was off and i need to change. i’ve always believed that we heal from within and thought veganism was the only diet to do so. but like Veladya said in the video everyone’s body are soo different! ✨ ive done all the vegan diet variations too (rt4, fully raw, and high carb low fat) i’ve done intermittent fasting too nothing was making me feel good and even spiraled me into disordered eating which is a whole other conversation lol! I haven’t gotten a gut test yet but am researching them now and i’m so excited to see my personal results. I hope this answered your question! 💜
I'm not understanding why you are going back to meat?
Thanks for making this video. I was vegan for 8 years until Friday night. Still going through somewhat of an identity crisis over it, but the fatigue and brain fog was getting overwhelming. I was battling a cold the last week and the day after eating meat, I woke up and was better. I’m an athlete and already feel so much stronger with more energy.
do you have an update as to how you're getting on now? did you gain clarity over the identity crisis?
