I’m not sure if the rule book says this or not but I’m not sure if you get to setup your entire turn and then decide if you want to calipers that turn or not….. I kinda feel like it’s a decision you have to make at the end of your turn and stick with.. I may be wrong I’m not trying to be right but since that’s how it works in the video game (sort of) then I would assume you would decide if you wanted to keep the block at the end of your turn before you saw what cards you had.
I see where you are coming from. I don't think the book says anything. The relic says 'once per combat, keep your leftover block from last turn' and as far as I'm aware once per combat means you can activate it whenever you want. I understand where you are coming from a flavour point of view though.

It’s going to take 487 years to send to me because I’m too excited about it…. lol anyway in your opinion what is the most fun board game that you have played that is similar to this one? A board game with co-op too that’s important! So what’s the best one you’ve played that I can buy, money is no issue..
Unfortunately I'm not really the best person to answer this. I don't have a large library of board games sadly. I don't have any deck builders like slay the spire. I really want to try and get more games (like I did with mage knight) and start experimenting. My short list of things to play after I move house is: Call to adventure Mage knight Dark souls Bloodborne I'm sorry I couldn't really answer the question lol, I did a lot of research to get mage knight. A lot of people recommend 'spirit Island' as a great coop game but I haven't played it. As far as video games go, I like monster train, which is kind of similar. I tried a demo for claymores of the lost kingdom which really caught my eye (I put a TH-cam video out on this)

I looked into several options and honestly none really stand out to me nearly as much as sts… the game is just so well balanced and my favorite part is how simple the mechanics are. I have told my whole family about this but even if you’ve never played the game before I could explain every single detail in 5 min while setting up so that you knew every characters strengths and best card types and playstyles as well as the enemy curve and strengths. It looks like the other board games are so complex. Like one card has a paragraph on it…. Sts is so simple “cost one energy, deal one damage”. Stuff like that makes this game far superior to any other game in my imo.. but your comment helped a lot. I like several games you listed just not enough to buy them and try them when I don’t even have the time to play them consistently.. haha

Nice run! In my personal opinion, I think what hurt this deck the most was that it was a bit bloated. I would've tried to remove dualcast and zap , and take a few more skips, and early on I would've taken hologram over leap, going sort of all in on building your strength. Its hard to say though, cause the early rewards were pretty rough. Thanks for the vid, they're helping me bide my time until my copy gets shipped!
You make a great point, hologram is one of my fav cards as well. I don't know why my play style has changed but I haven't been skipping as much lately and I need to, the decks are getting huge lol. You will have to let me know when you get your copy! 😊

Or upgrading zap and dualcast so they are zero cost, which would sunrise synergize more. I also would have grabbed hologram to potentially get more strength for scaling or set up claws/ zero cost synergies.
Taking Leap and eqilibrium is a terrible choice so early. You want damage over defense at the start. A dead opponent doesn't need to be blocked. Doom and Gloom and Hologram would have been the better choice.
I see you do not know the power of upgrading zap and duel cast, they both become 0 cards and are just a good combo together, i love the defect, but my priorities are always upgrade those 2 😆 🤣 we do play different, that is what i love about this game!
In the video game zap is almost always my first upgrade, same with eruption for watcher or neutralise for the Silent. I've been trying different things while playing the board game and it's lots of fun. I love games (like this) where there are multiple characters with multiple play styles each. No matter what you do a run is so different :) Do you usually go heavy orbs for the defect? In the board game I gravitate to a power card build usually 😎
@Kangorth well I had a crazy storm build in the board game, but lost to stabby book 😆 🤣 but I could summon so many lightning, but as you can see not good, but fun! In the video game I go heavy on orbs always 😆 I normally lose but I have a great time doing so 😆 but the zero cost zap and duel cast in the board game is still good if you can get it early

where did you get the card protectors for the act bosses and little ones for the potions/relics?
A company called King of sleeves! 88x125mm and 44x63mm. They fit perfectly and work really well, one pack each did the trick!
