I've loved this song since 2000s! I didnt expect there were others who listened to it. One of the best song ever, the music is catchy and the singing is amazing
This is actually from 1995's Image Album "Slayers Etcetera 1", several unreleased and rare tracks for first TV season of Slayers. Re-released in 2008 via Megumix. Later re-release sounds a bit different due to remixing, I personally prefer 1995's vanilla (literally on a vinyl, lol) sound more (Masami's vocals were toned down/receded in re-release, she's more pronounced in the original rendition of this song, Megumi basically "hogs it all for herself" in remix).

@@starwing6110 I understood that just fine, I was just pointing out that this was made and released much earlier than 2000's. It's important to mention this, because many people nowadays know this song only via it's Megumix rendition from 2008, sincerely believing that Megumi got back together with Masami to record this in mid-2000's, which is a very big misunderstanding and a huge misconception, because this was created in and existed since the mid-90's. Masami Okui and Megumi Hayashibara are true lifelong friends both in job and IRL, but they've stopped doing duets and collaborations after Slayers Try years (probably because it flopped hard), going their solo careers. Situation was worsened with later Megumixes (Megumixx/Megumixxx, specifically), as Megumi did solo rehashes of their previously-duo songs with Masami being removed completely. I personally outright hate those egotistical remixes, they just sound and feel very wrong. I don't know what happened that caused Megumi to do it, but it was definitely not a good thing to do in the slightest.
Oh my I finally found this song! I've been looking for a duet song by Megumi Hayashibara and Masami Okui I got to listen to a lot when I was yoynger years ago but the ones I remembered were only Kujikenaikara and Get Along. All I know is that this one had them singing "Suki... suki..." just before the chorus. Ahhh the nostalgia 😊

Yeah. It's forgotten now. I know there are many beautiful songs like this. And also I love velvety soft voice of Megumi Hayashibara 🙌
This is the remixed version of "Nemurenai yoru wa." The remix is one of my all time favourite Megumi / Slayers songs.
