In this video, I review my Meepo mini 2 electric skateboard. This board is basically a $379 Boosted mini electric skateboard. The Boosted mini costs twice as much, is slower and has less range than the Meepo mini 2.
This board is amazing but it comes with some issues. In this video I talk about the few cons such as Meepo's shipping issues, Meepo's customer service issues and a known factory defect with the board. More importantly I talk about the many good points about this board, the good far outweighs the bad.
If you are looking at buying any of the following electric skateboards Inboard, boosted, evolve, or razorx be sure to take a long hard look at Meepo and their great electric skateboards.

The shipping is terrible right now, probably 50 days after i purchased it (North America), but it was worth the wait. This thing is FAST.
I've been skateboarding for 18 years and this is really what made me start to wear a helmet. I'll be going 20mph and hit full throttle and it will send me flying back, and the brakes equally as powerful (this is all in the highest speed mode (pro). This is all great for my preference but will take some getting used to, and the board is great for popping off curbs and rough cracks on the road. I Bought the non-ER, which was already upgraded with the 6.0 esc thankfully, and I have hit the 29mph on flat-ground (I weigh 210lbs).

I just got a meepo mini 2 standard range today, as well as a $1100-1500 AT board from vestar, which is awesome. However.... The meepo mini 2 is so good for the price that it has diminished the value of the other board in my mind. If you're considering options for different boards and getting close to the $1000 price, my opinion would be to buy 2 of the mini 2 or v3 (based on preference, or 1 of each) and do that. You'll always have spare parts to keep 1 running while you wait on shipping, and an extra battery to get you the ER range. For $380 the meepo mini 2 is an insane value!

you have the 5.0 esc. i got my meepo with a 6.0 thank god. 500 miles in, the pu slipped over the "hubcap" and i ate concrete at speed. ordered the 100mm pu sleeves, and shipping took 40 days. everything is great, even a car ran over my mini2 and she only took minimal damage. these things are worth the money.
Do all new mini 2s have the 6.0 esc? I ordered mine about a week ago.
Guys, please get the ER. I made the mistake of getting the standard at only a month (75 km) of riding, one of my wheels started having the same random braking problem he mentions in the video. Now I have to through this warranty process. Please just get the ER and avoid this headache. It almost threw me off my board.
Advantage for the Standard board is that you can bring it on planes. For the extended range, the battery is not allowed.

if you decide that you want the extra speed and range as the mini 2 ER you can just buy the battery you dont have to Buy the entire new board. it costs $300 so its $100 more than if you just bought the ER in the first place

@@TheComebackKidFYI, the new standard Mini now come with the same ESC, and remote as the ER. They recently changed it probably due to the defects. The only difference now is the milage. They both top out at the same speed now. Just ones battery lasts longer :).
They both now come with the 'MR Screen Remote Controller Meepo v3' remote.
All the new Mini standard youtube reviews and unboxing have that remote now.
Also, they have a sticker stating ESC 6.0? which is the same as the ER now. I think Meepo is doing quite well by doing this.

The mini standard now comes standard with the v6 lingyi ESC and it also now comes with the MR remote with the screen on it just like the ER. The only difference between the standard and the ER is the battery and charger it comes with.

Great vid. I yes!!!!! meepo really needs to get the shipping figured out. I ordered mine 2 weeks ago and since I'm in Hawaii they said it needs to ship to the states and then to Hawaii and it hasn't even gotten to the states. I hope I get it within the next 5 years otherwise I might be to old to ride it. But yes definitely get the ER. I almost bought another boosted but started looking at other brands just find something with more range.
It would be 440 right now with fast shipping. I feel like getting the ER version pushing 700 price tag I would rather buy a different board. Hi Theo. The brakes on the board are great. On very steep hills I can come to a full stop, I’m 6’ 215lbs, the brakes work great. So, yes the speed control downhill is great. Thanks for watching.

Hi Alesio. First off thanks for watching. If you have the money, I would suggest getting the ER, getting the standard is my only regret. I bought my Meepo mini last fall, I rode it in the fall, winter and now spring, that’s how I put the 500+ miles on my board. Thanks again for watching!

I must have ordered mine after they upgraded the standard to the new ESC. Zero problems and you can unlock the speed modes in medium. I highly recommend the 100mm PU sleeves for this board.

Funny thing, I actually bought the meepo mini 2s ER but it has a weird problem kinda similar to your problem. When I start peddling the board it has that problem where it just seems to stay in brake, like when I try to push it with my foot to go it feels like Board has the brakes on. I’m probably going to have to Emil them about it because I’m lucky I catch the difference when I’m on it. Also feel like it’s a beat slower like the brakes are affecting how much it goes
Man, I’m super tempted to get one! But I’m torn between whether getting the er or not. Hmmm. Because I’ve long boarded for a while I know that riding long is a ton of fun, but idk if I want to ride that long. Or will it feel like a shorter amount of time with the electronics that it’s got on it?

r you sure riding it with the motors turned off has no potential damage to the motors? if its on and your pushing it / regen braking that seems ok but i know like most electronics your not supposed to move then motors when there off like rc cars or pc fans etc. you said it rides like a regular board if the battery dies and that was the one thing that had me hesitant in buying one vs actual board or electric scooter. when i looked up online if you can ride electric skate with dead battery it came up with all sorts of stuff on how you CANT ride them soon as they loose power either due to the friction of the motors or potential damage and even models that r designed to switch between electric and manual say its not recommended to run the board like that long term. i will go run and buy this if i can ride it like a normal skateboard toooo!

I just got mine! For me it took me about two months to get it!
1 month shipping seems perfectly normal to me. My phone was two and a half months for shipping which I class as barely acceptable. My dad had ordered something of value at it took over 8 months to arrive
Adam, when I ordered my meepo mini 2 in 2019 Meepo stated the shipping would take no more than 14 days, when my board showed up two months later, that is not acceptable.
@@TheComebackKid when I ordered mine it said that they would take two weeks to get it shipped, plus more time for shipping. Doesn't matter much anyway they sent me a broken board

Hi 9. If I could do it again I would have bought the ER. I love the mini but, the ER would give me more range which would be great. I get 10 miles right now which is still really good.
Order it on Amazon. Shipping is quick and if you get it on prime day you can get it for cheaper than on meepos website
Based on these comments I assume sometimes it's on Amazon - but currently it is not.

Bruh when dealing with Chinese 1 to 2 month shipping is normal , sadly it is how it is, if you don't pay for fast shipping, I've bought extended mini 2 , costed like 1000$ slow shipping + taxes, oh and er is heavy in hand , quite a lot

@@DaEskahuit I'm living in Slovakia , there was 20% import tax + 4% some other fee for goods above 350€? ( Something like that it's called "clo" in Slovakia ) , + the fee for company which going thru the customs ( this is not optional , as it's automatically picked for you, they fill documents and ship it to your door from customs ) it's local post office company , the whole process was like email which asked me for a receipt and copy of payment from my bank, then they bumped up the price and it is up to you if you going to pay it, or not. Total cost was around 34% something like that and month and half was shipping + over 20 days to clear customs, clearly not 1000$ as I mistakenly stated but it's quite a bump over

@@dewdrop1508 Hi Dewy. If you bought a meepo within like the last year, you have the latest ESC and will not have issues. The ESC I replaced works flawlessly well, until I got bit by a dog on my meepo! I should make a video about that situation....
Hey! Why would you prefer the ER? I'm so stuck in between the two. This will be my first board. The standards saves a lot of money, & the Er is out of stock right now. I know the range is more but what makes it worth the extra $200?
Hi Jailine. I would have bought the ER for the extended range of the board. I get a solid 10 almost 11 miles of range on my board but it would be awesome to get over 20 miles of range.
There's a kid as a friend he is 15 years old he's talking talking his dad that he want it and I had the the long one The V3 and I told him it's not safe cuz on my I flew off of it several times I like the board everything but it's really not safe for him to drive it I'll let him ride it for a little bit and he talked about he went to level four is something it could have happened towards him it'll be my fault I don't think it's really safe for him to drive it he can flew him off because the brakes really that good or you can get hit by a car and flew off somewhere that's why I keep telling him hope he doesn't get it

Hound if you just bought it then it might have the ESC 6.0 Flux by LingYi (not sure if the V3 has the latest ESC) . That is the newer ESC and I believe doesn’t have that issue. It is supposed to have smoother acceleration and braking as well. What I know for sure is that I ordered a Mini 2 standard (25 days ago) and it comes with the newer ESC. You might have to dig in the meepo website and they have lots of info on their updates and changes

Jose zavala the remote. If it has the small screen with 4 speed modes then I think it has the new ESC. The older ESC comes with a remote with no screen I think.

Whats the difference between mini 2 and mini 2 ER?
Hi Seiko. According to a recent study by the Wall Street journal, the main difference is that you are 33.5% more likely to pick up chicks on the Meepo mini 2 standard than you are on the extended range version.

I posted a video of aride i did on mine. I reccommend 100mm "All Terrain- Unstoppable" wheels on the front. Coz the wheels arent completley flat it doesnt bounce around so much. Also 100mm PU covers on the rear wheels. I got the hobbywing ER version. My board did the same thing, despite the different ESC....hmmm

Hm, thats weird. I ordered mine (the ER version) at the end of April with standard shipping, and it just arrived yesterday. Didn't have any problems putting an order in.
Hi Christopher. Now that you mention it, yes, I too could not order my meepo mini 2 with my credit card. I tried like a dozen times and it kept getting rejected, I actually forgot about this because Meepos shipping took so long. What I did to fix it was I contacted Meepo directly and had them run my credit card and my order was instantly placed. I could not submit my order via their website for the life of me because my card kept getting rejected. I was so irritated about the incredibly long shipping times that I actually forgot that I dealt with the credit card rejection issue too. Hope this works for you too pal, you'll love the board...when it arrives by Christmas :)
Yo bro. Ur Kool for replying. I contacted them directly. And they said my credit card didn't pass through their fraud protection. I'm sorry to say I gave up w this company. I went with the REVEL kit. Little more expensive. But it goes faster and further than the standard mini meepo. Plus it literally attaches to all of my boards. Pretty solid overall. Sorry meepo. Thanks comeback kid. anyone have the problem where i cant turn the board off. I can turn the remote off but silver button on the board wont turn it off. I just have to let it sit there and turn off itself

Hi Caden. Your statement about shipping is correct now. Your statement about shipping is not correct when I bought my board last year. Meepo stated that I would have my board in 7 to 14 days, I received it almost two months later.
Would you consider this as the best mini scateboard under 500?

Kristina B It's fantastic. I'm particularly impressed at how it can go up steep hills with ease. It takes awhile to really get used to but once you do you get more confident at going faster and faster. I ride it to and from the store and save on gas! Charges very fast as well!

On the bottom you can check battery but not while you’re riding unfortunately. If there is I may just not know about it lol
